A public comment........ THIS is so good as to almost defy explanation. Ron is so underrated as a guitar player. This practice is so loose but seminal. The definition of proper guitar playing. Then you paste WATT & MASCIS into the equation. Top notch, folks.
Ron and Scott didn't have much money but you see people like Ramones and Sid vicious Henry Rollins Sonic youth praise these guys where is the justice? 🤷
@@samhain3824 THE masses. When people talk about STRATOCASTER players, Ron's name doesn't usually come up. Which is weird, considering he is one of the most inventive Fender players ever. Like that.
Now THIS is a supergroup! Survivors (at the time) from three of the greatest bands ever! Stooges, Minutemen, Dinosaur Jr. To paraphrase Robert Smith: just like heaven.
The strat is ron’s spirit guitar fuck that reverend shit does nothing for his natural touch not sensitive enough! Love you Asheton brothers forever!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I remember Iggy saying once that the Asheton boys couldn't organise a fish tank, let alone a rock band on their own. Looks like Ron's doing just fine here, but on the set list--he had 1970 coming BEFORE 1969? Unless he's trying to be ironic, how much sense does that make?
Got no choice but to dispute that claim, Ron did not use crappy guitars during his early days with The Stooges & even when he played Reverend guitars later on he used them well & they are far from crappy guitars.
ron and scott asheton(r.i.p.).total machines they are.all the time performance wise.
Maaan when Ron hits those first two chords!
the man himself, sick footage.
NO Asheton BROS No Stooges :-( !!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Iggy Pop no Stooges
Damn right
@@Owen_plays_music1049 You're right and he's right
Lets not forget James Williamson
Correct Iggy was cool but he was the least coolest member let's be honest Dave Alexander was cooler haha
J must’ve been pretty happy playing with one of his musical idols, Ron was a big influence

Yes.
However, I personally have an issue with most STRATOCASTER players.
Ron Asheton showed how it is properly understood.

They should of just done a three piece: Asheton bros and watt
Why?

@@StealthyAssassin007I disagree, the differing styles of Ron and J were really cool together.
