Shady killed eminem and tricked the world into thinking eminem killed shady. That goes into the whole magic trick theme plus it's the classic evil version really won and took place of good version. Like the ending of thriller.
Fits with the Houdini reference. Make everyone think that the album was talking about killing Shady but it was actually a misdirection. Ofc we have no idea.
@highiqof1904Theres an alarm clock again in antichrist? That may have something to do with it? Because the song after is lucifer and obviously lucifer is evil
he's always been big on things being reversed. From playing I'm slim shady in reverse, to lyrics about reversing words to make a new meaning, remarks on the old rumors of playing the Beatles backwards, hell straight back to his logo. It does in theory make sense of true
This is what I immediately thought of when I first saw this theory, because if you think about it in the normal order the first few tracks it's almost mostly Shady, then at the middle part it's a combination of the 2, and then the last few songs are mostly Em. Then the cherry on top for me was someone pointed out the Em tweet about listening to it in the correct order, but he never said anything about what order it should be in...
@1100MC It is probably a reach, but in reverse, trouble is the 17th track number, where slim feeds em a pill it seems. Which reversing our time line by years 1 year = 1 track, would put us in 2007 when he od'd
Something you didn’t mention so might not know, in Houdini’s music video slim is wearing white sneakers and marshal is in black. In the renaissance video of slim spitting on the grave it’s the same white shoes suggesting it’s actually marshal in the grave and slims alive.
I never understood why "Houdini" was so late in the track listing when it starts with "Guess who's back?" aka the classic Slim Shady intro. But in reverse order, Houdini is one of the first songs to feature Shady..
Well CG2 is a dream. Houdini is the aftermath of the dream where shady comes back in real life. Because after Houdini in reverse order is Road Rage. Which in the video for Houdini, it ends with Pete Davidson driving crazy.
What I thought was amazing about save me that I haven't heard anyone touch on is the closing and lowering of the casket and how the music/chorus gets distant and sounds as if you'd be in a casket or anywhere enclosed, it's like echoing and muted compared to the beginning of the track only way I can explain it. Stay blessed 👊🏼
I agree. I actually noticed on the download for the digital album that Somebody Save Me was listed first before the others for some reason. I thought it was a glitch. I've been saying it's a lowering of the casket back into the first song where the grave gets spit on. Then Shady comes alive again. 🤷🏼♀️
@whatisnikkidoing I have the 2 with the bonus tracks. It was most likely a glitch, but it made me try it. People restart albums all the time, so it's fitting anyway intentionally or not.
The loop theory makes more sense. 1. Houdini was released first and for a reason. It points out that "what you thought you saw ain't what you saw" and "the kidnappin' never did happen", like magic and the real Houdini, it's an illusion. The skits where Shady kidnapped Em, never happened and is all in Em's head. 2. Em keeps having dream sequences, and when he wakes up after Guilty Conscience 2, you hear an shady laugh at the end, which means shady is still alive. Just like Houdini says "what you thought you saw ain't what you saw" 3. After Somebody Save Me, when you start back at the beginning and play Renaissance, Em spits on Shady's grave, and Shady comes back to life. This to me, means that suppressing Shady is a never ending cycle, he's a part of Em and can never truly die. I predict there will be a Side B.
@@Jack_the_rizzler-u7laye I don't get the concept of side B. Is it an alternative to an album? Why call it side B or deluxe editon when they can just drop the damn album
@@GarryG just a new take on the old ways of releasing music physically. Vinyls and tapes had an A side and a B side. The main part was A. The B side usually had a different vibe. I imagine he is relaxing6 it like he is to account for how shitty ppls brains are nowadays if not that for some sort of financial reason
I love this because every songs title made sense with the songs, yet Renaissance is just Renaissance, and it's Slim going off. It adds so much more to this theory. This was just Slims rebirth!
May be a stretch to support the loop theory, but... Head Honcho ends with the sound of rain, and both Temporary & Guilty Conscience 2 start with the sound of rain .
What I've realized is that there are no coincidences when it comes to Em. If people found out something in his songs/albums, he thought about it already.
Don’t forget, this album is AT LEAST 4 years in the making. Nothing is out limits. There is a reason why posters say “shady missing” and not ‘dead’. And why there is a skit OUTSIDE of the album. Now, I’m not sure about the backwards order (still need to listen to that), but side b, is almost certain. There are confirmed feature that are not out. (Royce, Dre, and another I forgot)
