Thx for sharing! Everyone should own all of these things anyway, even if you live in a sticks n bricks. You never know..........
So true, good point! Thanks for watching!
I agree, technology is moving so fast that you no sooner get used to something, then something better comes along. We depend on the younger generation (you) to help us understand our options. I’m still hoping that portable air conditioning people will ask you to review their units. Fingers crossed! ❤
I'm hoping the same thing about the portable A/C!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I love this this this was so helpful. Thank you.
I'm so glad you found it helpful!!
TY so much- very informative! My favorite is the water pump and the USB charger. Enjoy your Channel and appreciate you sharing these w/us and your beautiful smile. joy & peace
Thank you, I appreciate it! That water pump is so handy!!
Thanks Heather! Im researching my new life & getting overwhelmed This is a huge help!! 🍓🌞🧚
@@WendyLeeB111 I'm so glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Love the USB light. Gonna get some for my small cabin.
I got a car battery out there with plenty of wiring, but USB is so much more convenient!
Gonna use the car battery as a more permanent install. I'll use USB and M12 batteries for portable devices and lights!
Fun bringing the old school and the new together!😂🎉
The USB light is so handy!! Hardly any power draw & quick recharge!! 💚 thanks!!
U just popped up in my feed and I’m glad about it 😊
First off, Thanks for sharing your story on how/why you jumped straight into this mission.
I’ll be sticking around to learn more and also to hold you up in prayer 🙏🏾
Have fun & stay safe out there!
Welcome, and thank you so much!
Great list!!! Most of my devices are solar, hand crank, wind, and/or usb powered. I never depend on 1 source of power (or anything for that matter).
I do need a hand crank emergency/weather radio! Good feedback, thanks for sharing!
My portable battery bank gives up to 30 jump starts, and it takes q5 seconds to jump start the car battery. It also has a 12 volt receptacle in addition to the usb in and out. Very versatile!
For the lighting category, I would add a usb rechargeable head lamp with multiple light settings. You can set it on a strong beam, wide area, night red light, which is good to see inside without lighting your space up, and a strobe. I use mine all the time.
Great idea on the rechargeable headlamp! I do need to get one of those!!
@@joanies6778 what is the name of it?
Great video (I was looking for a video like this). It will be interesting to see if we start getting more USB-C powered devices in the future with the higher wattage capability.
I was thinking the same - it seems more and more are starting to utilize the USB-C devices!
And thank you!
Looks like some amazing options! We are always looking for items for road trips!
“Keep making memories & adventure on!” ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Thanks for watching! 💚
I like them all
💚
I love your product coutdowns. LOVE
Yay, thank you!!
I have just about all those usb items in my box to get ready for van life. Wish the jump starter I got was that little. The one sold to me to suit my mini van is huge. I still need to get the usb lighter.
Have to say something about jerks that post mean comments. I had posted info about subsized housing which I live in & got a very critical reply that I stop needed assistance. I've been obsessing about it for days -I struggle with obsessive negative thinking. It brings to mind the post you made recently about a criticism you received online.
I know exactly what you mean. My brain seems to want to hold onto and overthink about every mean or negative piece of criticism I receive, abd let it overshadow all the good feedback I get. I really need to work on not ignoring the mean, but not giving it more weight than it deserves. Hugs. 💕
You are my absolute favorite resource for car camping items! Great information Heather! Most of my items were purchased as a result of watching your videos.
Thank you so much, you don't know how much that means to me!
Great stuff!
We have a battery bank that is also solar powered so we can charge it by USB or in the sun.
Also we have a USB lighter that is also a small flashlight.
We’d like to add a USB charge book light to your list.
👍
How cool that your lighter is also a flashlight, that's a great idea! And thanks for mentioning the booklight! I can't believe I actually have one I mentioned in my tour, but totally overlooked it for this video, and it would have been a perfect addition to the list. Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for the list. I have all but the portable power bank and the USB lighter. I will be looking into them. ❤ I love my USB lights!!!!
