I remember playing this on Sonic Gems Collection, I was so close to beating Stardust Speedway, however one day later I lost the game and all of my save data.
Is it just me, or were they trying to go really dark with this one? It's basically Sonic meets The Terminator. The dark future, time travel, and obviously, the T-800 knockoff that is Metal Sonic.
The "SONIC GOT TROUGHT ACT 1" or "2" or "3" thats is so bad if you trought for a good future making so... "SONIC MADE A GOOD FUTURE IN zone 1" or "2" or "3" its a good.
Shame we never got to see Metal Sonic in the SatAM series. One of the streaming services should negotiate for the rights to a long overdue 2nd season - if Jaleel White and Jim Cummings would be able to reprise their voice roles.

Wait I thought this game came out after Sonic 3. The music and everything feels like a natural step forward for the series. Why didn't Sonic 3 use this tech?
Right but I was wondering why Sonic 3 wasn't developed for the newest hardware. It looks like they were developed close to the same time so maybe they decided to make one for genesis and one for the CD and Sonic CD just finished first
Canonically, this is Sonic 1.5 but it was developed at the same time by Sonic team Japan while sonic team USA was making sonic 2. So this is the game sonic 2 was *meant* to be.
My favorite moments in this game: 1. Sonic making a good future (Any Zone - Act 1 & 2 >>> Destroying the energy capsule) (Zone 1-5 - Act 3 >>> Defeating the boss and destroying the main capsule) Good Future in all zones 2. Sonic meets Amy Rose 3. Sonic VS Metal Sonic (Zone 6 - Act 3) 4. Sonic saves Amy 5. Sonic destroys the Final Boss 5. The True Ending

She's brillant smart, and great mind woman who's tell that his works is destined to being in nice work, she helps to who needs it,she is sonic's twin lost sister

This music at 2:04:45 was used for anti-piracy screens!
Yep, the criminals hear him while watching piracy screens on their tv in jail!
Is it just me, or were they trying to go really dark with this one? It's basically Sonic meets The Terminator. The dark future, time travel, and obviously, the T-800 knockoff that is Metal Sonic.
I watch every hour of it and I never get bored of it not lying for real
The way u said it makes me to think about to do such longplay too

Shame we never got to see Metal Sonic in the SatAM series. One of the streaming services should negotiate for the rights to a long overdue 2nd season - if Jaleel White and Jim Cummings would be able to reprise their voice roles.

I remember seeing a review that compared this game unfavorably to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 because of the level design and backgrounds, but the music is so good that I don't care!
1:47 The Mega Drive manual I found did not say how to unlock the Good Futures without the special stages, and that's bullshit.
Wait I thought this game came out after Sonic 3. The music and everything feels like a natural step forward for the series. Why didn't Sonic 3 use this tech?
Sonic CD was for Sega Mega CD, while Sonic 3 was for Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
Right but I was wondering why Sonic 3 wasn't developed for the newest hardware. It looks like they were developed close to the same time so maybe they decided to make one for genesis and one for the CD and Sonic CD just finished first
@@Curtis..... Sega CD was an addon for Genesis, not so many people had it.
This was actually developed alongside sonic 2. The only real advantage this game has over the other sonic games is the cd music and the FMVs
Canonically, this is Sonic 1.5 but it was developed at the same time by Sonic team Japan while sonic team USA was making sonic 2. So this is the game sonic 2 was *meant* to be.
My favorite sonic game and favorite sonic soundtrack!
Happy 30th Anniversary to this game! And wow 30 years since the debut of Amy Rose and Metal Sonic! Congrats Sonic CD!
52:42 seeing dr.robotnik and metal sonic work together make me happy bro
How good of a job you're doing do more
My favorite moments in this game:
1. Sonic making a good future
(Any Zone - Act 1 & 2 >>> Destroying the energy capsule)
(Zone 1-5 - Act 3 >>> Defeating the boss and destroying the main capsule)
Good Future in all zones
2. Sonic meets Amy Rose
3. Sonic VS Metal Sonic (Zone 6 - Act 3)
4. Sonic saves Amy
5. Sonic destroys the Final Boss
5. The True Ending
Is there a specific name for the pseudo 3D effects used in the special stages? (Mode 7 on the SNES)

is this better than sonic 1, 2 or 3 ? I'm going to buy one of these. what do you recommend

Sonic one for fundamentals of mechanics.
Sonic 2 for a refined experience
Sonic 3 for a test of fundementals

I hope to get Sonic Heroes done this month but it’s pretty lengthy
Sonii's biography: she's energetic woman of 15 and she assecures sonic about the missions, she got an spirit like the wind..she's the fastest hedgedog in the world who lives on an adventure. With sonic she works on team heroes, she too have an obsessive fangirl amy cuz both rapid twins are so matching, both got same emotions, same caracterists and she is a princess but amy is jealous cuz she want to be princess too. She's brillant smart, and great mind woman who's tell that his works is destined to being in nice work, she helps to who needs it,she is sonic's twin lost sister
This game has the best level themes among the classics and a banger ost too (the Jp version)
What about the US version,it was the first rock soundtrack in the Sonic franchise and it does a lot of things better than the JP (wacky workbench for example), but eh,I like both.
I love this Video
I bought this game a while back on my Xbox 360 but it’s no longer on the Xbox live store, is there anyway to download it back onto my Xbox one?