The actual 'conspiracy theory' is, because the album is heavily inspired by the South Park episode 'Joining the Panderverse', that it was actually Eminem who died in GC2, not Slim Shady and Slim Shady now commits 'identity theft' masquerading as Eminem. The South Park episode deals with topics like Cartman being plagued by dreams of himself from another universe, PC culture, multiversal portal jumping and mistaken identity. Seem familiar? Remember, Eminem set up the South Park connection in Habits, asking you if his rhymes would be ok if South Park did them.
What solidifies the Reverse concept and there being more is the fact that this concept was inspired by the Superman comic series. There’s a THREE part Superman series that was made from 1991-1993. Guess what the first comic was titled? “THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN”. 2nd was titled “The world without Superman”. And the 3rd was titled “The Return of Superman”. Take that, all of you stubborn/LAME Eminem “fans” who sadly lost their fun and creative Minds. 😏
Listen to the lyrics of GC2… “It’s like a dream up inside a dream, I’m trapped and it’s worse than I could’ve imagined, it’s madness. Can’t wake up, try my damnedest, but old habits are coming back and transgenders attack us, frontwards and backwards” Notice how he mentions a dream within a dream. A reference to “frontwards and backwards” And a reference to the song habits too
SSLP2 is on the way. No fucking joke. It makes too much sense and there are WAY too many clues that hint towards it. Shady is the one who is pulling this “Houdini” TRICK that was mentioned during the album roll out. People are stupid if they believe that just dropping TDOSS album was the trick 🤦♂️ cmon now, Eminem is WAY more clever and detailed than that. Stay tuned 🤫
Nope, no sense, the end of Guilty with the dead of Shady make no sense for the skit and Houdini The beginning of Evil make no sens with the end of Lucifer and the end of trouble The end of Lucifer for antichrist make no sense if we listen it reverse Just be logic
@@burdman1333no man, Eminem want to say with TDSS Shady can't rap today because is not mature, because he have 51 years old, not 25/30 anymore, Eminem is mature now, his evolution like a man make he can't be Shady who are immature
I'm also sceptical about it. But I did listen to it in reverse, and I liked it a lot, and must admit it makes some sense. In an alternativ universe where Marshall never overcame his addiction. Somebody Save Me - Marshalls cry for help, he cannot escape his addiction to drugs, and he fears Shady's return. Guess Who's Back - Shady is coming back. Tobey - Marshall song. Bad One - Marshall song. Temporary - Marshalls last goodbye, because he's about to battle Shady and might lose(die) to Shady. Head Honcho - Marshall song. Guilty Conscience 2 - Marshalls battling Shady and he's also drinking alcohol again. (which means Shady is winning) Breaking News - Shady is taken more controll over Marshall. Houdini - Marshall tries to battle Shady again. Road Rage - Marshall vs Shady, but ends with Shady dyeing Marshalls hair blonde. From here on Shady is way more present on songs. Fuel - Eminem vs Shady Antichrist - Eminem vs Shady Lucifer - Eminem vs Shady All You Got - Shady tells Marshall he cannot win. Evil - Eminem vs Shady Brand New Dance - Shady (Marshall would never release this, it's from the vault, but Shady did, because he is evil.) Trouble - Shady is taking even more control and has Marshall drinking alcohol again. Habits - Shady has Marshall both drinking alcohol and taking drugs, now Shady is in full control and therefor Marshall "dies". Renaissance - Slim Shady song.
If you listen to it backwards this line in Houdini makes more sense. "Sometimes I wonder what the old me would say if he could see the way shit is today". This makes sense backwards because shady hasn't made all those songs yet but if you listen to it in the presented order this sounds odd because shady has had several songs calling out the way things are currently.
Houdini placement didn't make sense to me when the tracklist came out. Very first lead single and put so many promos into it and it ends up towards the end of the album. Em puts too much effort into everything he does. Jesus Christ he's been throwing hints towards this album for years. It it that crazy to think that he made the whole album a double.
I love how nobody is entertaining the idea that maybe the story just isn't as tightly woven as people expected, and everybody is scrambling in order to fix it. Makes a million times less sense in reverse, but people find the idea of it so compelling that they'll find any patterns possible to justify it.
another theory i’ve seen is that Slim kills Marshall on GC2, and then the rest of the album is Slim PRETENDING to be Marshall, Temporary is after GC2 because Marshall actually did die, and on Somebody Save Me, it’s actually Slim rapping about missing out on his family growing up because post Recovery (2010), Marshall put Shady away
Damn, I just can’t stop listening to this album. Tried it in reverse. Masterpiece. People can say what they want about EMINEM. He talks his shit, is honest, weaves intricate stories and does it all better than any other rapper. Period. The man’s a legend in his own time. 🔥
