A timeless classic - introduced my daughter to this song - hooked at 15 and now into the cure- siouxsie- echo n the bunnymen etc youth today have shite music
My son just went to the Rock and Rill Hall of Fame with his Hs band ( from Massachusetts) he knows this is my fave band and was disappointed they were not in it. I was just as sad.
So sad that this genius was taken from us at duch a uoung age. If ONLY there was the support available and the anti Mental Health stigma that existed back then. Honoured to call myself a fan.😢
Had the pleasure and privilege of seeing the "Surfjam Stphanopolous Merry XMess Celebration" at the Granada Theater in Dallas in late 2012. And the Soofie song, "Christmas Unicorn" transformed into this. A very joyous moment.
What interests me is he is in GB and is an artist -- it does not matter how he errors because his time was coming fast. I think that is part of the reason.
I don't understand why they use the Word HATE in the beginning. Live do not end with hate, but maybe misunderstanding. I have thiss with my husband. But he is obseseesed, won't let me go
growing up in the 70s and being a teenager in the 80s was absolutely great and music like this formed a generation my parents thought this music was sh*te and hated it... like I'm now hating the current music and think it's pure sh*te...
Reportedly he had some mental health issues... Yet out those ruins New Order emerged. And like the recent loss in Depeche mode new order took that loss and birthed remarko works out of the pain that are transcendent
Rien ne remplacera cette époque riche de sons,de groupes fabuleux, merci

Echo!! I knew I was missing some tunes 🤕 lol Thanks for the reminder 🏆
That’s awesome, I like it when parents show their kids their cool music taste that isn’t todays music
This record will always keep your memory alive. Sleep in heavenly peace
a tragic lost of a troubled mind RIP
Love this song so much, timeless 💭🤝⏳☄🧩
I echo that sentiment 😎🙏
@@davyP12 Yes lol many people do 🐇
Control is an exceptional movie.
Joy Division was such a huge influence on the New Wave music community they probably should be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame for that reason only.

Unfortunately bands that get into the Hall of Fame usually fall into the Classic Rock category
joy division / new order was actually nominated a month or two ago, but weren't inducted for some reason
@@barrygreenstein8383but what's strange is finding some alt rock bands classified as classic rock. 😅
@@colbypaul7749 I couldn't agree with you more

One hit wonder.
So sad that Ian Curtis committed suicide. He was an incredible vocalist and songwriter.
E tão estranho os bons morrem antes!
(Legião Urbana, banda do Brasil)
I know my friend. I hate to hear about the death of anyone. Including dogs and cats.
