Beautiful seed pod sketches! I’m a zoologist/naturalist and love your ‘zentangle’ imagery of seed pods. You’ve inspired me to draw these in my journal! Thank you for your great instructional style, Angela!
Yet another great video. Your instructional chat makes such good sense! I just wish I had your talent - I've been drawing for years, but I can't seem to capture your so very neat style - but I'll keep trying...
Aww, thank you for your kind words. Persevere by practicing, not trying. Never compare your work to another person's. It's never a good thing to do. Do what you love, what you enjoy, and you do YOU! We're all different, and we all express ourselves uniquely. Like a sports person has to practice the same moves over and over and over, practice the basic line shapes as warm up exercises - just fill a page with straight lines, S-shapes and C-shapes. Perhaps add in circles, tear drops, leaf shapes and so on as you feel you need to as a change. They are the basis of all drawings. Draw slow, draw fast, try different drawing tools and colours and make a fun practice daily. Use newspaper, magazines, and other kinds of paper for fun. Practice, and find your own groove. Practice, not try. Art is always a practice as no one is ever at a point they can't develop and grow more! Draw and enjoy drawing. Enjoy the process, and measure your progress by your past work, not by someone else's work. As Yoda said - do or do not, there is no try! You are doing, you are practicing, you are discovering your artistic expression in the form of lines. I hope that helps you.
Hi ,they look great 👍 sorry you had shingles I got it in 2019 my doctors didn’t have a clue until one doctor a little tiny thing said oh that’s shingles,I was sick has hell but they fixed it went home came to Sydney had it 4 more times with me it makes me sick my blood sugar goes up I go out .Touch wood it seems to have gone it’s in a very pain spot on my bum very pain full.
Thank you for your kind words. I had a relatively easy time with shingles as I went to see a doctor as soon as possible and got the antivirals in good time and they shooed the dratted virus away from the nerves affected. I'm sorry to hear you've had such a horrible time with shingles. I too hope it won't return for you. x
