i think it's a direct sequel to Dai Ou Jou.... i remember of this 3 bosses from the original... the music i heard was the first stage and the boss stage... plus the new element dolls now assistant pilot
It's totally different from dodonpachi maximum, this is a new series of dodonpachi. I think in English is called Dodonpachi Greatest Death, and maybe on iPhone/Android in 2013.
Should we really be so certain of what PC gamers actually want? You realize that the PC includes Touhou, arguably Cave's biggest Bullet Hell competition which is huge in Japan. Considering how much of a success Touhou is in Japan, clearly there is an interest in Bullet Hell shooters on the PC. It would probably be a good idea to have both prominent Bullet Hell developers on the same platform. And I dare say playing Cave shooters is a lot more friendly on the PC than iOS.
Apparently they aren't planning to port this one to the 360. That's a shame. Let's hope whatever this ends up on has decent arcade sticks available, I guess.

Since this game has been initially designed to run on the cave cv1000 system (arcade is still their primary market after all, for OBVIOUS reasons...),it will need TIME and MONEY to port it on other platforms (that's why you have to wait months before you can play your cave games on your xbox360 or iphone). Game localization has a cost too (some 360 ports are japan only for this reason) and don't think that Steam will distribute their games without charging them. But anyone can dream right ? ^^
The arcade is their primary market, but their stock has gone down and sales didn't meet the expectations for Microsoft. The market crash affects worldwide.

I'm not gonna argue on why do you think steam sucks... but I'd like to point out that some creep is monopolizing on the PC... since it has no clear enemy... I'm pretty sure you're aware of this SHMUP that is on the PC right? Also... its not true that we pc crowd just play fps rts mmorpg... they just happen to be adapted to pc waters... but it doesn't mean its the only thing we play...
Guys I dont think their going to release it for the xbox360, cave press said the last console game they are going to realease is bug princess HD for the 360 and I think it's going to be region locked. They are going to put this on the next gen system which is if your keeping up with gaming news is not too far off. We just have to wait and be jealous of those can play it.

It's been more than 10 years...
Considering how generous CAVE has been with iPhone users....it doesn't look like I'll have anything to worry about. I'll see yah soon Saidaioujou

萌えキャラ出すのも声優で釣るのも結構だけど大復活みたいにゲームプレイ中に違和感のあるボスとしたり訳分からない出し方するのだけは勘弁。今回は右上に通信としてキャラ表示されるみたいだから良いと思うね。
