True story: I was a teenager back in the early 90s. I went to Hong Kong for my routine summer break visiting family. I bumped into Sally in a laser disc movie rental store called Laser People located in Causeway Bay. I told her I was a big fan of hers and I enjoyed her music. She stopped flipping through the movies and gave me her full attention, thanking me for being a fan and had a short conversation with me. What a nice humble person with a big heart! This encounter with her made me love her and her music mote than ever, even to this day. Sally, you are truely loved by millions.

As a fan of Sally Yen since the 1980s, I am looking forward to a 2nd or 3rd wave of her career which has brought so much feelings of joy, love and positivity for so many. Keep going, Sally !
I absolutely love Sally Yeh's perspective on aging especially in the entertainment industry where there is so much focus on looking youthful. I appreciate what she said about "I let the universe take me where I'm supposed to go. I'm not afraid of aging, it is a natural process of life that we have to embrace" PERIOD
Let life comes to you. Live life one day at a time and be in the present moment, in the universe. Ageing is part of the journey. Being able to relate to each other in a relationship and being kind and loving to ourselves and respect each others boundaries and supporting each other to grow. That's Relation-ship. That's maturity and wisdom. Thank you for sharing, Sally ! 🙏🏼☯️🙏🏼
I love her theme songs for Hong Kong movies....especially, her theme song for Asia is Red/Master Asia..... she was so pretty back in the 90s and still is.... Sally Yeh is a LEGEND of Hong Kong cinema and music industry
i met her in a badminton gym in USA she is a down to earth person very nice and friendly. i still have a picture with her with my badminton partner ( Sally please stay healthy and best wishes to you)
Sally is a ‘true blue’ entertainer with her talent not by her looks nor costumes. Glad to know that she will be active again & can’t await to enjoy her new songs and performances.
Remember it was a very late night in year 1992 that I was suddenly waken up by a stunning song with nice melody from Radio Guangzhou on my AIWA Walkman , the lyrics was so touching and I couldn’t hold back my tears and I had a sleepless night after the song. Some days later I finally found out the name of that song was 潇洒走一回. It has been 30 years since then, I still have this song in my car! Thank you Sally
I grew up listening to her...she is not just an idol for me, but more of a mentor, because, like her, I don't understand Chinese but I love singing Chinese words....she's a legend.
Her strong vocal was the main reason why people thought she was a diva and unapproachable. But in reality, she has a bubbly personality. Watch and listen to her since the late 80s.

Trying to maintain a perpetual youthful look contradicts her philosophy ‘growing old is part of life’. Besides, she looks very distinguished and elegant with silver hair.

I'm so glad she's making a comeback! I was just a school kid when cantonpop was a thing. I use to do my homework while listening to all the cantonpops. She's one of my favorite. It's unfortunate that 2 of my other fav legend had passed on.

She’s still beautiful at 60. She’s had so many great songs from the 80s and 90s. My most memorable is the theme song ( 黎明不要來Dawn please don’t come) to the 80s classic movie starring Leslie Cheung, ‘ A Chinese Ghost Story.’
Very pleasant light interview in this crazy political world. Interestingly for the viewers to know, Sally grew up in the west, she understands both world. You see, intelligent people think alike.
Oh Sally my love, of course I remember you and always adore and admire you! I have been admiring you since I was 15...I am still now in at 52... love you sooo much. Please come to Singapore😗😗😗😗
Not to my salty or anything, but I feel like that's basics for any Chinese person born and raised abroad that just isn't praised enough. This is especially when like a lot of mainland people will be so impressed by any foreigner knowing how to say the most basic words in Chinese. Almost all my mainland born friends don't believe me when I tell them that I was born and raised in San Francisco. The two chinese profs in my department kept telling me that "I speak really good, accent free English. What age did you come to the US?" and then they were floored when I told them that I was an ABC. And then their compliment became "wow you speak really good Chinese for an ABC". LOL. That's the byproduct of parents who don't speak a lick of English at home, a mom who loves watching mainland dramas, going to Cantonese chinese school to learn the characters and then self-teaching myself Mandarin by recognizing the characters while watching the dramas. A lot of us also know other Western languages by way of school making us learn as graduation requirements. I can fluently speak, read and write English, Cantonese and Mandarin, on top of having learned 3 years of French in high school and now learning Spanish by immersion because my partner is Mexican American. It's all a matter of being forced out of your own comfort zone and being willing to embarrass yourself and learn!

I was not a big fan of Sally but now I like her more and more, not just because I appreciate more of her songs and singing skills, but the vitality and positive mentality she demonstrated in her recent music program in China.