There are no coincidences when it comes to Eminem. There’s WAY too many clues and hints and the story told starting from “somebody save me” is way too obvious when you take the time to connect the puzzle. If you know the big magic trick that he pulled, please inform all of us because Slim Shady making us think that he’s dead is the only magic trick that I see and the only one that makes any sense at all after realizing there was a puzzle. And since it is a concept album that’s supposed to make sense by playing it in order, explain why in “renaissance” it’s only Slim Shady rapping without it being a “dream/nightmare” explanation. Explain why “Houdini” was track #11. It ONLY being Slim Shady on Renaissance without it being a dream ONLY makes sense if you listen to the story starting with “somebody save me”. You will notice that once you make it to “Habits”, Slim has completely taken over Marshall by forcing him to relapse back into his “addiction”. Guilty Conscience 2 was a NIGHTMARE that makes you think Marshall killed Slim, but he didn’t. That call to Paul was STILL part of Marshall dreaming, he actually didn’t wake up yet (like you see in a lot of movies/shows) and it wasn’t Marshall making the call, it was Shady (hints the laugh at the end) Then guess what’s after that if you go to the next track backwards? “Breaking news” (skit) and then “Houdini” starts with Marshall REALLY waking up in his bed when he receives the call from Dr. Dre letting him know that “we have a problem”, which he shows Slim Shady step out of the portal in real life. I could explain the whole story starting from “somebody save me” but there’s just too much to type. Hopefully I gave you a good enough idea of how to solve the puzzle lol. Trust me though!
The laugh at the end of the Guilty Conscience skit stood out to me so much; it didn't feel like it fit with the story of the album when listened to in order, but in reverse it makes so much sense.
If you listen to it in the normal order, it almost comes off like a tribute to the career of Eminem with him going from a gimmick that was Slim Shady to being regarded as one of the all time greats. If you listen to it in reverse, you get him relapsing back into Slim Shady.
Backwards works really well and the story becomes Marshall's decent into madness starting at GC2. And every song from there gets increasingly darker until Renaissance and shady has fully taken over. I will be listening to it this way from now on, its a fun ride. To me its like, a concept album played start to finish. But played backwards its like a true eminem album. In reverse, it really feels like a MMLP 3 or a SSLP 2. These are my thoughts!
Em lets you pick who wins. Whichever way you choose to listen to the album. That's one of the dopest concepts and what makes this a top tier Eminem album.🐐
I believe this to be true. But I also want to believe that he meant for the front to back to be a "trick". He's pretty obvious about comparing Slim and the Devil in this album, and there's a saying "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled is convincing the world he doesn't exist". Basically this was plausible deniability, if listened front to back. The only way Em can exist in this day and age is without slim, but the only way Slim can exist is to be Em, so he's playing facade, it's his last trick
In guilty conscience 2 at the end he calls Paul to tell him about his dream, but on TROUBLE towards the end slim tells EM 'Yeah you thought you were dreaming huh'😵💫
Listening to an album in its standard order (from start to finish) is a normal thing. Everyone knows that you have to listen to a new album this way the first time. Eminem saying that the album should be listened to in the correct order to make sense is very obvious. This alone already reinforces the theory.
This actually makes the album a faaar more cohesive story in my mind! And, I’m very much anticipating a Side B! Here’s why (and there are more clues beyond this, but this is what is jumping out at me)… Houdini died at the age of 52 in Detroit in October. Eminem will be turning 52 this October. I had fully expected this album to come out in October…because Eminem pays attention to shit like that. He’s one of the most highly intentional artists ever…he drops more Easter eggs than the Cadbury Bunny. So why release this in July, when he could have made all those little tie-ins by releasing a few months later? I’m highly suspicious that a Side B will come out in October - likely with a lot of the features that we had been anticipating on this album based on rumors and hints in the Houdini video (Dr. Dre, Snoop, 50 Cent, Royce, Boogie). Also of even more note…Houdini died on October 31st. Halloween. *Trick* or *treat.* And as Em told us, “Abracadra. And for my last trick, I’m ‘bout to reach in my bag [treat bag, bag of tricks], bruh.” I’m just saying…do not be surprised if you wake up on October 31st to an unannounced Eminem drop. 🤷♀️
