a friend and i stayed at marriot residence handicapped room last year. It was wonderful. My friend is a double amputee, she started to cry and said this is what I mean by handicapped accessibility. I can reach everthing!! The room was beautiful king size bed sofa bed roll in shower . The kitchen area was the right height for her. Something we take for granted being able to wash a dish,prepare coffee,and able to cook! Also salt water pool and Jacuzzi with handicapp chair lift at each one. She said her muscles were so relaxed after being in both she slept really well that nite😌
Thank you for posting this. I have searched numerous hotels in this area. There are very few with grab bars by toilet. As a paraplegic t4 . I was in Barcelo south of Playa last year. It was a awesome resort.
Debbie, this is a very helpful video, and because each hotel chain does not think of how important having things within reach and easy to access, you provide a great overview of what to expect at this Mariott. You may want to double-check with the hotel as this was about five years ago. Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is difficult, isn't it?!
