    I just installed this on my sofit, but thinking of taking it down. My concern is the design where the light plugs in to the base plate. No mechanism for any water drainage there. So if water somehow gets there it can cause a short-circuit. Possible fire hazard. Should be Ok for wall installation as the water will go down, and hopefully drain.

      There shouldn't be a moisture coming down your soffit unless there's a leak somewhere. My soffit is dry. Why don't you seal the perimeter of the base with RTV or caulk and put the same around the area of the plug.

    Hey David, how is the floodlight working for you? I bought them from Costco yesterday, but I haven’t installed them yet.

      It's still working very well. Even on the low setting it throws a bright light. It's sensitive, the wind seems to turn it on. Overall I like it. Thanks for watching!

      after one year one of the lights went out,, I bought two back then and still have one left.. not going to buy another Koda. It is a nice light, but still junk.

    MY KOda Light worked great for about a year then one of the three lights went out. I should just go by a light that is not junk. They have no help on their sight to fix it.

      Unfortunately all the flood lights on the market are crap!

    Hello what color wires go where?

    • @davidgpo
      @davidgpo  11 месяцев назад +1

      The house wiring should have a black wire, a white wire and a ground that's either green or bare copper. Match the wires in the flood light to the color of the wires in the house.

      @@davidgpohello what if there is no ground wire?

    • @davidgpo
      @davidgpo  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@beans7199 It will work without a ground wire but it's potentially dangerous. Hook up the ground wire on the fixture to either a cold water pipe or direct it to ground (earth).
