Amy is wonderful. I think she favors her Aunt Linda. I know her Dad was and still is so proud of her. I grew up in Marvell Arkansas and knew Lavon well. He was always a character. He even worked some for my Dad. I have many memories of him and Linda playing music on the school stage. Anna Lee was also a friend of mine.
Not a weak member of this tight band unit. All included in meritorious praise, well earned. Does anyone else see the guitarist resemblance to Robbie Robertson?
I am a little sad that I missed hearing this song until today. I guess better late than never. So much talent in the room. I am now on the bandwagon! I met Amy in Dallas many years ago when she was touring with the Barn Burners. She was good back then too!! Bobby Keys played with them that night. Truly of the treasured moments of my long and varied life.
Awesome, awesome, heard on WDST today, love it ! Thanks Amy and guys, we are hooked, Will support you soon at a Ramble or elsewhere soon....John & Jill.....
i believe the bass player is byron isaacs from the weight. the weight is a band cover band. if you ever get the chance to see them don't miss it. its clear that amy has her dad's singing chops. great song. great voice. great band
Been gone for so long I had to be so strong Sometimes I find just don't know which way it goes But the wheels roll on and on Then I see you smile I forget for a while Those days so near won't drown in these tears If you come and rescue me Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free I'm running down like a river to the sea Do you remember when the willows trees would bend When time began the stars would fall and we would stay Stay to meet the dawn Ain't too proud to see your love has set me free How could this be too painful for you babe Come rescue me Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free I'm running down like a river to the sea Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free I'm running down like a river to the sea Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free I'm running down like a river to the sea

Love the tone of the acoustic distorted with a pickup.
Great musicians, great song and vocals by Amy, carrying on her dad's legacy.

hAS ANYBODY THE LYRIC OF THIS SONG?
Been gone for so long I had to be so strong
Sometimes I find just don't know which way it goes
But the wheels roll on and on
Then I see you smile I forget for a while
Those days so near won't drown in these tears
If you come and rescue me
Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free
I'm running down like a river to the sea
Do you remember when the willows trees would bend
When time began the stars would fall and we would stay
Stay to meet the dawn
Ain't too proud to see your love has set me free
How could this be too painful for you babe
Come rescue me
Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free
I'm running down like a river to the sea
Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free
I'm running down like a river to the sea
Come rescue me I'm falling fast and free
I'm running down like a river to the sea
