a flight to eilat is just a couple of minutes... rather than driving a car for 6 hours :) what was the cruising alt of you guys ? very low i guess beacuse theres not much distance between eilat and llbg
The approach to Eilat is interesting. Due to international tensions, all planes landing runway 3 must come in on left downwind, making sure to turn to base and final before the border with Egypt. All planes taking off runway 21 must make a right turn before the same border. This ensures that all aircraft movements in Eilat are within Israeli airspace. The new international airport will be further north and west, so these kinds of border-related problems will become easier to manage.
PikalaxALT such a shame. I would love to visit Israel 1 day but the tensions are scary.. Such a beautiful country should be accessible to everyone who wants to visit.
i remember my holydays in Eilat Every day i was afraid when the aiplanes landed on the airport in the middle of the city, but it was a very nice time in Israel.
Once Again you admit that we Jews been on this land for the past 3,500 years and even fought the ancient people who lived on the land. Now you give me a valid reason why people who lived on the land for thousands of years and originated from that part of the land don't have a right to live in it, but people who lived there for less than 100 years and didn't even have a state or even built ONE city and with no history on that land can deny us and call us "occupiers".
You see even you agree that we been in that land fighting people who lived there 3,500 years ago so you pretty much destroyed your own argument. Jew=Judea Arab=Arabia

Eilat ? did you mean Palestine ?
No place with that name has ever existed in history. Where is/was it located?
No, Eilat. Not the center of Arabic barbarism called Gaza-City.
