Meek Mill never put on any rapper from Philly, especially not someone with a resume who had a chance to make it big. When Meek was on top, Philly rap was down bad and still hasn't fully recovered. Before him Philly always had multiple big rappers.
It's just like when Nicki Minaj was on top she never collaborated with female rappers and instead of paying homage to Lil Kim, she dissed her. When Remy Ma came out of prison and started making noise, Nicki Minaj allegedly tried blackballing her by telling events and award shows that if Remy is there then Nicki won't be there. So Remy dropped the diss track "Shether". Nicki's team even got that song taken down from YT within a few days after it had like 9 or 12 million views and it had to be reuploaded; it's currently sitting at only 2.5M views. The combination of Remy Ma getting out of prison and Cardi B going viral from Love & Hip Hop is what opened the floodgates for female rap (I'm not a fan of female rap, fyi). Nicki had to fall for female rap to rise up, and Meek has to fall for Philly rap to rise up.
Meek Mill has always been suspect and Twitter-fingers. He's always been emotionally-driven like a female.
1/ He was corny around Nicki Minaj and was being an b¡tch after she got tired of him and broke up.
2/ He beat up Quentin Miller in public just because he refused to ghostwrite for him.
3/ He threw out his friendship with Drake because Quentin wouldn't write for Meek and because Meek suspected Drake was hating on him.
4/ He started dissing AR-AB just because Drake referenced him in "Back 2 Back". Ab never did sh¡t to Meek, but someone else namedropping Ab made Meek start hating OBH. Ab was always better than him lyrically, and always had respect in the streets, whereas Meek was a nobody in the streets and his bars suck.
