Damnit... I was hoping I could find retail programming software that could decide things that are car specific, like clusters, or gm5, on the E46.... I think Ill just bite the bullet on the BMW software, as I don't plan on getting rid of my E46, without replacing it with another.
I know this is an old video BUT does this protools access modules such as a EGS module or tranfer case control module etc and if they are in limp mode or there is no message from them can you reset it with protools ...... followup question is if i have to get an used or new module , can protools code the new module to the car ( or re vin im not sure what you call that process after putting a new module in you car )

Hi Evan I'm in the UK, have been looking for diagnostic stuff for my own use this looks ideal for my 2008 320d as the tpms light is on and no sensors on my wheels so I can not turn off the tpms system it would be worth if just for that, also would be great to sort out my DSC fault which also does my head in, this looks way better than the icarsoft system I've been looking at and alot more costly so I'm getting Protool. 👍
Hi Evan, I cocked up I've done an ecu reset due to faults I couldn't reset hoped ecu reset would solve issue but now car won't even start how can I revert ecu to previous state if I can with Protool thx.
Looks really good, better than Carly. However as well as not supporting my E46 as you mentioned it doesn't support my E86 either so not of much use unfortunately. Maybe E86 (and E85) will also be added soon too?

I have a 2004 e60 with zero issues from a software and electrical point of view and I must say I am a very risk averse person and a bit of a novice when it comes to car and software but cars have become a weighs hobby and I would love to experiment a bit more. Best Protool video on RUclips! For US E82 I understand Protool can code out TPMS but can it enable RDC which uses wheel speed to calculate a low tire? I understand NCSExpert can but much prefer the simpler (and less error prone) Protool app based approach.
I think you mean to disable RDC (which is your TPMS system), and enable FTM (Flat Tire Monitoring), but I also have the same question. I heard it can be done by editing Vehicle Order alone if using NCS-Expert, but wasn't sure it would work the same in ProTool, or if you would need to code all the individual modules.

Should I buy this to code a new SAS on my e83 x3? I recently bought and installed a new one and when I try to calibrate it on my Ancel bm700 it says calibration couldn't be completed. How do you reprogram door module vin number Eg changed door module which was on a different vehicle and now you install in your vehicle which carries a different vin
I did some coding on my convertible top e93 so I can put it down why in motion. Now when I try to put it back up outside the car with the remote it stops halfway. I have to get in the car and use the switch to finish closing the top. From outside the remote rolls the windows down and puts the top totally down. Not sure why it's not going up all the way with the remote from the outside any help on what I'm missing.
Yes holding down the button the entire time it stops exactly halfway. If I open the top holding the button the whole time it completes the cycle. I'm just having trouble with the close. Very strange. Before coding it worked fine from the key fob open and close

@@EvanGoyuk My FRM got damaged due to a bad battery.They fixed it (not sure if they used INPA etc.) but it took +- 5 minutes to repair.Can Protool fix an FRM that was damaged in this way? It was a short-circuit I guess.

Are you sure the DCAN cable is included in the bundle? I didn't see anything stating this on their website.