@@cornball3448not really……… you think… Eminem… one of the best wordsmiths of this generation…. Didn’t play, or plan, his own album… backwards…. You’re the idiot here…….. I’m conceptually doing shit nobody will get unless I literally say it. Yes this theory, was thought of… by Eminem, in the booth…. Months ago…. And he did make it so it could be played both front and back. Lil Wayne did something similar with FUNERAL album. In the letters FUNERAL, upside down, it spells LIL WAYNE.
Guilty conscience 2 is about Eminem outgrowing slim shady, he’s sick of it, it’s the final battle. Him laughing at the end of the call is just him insinuating that slim will always be apart of him like he is slim inside but he clearly wants the character out of his life
Now that I thik about it. It makes so much sense. In reverse order after guilty consciensce where hes arguing with slim he wakes up. After the skit comes huodini and ij the video slim and marshall fuses together. Every song that comes afterward the two are rapping about the same things while going back and forth until he takes over completely in renaissance. If this theory we are talkong about is true then its brilliant work from eminem.
It can be played either way and both make sense, which is effin awesome !!!!! This makes me so happy too bc i really didnt like it the regular way too much but now , this is effin awesome
It is coming! there weren't any features from Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, or Royce da 5'9". 50 Cent and Dre confirmed they have features on Eminem's album during their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.
Okay, I have already listened to the full album at least 7/8 times, and after I finished your video I rushed to listen in reverse, just finished and just... HOLY FUCK! On the ending of 'Renaissance' he goes: "So you can wait for your flowers until you're blue in the face Stupid, you ain't gonna get'em until your funeral, wait" And at 'Somedoby Save Me' IS more or so ABOUT HIS funeral So basically goes in a loop that can tie the story on both ends If he really estrutured his album like this with the 2 distincts narratives in mind(and at this point, I already belive he did), than he really is the FUCKING GOAT PERIOD Btw love the content, lov u from Brazil Crypt
After he disses J on tobey there is also a line in Bad One where he says that when he disses people of Kanye's status ( like Jay Z) he just blames it on shaddy... adds credit to this theory I think... your thought?.... also bare this in mind... like you pointed out there are so many hints that this is meant to be reverse... the foot steps, the lucifer and antichrist reference, the Houdini video ends in "Road Rage" and also the promo with david blaine pulling off a trick to end his career... the chorus of bad one goes from him going platium to diamond and then gold....but in record sales it goes the other way around..."reverse order"
Personally, I find entire sequences of song transitions to be perfect when listening to the album in the reverse order: Tobey - Bad One, then everything from Head Honcho to Antichrist or even Lucifer (especially Road Rage - Fuel, where it sounds like the key remains the same in the beginning of the second song!), then everything from Evil to Renaissance (the part from Brand New Dance to the end being especially narratively pleasing and coherent). Honestly, the only transition I find to be completely jarring is Lucifer - All You Got, and that should say something.
This actually makes perfect sense and explains the end of the tobey video as well where slim in the hockey mask takes out Marshall and cuts off the arm he writes with.
You made mention about Tobey and how it fits, but remember at the end of the video Marshall gets hit with a belt and then chainsawed in multiple pieces. So that too fits the reverse order plot twist.
Oh my god, this makes so much more sense than it needs to. What really scared me is that with the context of White Gold's Bad Habits chorus being one of the last songs, it's more Shady saying some final words to Marshall. Which leads onto Renaissance: "Next Time I'll Be In Your Veins" makes so much sense since the song is entirely Slim Shady. While listening to this, I was also wondering if that promotional video of a hand popping out from the cemetery will ever be followed up on, because the closest song that references that is Somebody Save Me. What if Marshall really is being buried, and this album takes place while he's in his coffin, with Shady fighting to take control throughout the album to escape the coffin and dig his way out. The Eminem walking away after spitting on the grave could either attempt to be taken literally or as it's playing on inside his head. Marshall may have buried Shady mentally at first, but the reverse listen happens and eventually, Shady gets a single hand on Marshall and starts taking him back. I love this theory, and makes me love the album even more, weather or not it's true.
This was a very cool breakdown listening to this album in reverse. Even in its presented order I never thought slim died because Marshall wakes up from a dream. But if the reverse album is secretly the correct order that makes sense with Antichrist going before Lucifer instead of after and how the more songs you cover they do get more controversial and catchy almost like pop songs which is more of slims style than Marshall’s
