Outback to rainforest (Alice to Cairns) - Ep 17: Lap of Australia

In this video, Ché steps back as the activities coordinator, leaving me to plan our 1 week run to Cairns. We stop over once more in Alice for another bakery visit and to fill up on food and fuel, before heading for the QLD border, stopping at a few places missed on the drive down.
From the border we head for the barra capital of Australia with hopes of a barra pie and maybe catching a few ourselves, finding one of the best free camps of our lap yet. The dry outback then becomes wet tablelands as we get closer to Will who is waiting in Cairns with his hire van, ready to see as much of Far North Queensland as we can.

Hey guys wow what a trip to get some pies 😂 they looked yummy…love to try the curry pie 😋 the waterfall campsite……best free one you’ve been to so far 🤔 are you sure! Robin falls was perfect such a beautiful peaceful spot! and yes I’ve added it to our trip now 🤗 it’s our 2nd stop 😊 can’t wait.

Ps if you can remember guys how far was robin falls to Katherine As you were going north on the durat road ? we’re be going from Katherine to robin falls then south bound back on the Stuart highway.

Hahaha they were great, worth the wait but we were sad not to find any Barra pies 😂
I think both great for their own reasons haha but robin falls was definitely more peaceful you will love it!! 🙌

Oooo that’s a great question honestly can’t remember exactly 😂 google maps says 2hrs 15 mins though! Can’t wait to see your adventures they’ll come around quickly!