USB items are just so much handier when you can find them - so little power draw! Thanks for watching!!
I got a power charger to carry on an overseas trip and it was great. I also took it on a camping trip with granddaughters. Everybody had phones and iPads so little power bank was a life saver.
I literally need all of these to fit out my minivan. Thank you for getting them in one video. I have a power station for future fridge but smart to pick a smaller battery pack like your Anker to determine ports and then shopping the other stuff. Would be ideal to use your links and see if there are any good deals for prime day!
I'm hoping some of them were on good deals today on Amazon!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Your videos have been very informative lately and a huge help to us car camping newbies. Lol. I like the different items you showed because some of them I've never seen or heard of. Have a great day.
Thanks so much! Since I haven't been able to do as much hiking or car camping at the moment, I've been trying to get caught up on some of my more educational/helpful content I've been meaning to do when there's time! Hopefully they're helping others!! 💚
Thanks for sharing these items I’m going to buy the battery starter
I think it's such an important thing to have, even if you ideally never have to use it lol!!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures absolutely
Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting to get a car jump starter and it was a Prime Day deal so I grabbed it! 💜
Oh good, that is such a good one to have! I've only had to use mine once for myself (knock on wood) and once to help someone else out, but it was so handy!!
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures yeah it's one of those things that you don't want to have to use but are thankful that you have if you need it.
My 3 favorite USB rechargeable items are: 1.) my pair of clip-on fans with 4” blades made by Opolar (really makes the difference pushing air around at night in combination with front windows rolled down an inch behind rain guards) & I have other rechargeable fans with bigger blades but these are my work horses that will last overnight. 2.) various battery bricks I’ve used since I saw those on the news after Hurricane Sandy people wandering around NYC in the dark trying to find power to recharge phones. I even gave them out as holiday presents to friends & family for emergencies. Used these long before power stations. 3.) all kinds of rechargeable lighting. On all these gizmos I fully charge up everything in advance of a trip and then recharge the power bricks as I drive along with a Luci light or solar string light on the dash to recharge.
I think those are definitely the 3 most important!! Good fan setup too, thanks for sharing!
Have you ever found a battery fan with replaceable rechargeable batteries? I will charge up a dozen and use them instead of my back up power.
@@Erin-Thor so far the batteries built into my rechargeable fans haven’t died yet (won’t recharge) so I haven’t tried to replace one yet (good point, adding to my list of things to check out at some point). However, ALL of my rechargeable fans will also run via usb-micro to usb-A or usb-c charging cable to battery brick, so that is an acceptable backup to me because I always have a fleet of those battery bricks around.
@@karinhart489 - I have a few too, but those too are limited to about 500 charges before dropping to 80%, then another 500 to 50% of original capacity as they are not LiPo4 batteries. Add that in camping, without power other than battery banks, the ability to swap out batteries with fresh ones is optimal. Then when I have power, I can recharge 8 at a time. If you ever do, or have done a “best rechargeable fan I’ve found,” I’d be interested in watching it! 😎👍🏽
Didn’t you have a lantern that flickered and hung? Like an oil lamp or something? I was thinking of getting one-
Yes! It finally pooped out on me (but it was user error, not the lanterns fault lol)
I'm still debating replacing it since I liked it so much, but I had tried some others to see if they were any better. Tbh I like them all! This is the old one I used
amzn.to/4fiHkqe
I love my Luci flicker lights. I have 2- they have a steady and bright setting, also.
The car chargers are amazing!
They really are! It's so nice to not have to rely on someone else to get you going again!
Good video, have one of those fans and they are awesome.
Thank you!! They really are great fans!
Hi Heather... Are great products as I have many of them. Yes, technology has made going camping extremely comfortable, lol.
It really has, lol! Thank you!!