In one song earlier in the album (can't remember which song), the portal Slim comes out of was mentioned before Houdini, the song in which Slim enters the modern world. Wouldn't make sense if that was mentioned when it was. Especially for an album you should listen to in order if the event didn't happen yet.
In Guilty Conscience 2, slim voice doesn't sound right at all during that song. But as you listen to the album backward, you notice slim, shady, voice getting better throughout the album until the very last or first song when it's just slim shady rapping, and it sound like how he was in the old days. Meaning he has fully taken over.
Speaking of guilty conscience 2.. When I first listen to the album one thing did bother me. In GC 2 he 'makes peace'(if you can call it that) with everyone who he had beef with, including the likes of a certain MGK, but then later on Bad One he throws another shot at him. There's a plot hole somewhere. So listening to the album backwards made it make more sense to me. But I dunno, I'm just a gen z who knows nothing about hip hop 🙃
As always Crypt! Great content. The Death of Slim Shady is an instant classic, if there is truth to the reverse album concept it just further emphasises the levels of artistry. Eminem is by far the greatest rapper to do it 🔥🔥🔥
I just re-listened to a playlist I made sequenced so I didn’t have to skip tracks and not only did it work but the last thing he says on renaissance is “you ain’t gonna get em until your funeral……wait” and renaissance is a French word meaning rebirth👀😱🤯
The skit after Houdini goes into Houdini. You may mention that in this, that's just the most obvious transition when played in reverse. I also think I know the release date for the other side. Counting up to the skit & Houdini gives you track #8 & track #9. August 9th IS a friday. I just want my credit IF I'm right 😭
I saw a tweet that said Sherri Papini was missing for 3 weeks, and the plane said Slim Shady is missing. so the release date for side B might be 3 weeks after the release of the album, which would be August 2nd..
@@AnAccounteven that. I definitely don't think it's gonna be too long considering it does continue a story. MTBMBs Side A & B were damn near a year apart. I think 3 weeks to a month is fair. Also, Vinyls aren't shipping until October so I would think you'd wanna have it out before then
Damm!!!! That's interesting. I was confused when Slim laughed after Paul hung up on him. If Side B rumors are true with all slim shady rapping. The whole society is gonna lose its mind LoL 🤣.
NAHHHHH BROOOOOO‼️‼️‼️You need to listen to The Eminem Show and then The Death of Slim Shady (in reverse). I don’t know if he did it on purpose but he made something crazy. 😭🔥 And I also hace a theory: Slim Shady k!lls Marshall on Renaissance and on the B-Side he will try to k!ll Eminem.
you forgot 1 thing... at the end of antichrist you get "wanna dance with the devil" "wanna dance with the devil" "wanna dance with the devil" repeated and bizarre leads you into lucifer!
I found these 2 while listening backwards. Awesome video brother. Guilty conscience 2 marshal asks if it’s his 1st or 2nd shot, slim says it’s his 3rd. In Evil he says he’s on his 3rd shot In trouble he says oh you thought you where dreaming, after marshal has his dreams in the skits
Eminem's album "TDOSS" tells a different story when listened to in reverse order. The theory breaks down as follows: 1. Somebody Save Me: Foreshadows Marshall’s death. 2. Guess Who’s Back: Signals the return of Slim Shady. 3. Tobey: Slim Shady shows up when things don't go as planned. 4. Bad One: Suggests Marshall's job is done and he disappears. 5. Temporary: A letter to Hailie before he dies. 6. Head Hancho: References the story of Ezekiel and Slim Shady's creation. 7. Guilty Conscience 2: Slim Shady laughs after Paul hangs up, indicating it wasn’t a dream. 8. Breaking News: Slim Shady shows Marshall the chaos he's started. 9. Houdini: Paul wishes Marshall luck, thinking he's on a tangent. 10. Road Rage: Slim dyes Marshall’s hair blonde again. 11. Fuel: Indicates the reaper is coming for Marshall. 12. Antichrist: Mentions Kurt Cobain and hints at Marshall's end. 13. Lucifer: Sets up the finale with a switch between Marshall and Slim. 14. All You Got: Slim asserts his dominance over Marshall. 15. Evil: Foreshadows Slim's complete takeover. 16. Brand New Dance: Slim shows his evil by mocking Reeves. 17. Trouble Skit: Slim drugs and ties up Marshall. 18. Habits: Marshall struggles while Slim forces him to take a pill. 19. Renaissance: Slim buries Marshall and spits his first solo track without him, hinting at the unleashing of Slim Shady in Side B.
When you hear Guilty Conscience 2 first it doesn't make sense at all. They're literally talking about the previous songs in the intro. If you listen to it in reverse the intro makes no sense at all. Also why is slim still rapping like Marshall would in Renaissance? Makes no sense at all.
Yo, I think you are right about this. I was kinda thinking the same thing. You are right, em never said what order to listen to it in. Guarantee he’s gonna release more to it.

