I started my job two years ago and i got a credit card after one year.
credit card gave me a sense of pseudo security. My salary went in paying credit card bills.
one day i printed all the statements. what i observed that i bought silly electronic gadgets, treated my friends in big restaurants and bars. That's a cycle
you earn and you pay credit card bill.
one best practice, i did was to lock my credit cards and give to my friend for few months. so you break this cycle.

On top of that with contract , you have to pay your own CPP , EI stuff as well ....

It's funny, the more you save the more you are losing. Because of the insane level of inflation your money is actually losing value just sitting in the bank. 10 yrs ago, $100 saved in my bank could buy me much more than today. Best advice I can give is to focus on producing things instead of consuming things all the time.

Biggest expense of a year is more than $30,000 of fees for university or college done by students.
For an unmarried, startups which sometimes start from 100k or yearly family funds..
    For Married, stability consumes a-lot!
    For old, their last wishes!
So, taxes can not be the biggest one as it can be varied by you

Canada can never be a poor country. Small population with huge land mass, abundant mineral and oil deposits, and other resources, one of the best state primary and secondary school education one has to be more than optimistic. One does not see slums in Canada as you can see even in the US!!!!!! So stop painting a bleak picture with an unsmiling face does not Sardar Sahib “chardi kala Sardar Sahib” 1111