Hi Heather 💗🙋♀️I'm behind on your videos 😢 Fantastic items girl. I had an 8in Koonie given to me for my van, I loooove it, even on low its powerful! I'd like to get that hanging globe light, It's neat!! Thank you girl, now onto your next video 😊
Yes, they are such great fans!! 💕💕
Thank you for watching and always being so supportive!!
Thanks, Heather, these are all great ideas! I’ll check out those fans, they sound ideal for moving air around 🩷
I've been really pleased with them!!
I like the big LED light, that would be good at home for back up lighting as well. 73
I see four types of items are my favorites. Battery, fan, the big lightbulb and the water bottle pump. If i was travling i would duct tape it to the bottle. 73
Definitely agree that a fan is essential regardless of type though! Thanks for watching & for the feedback! 💚
@@ronb6182 good idea about affixing it to the the bottle! It does fit more snugly on the 5 gallon without moving, but on a 3 gallon or smaller, it can still be a little wiggly!
I like you…. First time you came across my feed…enjoyed your narration ….will sub and check you out….👍
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Thank you! 👍 Greetings 👋
Thanks for watching!
Great video!!!
@@rachelpruneau387 thank you!!
With the rumored new battery types on the horizon, I’m a bit afraid of investing in something new and expensive. 😊
It is definitely a big investment, I can understand that! The good thing is the average cost of power stations has dropped from around $1 per Wh for a reputable brand to around 50 cents a Wh, so hopefully they'll keep getting more affordable as new options come out!
I have a digital, USB rechargeable air compressor, so I can check my tires, set it to the pressure I need and it stops automatically.
Oh that's awesome! I have a 12V air compressor, but if my car ever dies or I can't turn it on for some reason, I wouldn't be able to use it. That's a great idea!
my usb sink pump has a stand so it can sit indepedently on it own :)
Oh, cool!!
👍👍
I have a few things that are USB rechargeable, but I have to admit that I still get confused about USB vs USB-C… I think technology is just out to get me!
It's just which end is compatible with your devices I think (I think the USB-c maybe have more charging capacity, but really it matters most for me to make sure I have everything the compatible cords with me. My phone uses the USB-c one that's like an oval kind of, so that's what I have the most cords of lol!
USB-A is the big usb plug is the original usb. USB-mini is the squished rectangle & is older. USB-C is the newer oval shaped plug when you look at the end. USB-c is often used for fast charging cables.
@@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Thanks! That helps!
@@karinhart489 Thank you! That helps!
I prefer USB A bricks because of cost. They will charge a fast charge phone with no problem. And they fit more charging devices. I ordered a double USB charger for my 2009 Kia Sedona mini van all my lighter outlets stay on after the car is off. You have to be careful not to drain the battery if you have a refrigerator type of cooler. Even solid state coolers can drain the battery. I learned by experience. 73
I am so mad at you because I only needed six of those items! 😡 XOXO #diginomad
Haha, touché
Have you read the living Good daily book yet? You might find it interesting😊
No, thank you for the recommendation. Just added it to my list to check out!
I hate that lil pink lighter. Mine dies if I light a candle like 4 times 😂
Oh noooo! I haven't had that problem yet with mine, knock on wood!!
I'm getting the water pump! I
Yay! You'll love it!
😍
I can live without all these things except fans, fans, fans, FANS!!! I'm in SWFL. Night temp has been 94°. I run the AC until my windows get frosty before I shut down. I currently own 7 fans of various sizes. I prefer 6". I have 2 usb that hold charge on low for 56 hours. I run anywhere from 1- 4 fans. 1 in front of me. 1 on the floor blowing up(which is only 4" but a PowerHouse). 2 on both doors for cross flow.
I make sure at least 1 fan has the ability to also use batteries. I've had my power bank go empty in the middle of the night. Not COOL. 😎 🙃

Yes, multiple fans here in Florida are a MUST!!! Especially this summer, ugh! Thanks for watching!
@HeathersHikesAndAdVANtures Thank You!!!
As a backup to the jump starter, I always carry jumper cables. I've been caught in that situation too. Always have a backup power source.