@20eyesmisfit because he has fully taken over...he becomes Marshall. And it does make sense because they're talking about the events of Head Honcho...then Marshall wakes up at the end to call Paul, and says "and then I wake up and it was all real" then Shady laughs, and says."I gotta show you something"
@@BrendoTheRoar Lol so now it's shady has taken over fully but still becoming Marshall? You people are reaching so hard and keep changing. And in head honcho Shady didn't even say anything genius.

I would have ordered the tracks different 1)Bad one 2)Somebody save me 3) Temporary 4) Tobey 5) Head Honcho 6-End the way it's currently ordered to GC2.
Now wait to you hear this theory of mine: the entire album will be made into music videos, even the skits. And each video will flow into the next. Then edited in a movie. Then he will release the “musical movie” with limited theatrical release. Kinda like the T.S. Eras tour movie.

2. Em keeps having dream sequences, and when he wakes up after Guilty Conscience 2, you hear an shady laugh at the end, which means shady is still alive. Just like Houdini says "what you thought you saw ain't what you saw"
3. After Somebody Save Me, when you start back at the beginning and play Renaissance, Em spits on Shady's grave, and Shady comes back to life.
This to me, means that suppressing Shady is a never ending cycle, he's a part of Em and can never truly die. I predict there will be a Side B.
This is the most reasonable theory I've seen down here. I'm surprised it isn't getting much attention.
Wow this makes the most sense I really hope Eminem drops the side B
@@Jack_the_rizzler-u7laye I don't get the concept of side B. Is it an alternative to an album? Why call it side B or deluxe editon when they can just drop the damn album

