  • This is a preview of the Lejonklou källa Network Player in which I quickly compare it to the Grimm MU1 and Antipodes K50 music servers, and the Aqua LinQ network player, in concurrance with the Aqua Formula xHD DAC.
A detailed review is in the works that will appear on hifi-advice.com.

Please note that this is only a preview, a teaser of sorts, not a full review. I am working on a detailed written review that will appear on hifi-advice.com. Also, note that I am aware of the manufacturer's recommendation for using the supplied stock power cable and the component's own feet. This will all be covered in the upcoming review.

Can you make us listen to the sound in the room? After all those years of reading your reviews, would be amazing to hear the sound!!

While I understand the hype, I feel that a miked recording that is encoded and compressed and then streamed via RUclips using a system and speakers with their own character, does not come across with very much fidelity. You certainly can't tell much from it in terms of how my system sounds. However, I do see how you can get a feeling for a component's relative sound when part of an A-B test. But I lack the equipment for that, as well as the time, I'm afraid.

It's right-free RUclips stock music. Sorry, don't recall the artist.

how does this compete with the Aqua linQ Streamer made in Milan Italy❓

It depends on the DAC but I would say the LinQ has a very different attitude. Bolder, more robust, more expressive. Please read my reviews of the Kalla and LinQ on HFA for detailed impressions.

"measure identically but sound different". that's either listener bias or snake oil.
If you want a good demonstration on how ICs make no difference look up Brian Wampler's channel. He runs one of the biggest guitar pedal companies in the world and has a very good demo on his channel where he goes into the engineering side and has a setup to quickly swap between ICs.

I'm referring to OpAmps and the like, not digital integrated circuits.

@@hifi-advicehigh-endaudioeq3675 OpAmps is what he hotswaps in the demo, he uses a traditional TS schematic, which has been standard since the late 70s.
I like your channel. It's quick, to the point, and the cinematography is good so I wish you all the luck and hope it grows, but it's frustrating to see all the vague and unscientific things that make the hi-fi scene worse put forward, especially since "hi fi advice" is something that many new enthusiasts will search for.
It may actually discourage people from diving in, and RUclips is already full of video where people shill for nonsense.

Glad to hear you like my style of reviews. The "Advice" part of hifi-advice is in the listening reports. I simply tell it as I hear it. And for those who want more info, there are my extensive reviews. Maybe I should have left out the part "measure identically" as that may or may not actually be the case, and may depend on how you measure them. In any event, my point was to relay the maker's attention to detail in selecting components by measurement as well as by ear. The viewer is free to make up his or her mind as to whether they believe such changes can make a difference or not. In any event, the audible end result is as I described it in the video.
