I have a ps4 slim with 1 sec blod. Directly below the APU there are some caps (maybe 30 40 ish) in one group they are arranged horizontally and other vertically. I'm getting 1 ohm resistance to ground on one set and 25ohms on the other. Anyway you can check and tell i dont have any proper repair shop in my country.
As you can see it takes quite a long time and there are many pitfalls in Reballing on this type of Stencil and Jig setup the alignment height has to be precise and it very seldom comes out without having to do exactly what he is having to do. So the Recommendation is to buy direct heat stencils that are EXACT for this GPU use Dry Flux and you will not have any issues i have investigated almost every Reballing system on the market and come to the Conclusion that Direct Heat is the Best Solution i do have a WDS-620 that has Dual Vision Alignment but if you use the Drop-Flow and Touch technique to allow the Chip to Self Align it will be Fine.
Low Melt Solder along With Flux Dipped Solder Braid is the best technique to Prep BGA Chip and PCB Surface.
for ps4 apu there is no factory stencil

Solder pads become oxidized and that is why they looked like they were missing that is why it very important to Tin Both the PCB pads and the BGA pads when performing this procedure.

With the amount of kapton tape used, do you ever run into components being lifted by the tape during the heating process?
Good question. I actually haven’t. I have had components lift from the board that wasnt all the way under the tape, but that kapton tape is by far the best!

I can't believe this is even a thing. I gamed so much on my PS4 and then traded it in for a PS4 Pro on launch day and still game so many hours. I think a very small percentage of PS4 APUs die on people.