May be a stretch to support the loop theory, but... Head Honcho ends with the sound of rain, and both Temporary & Guilty Conscience 2 start with the sound of rain .
If this is legit, Eminem is a damn genius.
This was a shady album and he will put out a Eminem album soon.
@@FiryaFYI another feature may be Ed Sheeran
He's been a Genius! Lol. The Goat!!!
Take that, all of you stubborn/LAME Eminem “fans” who sadly lost their fun and creative

@@burdman1333interesting take. Eminem even states in his lyrics he was a comic book nerd. 😮

Notice how he mentions a dream within a dream.
A reference to “frontwards and backwards”
And a reference to the song habits too
The fact that this theory exists proves just how good Eminem is with writing and storytelling
Imagine it was suppose to be listened backwards and that slim shady has come back and he releases another album following year

SSLP2 is on the way. No fucking joke. It makes too much sense and there are WAY too many clues that hint towards it. People are stupid if they believe that just dropping TDOSS album was the trick 🤦♂️ cmon now, Eminem is WAY more clever and detailed than that. Stay tuned 🤫
Nope, no sense, the end of Guilty with the dead of Shady make no sense for the skit and Houdini
The beginning of Evil make no sens with the end of Lucifer and the end of trouble
The end of Lucifer for antichrist make no sense if we listen it reverse

(which means Shady is winning)
Breaking News - Shady is taken more controll over Marshall.
Houdini - Marshall tries to battle Shady again.
Road Rage - Marshall vs Shady, but ends with Shady dyeing Marshalls hair blonde. From here on Shady is way more present on songs.
Fuel - Eminem vs Shady
Antichrist - Eminem vs Shady
Lucifer - Eminem vs Shady
All You Got - Shady tells Marshall he cannot win.
Evil - Eminem vs Shady
Brand New Dance - Shady (Marshall would never release this, it's from the vault, but Shady did, because he is evil.)
Trouble - Shady is taking even more control and has Marshall drinking alcohol again.
Exactly
Houdini placement didn't make sense to me when the tracklist came out. Very first lead single and put so many promos into it and it ends up towards the end of the album. Em puts too much effort into everything he does. Jesus Christ he's been throwing hints towards this album for years. It it that crazy to think that he made the whole album a double.

I love how nobody is entertaining the idea that maybe the story just isn't as tightly woven as people expected, and everybody is scrambling in order to fix it.
I feel like the wake up bits are a call back to Bad Guy from MMLP2 at the end when he says "I'm the nightmare that you woke up still in"
If you listen to it in the normal order, it almost comes off like a tribute to the career of Eminem with him going from a gimmick that was Slim Shady to being regarded as one of the all time greats.
I was really hoping Crypt would get messages about this n I'm happy 😎
I still think it'd be a cool concept that if each song played in different orders created different stories.

In guilty conscience 2 at the end he calls Paul to tell him about his dream, but on TROUBLE towards the end slim tells EM 'Yeah you thought you were dreaming huh'😵💫
when he calls Paul he says "I woke up but it was like I was still dreaming" and then you can hear slim laugh
Good take❤
He's still with us! He is just missing at the moment 😂
I was wondering why noone caught on that 🎉
Also when I'm gone is playing in the background in one of the skits
But there is a reason why Shady didn't die. Its because none of this is real!
Listening to an album in its standard order (from start to finish) is a normal thing. Everyone knows that you have to listen to a new album this way the first time. Eminem saying that the album should be listened to in the correct order to make sense is very obvious. This alone already reinforces the theory.
And this is why I sub to Crypt. Articulate and done his homework. Def one of the top 3 reactors! Good job Bro, loving your work.
This actually makes the album a faaar more cohesive story in my mind! And, I’m very much anticipating a Side B! Here’s why (and there are more clues beyond this, but this is what is jumping out at me)…
Houdini died at the age of 52 in Detroit in October.
And for my last trick, I’m ‘bout to reach in my bag [treat bag, bag of tricks], bruh.”
I’m just saying…do not be surprised if you wake up on October 31st to an unannounced Eminem drop. 🤷♀️

