I really like the look of the colors you chose. I would go with a black for the third color. But I really like the effect you have with the two colors. I can’t wait to try this myself.
Please help with answers: 1. The temperature you mentioned is in farenheit or centigrade? 2. What is it you do that your base doesn't go cold (when pouring into the mold) and a film is not formed and there is no wastage in the end. 3. What is the reason to spray RA into the container, before pouring into the mold.? Thank you.
Thanks. 1. They are in farenheit. But I always try and include Centigrade too on the laser thermometer 2. The soap base will have to cool at some stage, depending on the base it might take a few minutes. You can use rubbing alcohol to spray the surface to help it cool. 3. No real reason, just my way. I dont even know if it helps but it cant do anything wrong.
Hey Dean Great Job. Had a question. I made some goats milk soap. I added 1 teaspoon of carrot powder. After unmolding it there is literally no lather. I used the base on it's own and it has loads of lather.. could the carrot powder decrease the lather in soap?
Love that you cut it "the other way round". And I'd like to see one with white, as it would probably pick up some of each of the other colors and it might look more gradient. Or do 2 transparent colors on the side and half of much opaque in the middle. And then do 2 opaque with a whole lot of transparent in the center. Well Done, Dean! Well Done!
This is melt and pour base so any extra oils you add will only be liquid inside. The saponification process has already taken place. Meaning all the oils have turned into soap with the lye. Adding extra oils will just have them site inside the soap as oil. If it's skin safe mica it will work with all bases. But from a trusted supplier.
Would swirls be possible without the suspending base? I am new to melt and pour but plan of stocking up on my next soap order. You soaps always come out so beautiful! Fantastic work!
If you do a search for bubble gum on my channel you'll find a melt and pour where are used goats milk soap to make a swirl to so it's not just the suspending base
Lone Wolf I know how you feel. Since I left this comment I have almost went through 6 lbs of melt and pour soap. Not all used on swirls but learning how to make different designs. It’s lots of fun so far!
Hi Dean, saw you in the FB group and thought it’s been a while since watching. Been trying my hand at CP soaping but 3rd soap has a LOT of glycerin rivers 🙁. Decided to go back and make a swirl m&p so needed a refresher. That’s why I here.😁. Love watching your videos. How in the world do you keep those warm. Mine seizes up so fast.
Thanks. Stirring keeps them fluid for longer, if you let them alone they create a skin and its all down here from there. Im going to put together a video on that soon.
Awesome experiment 👍. I would have added a white as third color. It will give good contrast and nice swirls.
Glad to see you back to melt and pour and as always your videos are awesome
Love the colours. I am going to try this. White probably for the third colour
This combo is absolutely stunning
I would love to try out the fuschia with Sky Blue and slight gold
Great technique. Third colour? White
Very nice so pretty.
White as a third color maybe 🤩
Quedó hermoso!!!
Si, me hubiese gustado un tercer color!!! Lo pensé desde que inició el video!!!
I love your soaps Dean, beautiful color I bet they all smell great !

I absolutely love the color combo, I think a white with maybe some sparkle glitter in the white, make kind of a galaxy 🌌 looking soap
That's a darn good idea!
Galaxy glitter.......YES!
Aqua would be nice for a third color..nice job!
To pink and purple? Maybe a teal color.
What a great video! I love watching your experiments. As for a third color - what about a colored eco glitter in the suspension base?
I'd say maybe a gold for the third color, really give it a nice pop
amazing job Dean!
I think neon green or a a yellow
This was absolutely beautiful, can you substitute with regular melt and pour if you don't have suspended melt and pour?
each base will act differently. Some are thiner then others and may blend.

Neon Green
Nice

Sounds like it. Adding ingredients can change the outcome of the soap.If you made one with and one without then you can notice the difference.
These are Amazing Dean!! I can't wait to get my soap order in so I can start experimenting with all the great techniques I've learned from you

White or silver for the third color 🙂
These are beautiful! I think a third color should be contrasting, possibly yellow or gold.
Would you say that it’s best to use a suspension base when using mica powder? Also, what percent of oils could you use to create more lather 🧼?
This is melt and pour base so any extra oils you add will only be liquid inside. The saponification process has already taken place. Meaning all the oils have turned into soap with the lye. A lime or neon green
How do you keep the base from necoming solid while you do this process
Its tricky as there is a window of 30 second to a minute from fluid to solid. Keep stirring to keep it fluid
@@DeanWilson thank you i am.new to this buisness and trying to expand my designs on my soaps .
This may sound silly but why do you mix the mica with rubbing alcohol. I’m new to soap making it would be great if you can explain please.
In this video ( ruclips.net/video/amJ5C4aGwiM/видео.html ) if you jump to 1:10 seconds your see why we put it in rubbing alcohol.
Wow superb I like it

I'm a newbie to melt and pour also, I've been through 5 kg of soap so far 😀 I'm still trying to get it right!!

Try a transparent colors of the Aurora Borealis 👍
ohhh.. I might just give that a try if I can find the right fragrance. Thanks.
Northern lights is one of my favorite fragrances....from wholesale supplies plus.....but I dont know what you'd get there.
I cant get that here in Australia.
Great work! 😍
Hi Dean, just noticed your link to mica's, previously you have recommended Mica Obsession, have you changed suppliers?
I use MMO because im in Australia but 95% of viewers are outside Australia. So I linked to the amazon products.

@@DeanWilson I’ll be looking forward to it. Thanks so much.
Beautiful!
Would this work for cold process?
Yes, I think so but when cut it might be better to cut down the center of the loaf rather then the normal across.
Dean Wilson hey Dean, I hadn’t seen a video that has done this so here’s my question. Is it possible to create a layer effect of MP and CP soap?
Not sure about layer effect as CP doesn't setup as quick as M&P but I have seen a M&P drop swirl into CP.
At wht temp u poured the soap base?
It would of been around 130F or just under.
@@DeanWilson I m an artist by profession..now a days fascinated by ur work..love it
It’s 1:38am and I swear I was going to bed then you posted a video.... oh well I’ll sleep eventually lol 😂
Hahaha, I am watching also and it is 1.37am in Melbourne. I could stay up all night watching
My videos will be there any time you want to watch them. But im happy your so keen to stay up and watch.
What is the reason we are checking temperature?
I check temps so I keep under 130F and the colors don't merge into 1.
@@DeanWilson oh okey Dean.thank u somuch
@@DeanWilson can u clarify one more question?under 130F is enough for all type of Melt and pour process soap?
Nope, some are higher. You need to test the base you want to use first.
K Dean. The purpose v check temps is,not to merge into 1.isn't it?
Hi Dean how are you?
very ghostly looking. I think white if you need to add another colour
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Green would have been the third. Neon green. Love your work, I'm inspired to try it myself
I won't say white, because it's too popular and an obvious choice. I think green looks great with purple