That album is fire
Personally, I find entire sequences of song transitions to be perfect when listening to the album in the reverse order: Tobey - Bad One, then everything from Head Honcho to Antichrist or even Lucifer (especially Road Rage - Fuel, where it sounds like the key remains the same in the beginning of the second song!), then everything from Evil to Renaissance (the part from Brand New Dance to the end being especially narratively pleasing and coherent).
Honestly, the only transition I find to be completely jarring is Lucifer - All You Got, and that should say something.
Don’t forget in the Tobey MV Slim kills Em… I think there might be something to this theory. 🤔
This actually makes perfect sense and explains the end of the tobey video as well where slim in the hockey mask takes out Marshall and cuts off the arm he writes with.
This makes sense because Shady is opening his eyes in the bodybag, hinting at him not being dead.

Yup. And the album was released in reverse order on youtube. I could bring up more points that tie into that but I can t be bothered to type that much
@ericbelander2319 I, wouldn't type a book either. We can leave the theories and explanations to someone else.
Also on guilty conscience, after Paul hangs up shady laughs. Which could also show that it’s shady

Awesome stuff, major DAMN. Vibes I love it
In one song earlier in the album (can't remember which song), the portal Slim comes out of was mentioned before Houdini, the song in which Slim enters the modern world.

Eminem's album "TDOSS" tells a different story when listened to in reverse order. The theory breaks down as follows:

Literally Guilty Conscience 2 into Breaking News makes so much sense cause it's like Em had a dream and woke up to realize it was real.
When you hear Guilty Conscience 2 first it doesn't make sense at all. They're literally talking about the previous songs in the intro. If you listen to it in reverse the intro makes no sense at all. Also why is slim still rapping like Marshall would in Renaissance? Makes no sense at all.
@20eyesmisfit how is he "becoming" Marshall? Do you also realize there's times in the album where shady calls himself Marshall, and Marshall refers to the voice as shady when it's his own?
You say reach but here you are too...
@@BrendoTheRoar Do you even know what you write? You literally said Shady takes over and he becomes Marshall.
Guys. If you go to Eminems official youtube channel, the songs are literally uploaded in reverse order.
I would have ordered the tracks different
1)Bad one
2)Somebody save me
3) Temporary
4) Tobey
5) Head Honcho
6-End the way it's currently ordered to GC2.
Ye I feel you bro
I don’t think this is a coincidence, Eminem is a mastermind and genius and this is insane🤯bro never fails to blow my mind🔥🔥🔥
Now wait to you hear this theory of mine: the entire album will be made into music videos, even the skits. And each video will flow into the next. Then edited in a movie.
Then he will release the “musical movie” with limited theatrical release.
Kinda like the T.S. Eras tour movie.
That’d be dope. Not sure if he’d do that, but that’s a great idea
@@JackDiamond_FBOW the money that movie would make…
@@JoeyTheSinic I know 😭. I’m just bitter cuz the movies for American idiot and the black parade fell through and im still salty 😂
crypt looks like he could be the ref in the next def jam fight for new york. ( im just playing crypt you know I love you)
Proper order: Good Ending
Reverse order: Bad Ending
I just love Em for the angles and depth he provides 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤌🏻
Where is the other features dre mentioned when he announced it on the tv show like 50 cent and snoop ? Possibly a side B with them on it
That better be where the supposed Tech N9ne feature is
