To recap, the 'V for Vendetta' mask is based off of a man called Guy Fawkes. He attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament with King James I still inside, on 5th November 1605, but was captured and killed. The event is known as 'The Gunpowder Plot'. In Britain, we commemorate 5th November as 'Guy Fawkes Day' or Bonfire Night, where local town councils make a large effigy of Guy Fawkes (complete with the iconic mask in most cases), burn it in a bonfire, and set off a large fireworks display, as a sort of celebration for the fact that the King survived the whole ordeal and symbolism for 'stealing away the gunpowder plot'. V for Vendetta popularised the idea of the mask symbolising anarchy, hence the reason why protesters are often seen wearing the mask.
@@PersianSlashuur To be fair, the fireworks thing was added to the festivities later down the line. I guess people got bored of just watching a burning effigy for a night.
In case you didn’t notice, the enemies you encounter will say what their affiliation with. For example, the Matsugane Family will now confront you in the streets, so there are more enemies to fight

Personally, i think the dynamic between Yagami and Kaito is better than Kiryu and Nishiki's. Unlike in Yakuza 0 where you can CLEARLY see who's the alpha of the two, here I think they are treated as equals by the writers, making Kaito feel more than just a mere sidekick to Yagami than how Nishiki was to Kiryu. Not to mention Kaito having more scenes showing him as a badass and respectable partner to Yagami in less than the first half of the game, which was more than Nishiki in the entirety of Yakuza 0. But maybe it's just me.
Nah, 100% agreed. Nishiki, after all, since 1 exists, had to be the yakuza that wasn't quite as good as kiryu. But kaito is not inferior to yagami, just different
The dynamic isn't "better" because Nishiki and Kiryus dynamic was only meant to be that way in the eyes of the Yakuza. Kiryu and Nishiki were equals with Nishiki poking fun at Kiryu, singing karaoke and drinking together. The whole problem is that the Yakuza stuff essentially forced them to compete with one another. Only with Nishiki did Kiryus cold exterior melt away.
In an outward perspective, Kiryu and Nishiki’s dynamics may have been more “Alpha-Beta” type in Yakuza 0 to pave the way for Yakuza Kiwami when Nishiki is sort of casted in Kiryu’s shadow and he feels that sort inferiority, causing him to kinda snap. ✨Butterfly effect✨
Actually, Ninjas wearing black was a trope that was, at least thought to be, originated from old theater plays. (And they got this idea because all black outfits were common for workmen when they operated stage effects mid show.) While there are SOME cases that are believed of them wearing black outfits, most often they would wear Navy Blue, Dark Red or BROWN outfits when carrying out their missions. Of course, this was when they weren't wearing regular clothes to disguise themselves most of the time.

I've been thinking that the V for Vendetta guy was the witness for awhile now too, but as for those doubts you had and the reasoning behind them, I think they can be easily rebuked. 1) The thieves are runners, not fighters. - the group is known for snagging shit and using their parkour to run away, none of them would last getting into a yakuza headquarters, alone OR as a unit. 2) Their secret identities. - None of the thieves know who each other actually are, thus it'd be difficult to consult with other members about saving a relative. -The masks they wear could also be a sort of confidence. So long as you wear them, you're not you and safe from actions.(well, not like our witness wasn't self-confident BEFORE his sister was taken hostage anyway.)
Looked it up, there is an Ikinari Steak location in New York as well, and apparently the CEO is playing himself in this game, probably one of Yakuza's many real world advertisements. Seemed to work well on Nico.

Wow, I can't _believe it_ , an actual weeb in a Japanese game... it feels somewhat surreal and meta. Kinda disappointed Ryan didn't do the trademark Naruto run. btw new mic sounds very good, not at all echoey. You should keep doing whatever settings you have with it.
Let me give you a basic run down of charge attack nico, you basically hold down the triangle button during the triangle button portion of your rush combo. Once more, you can hold each one of the three heavy attacks at the end of your combo to do some great damage especially since you have triple finisher. It is not at the end of a combo, you got to be in pace like you are doing a normal combo like square square triangle (hold) triangle (hold) triangle (hold) for example.
Yosuke: Hey, Yagami-san! I just came up with a great anime plot. Basically there's this high school girl except she's got huge boobs. I mean some serious honkers. A real set of badonkers. Packin some dobonhonkeros. Massive dohoonkabhankoloos. Big ol' tonhongerekoogers. What happens next, you ask? A transfer student shows up with even bigger bonkhonagahoogs. Humongous hungolomghononoloughongous! Yagami: What.
The mask from V for Vendetta is actually somethin called a "Guy Fawkes Mask". Guy Fawkes was a terrorist responsible for atempting to bomb a government building. This act of terrorism failed terribly, and he was caught and burned at the stake. They made it a whole big deal because it was a terrorist that failed a bombing, and made a whole holiday out of it (Guy Fawkes day is actually coming soon!). Because of this, it was a good fit for the movie V for Vendetta where the main "antagonist/protagonist" V is out there attacking the government for stuff they did. It was appropriate so he donned a Guy Fawkes mask and that's sort of become this symbol for anonymus people fighting against the government and tyranny (or whatever anonymous is up to these days). I probably butchered the story but I reccomend you look it up, Nico! It's pretty cool! Penny for the Guy!
The two game posters when you chat with Ryan are actual arcade game. Maimai Milk+ is a music rhythm arcade game that are really popular around Japan & whole ASEAN (Australia & NZ have one as well). Border Break is a mecha arcade game. Well sadly its availability in other Asian countries is limited.

Yes Nico, Ikinari Steak is indeed a real chain of restaurants. They've got stores even in the USA, so you don't need to go to Japan! In fact... They're building one just outside your window right now!
Uhm, Nico you do remember Yagami clashing with Hamura last episode, right? Therefore all his goons are hunting you down throughout the city. Actually ever since Yagami's been sniffing around for the Mole, I feel like the fights with thugs have gradually increased as a result.
It is interesting that you started Yosuke/Madoka's friend link and completed Ryan's link. You can now go back to Yosuke and have Ryan be a recommendation for Madoka. Ryan is the first out of 4 individuals that you can have assist you in fights and are crucial for Yosuke/Madoka's friend progression, so pay attention, Nico, for future friend links, as well as side stories, as they can intertwine with each other.
Yeah Nico you have like at least three different organizations waiting to kick your ass right now between that gang, the Matsugane family and random street thugs!
AWESOME! You are off to a good start with Yosuke and Madonkadonk... Now you won't see any progress on that front for AT LEAST 20 parts of the LP. You really hate to see it happen.

15:39 Yagami never killed anyone!!
Nico Ninja boi Ryan says "Nin Nin!" Often used as ninja character sfx XD
The only way they could have improved this game was if you could fully date Madokadonk
Blue Flare!
Darn, I’m not #inb4blueflare.
Yeah. That would have be nic...
TENDER CLEAVAGE!!
I'd definitely hit that.😍
DetectiveBobbyFulbrightTheSpiritofShiningJUSTICE TENDER CLEVAGE
@@jinzerox wait is she really? I played the game and thought there were only 4 and got all of them. Madoka never showed up
I was looking forward to your reaction to this character and side quest! BTW, you actually need to increase your alcohol tolerance in order to move past the initial conversation
Thank you so much NicoB for making these amazing videos and regular uploads! Unfortunately, i don’t really have time to watch like 90% of the series you have covered, but i’m getting through them :D
idk why i’m even commenting lol, this gon be buried in the sea of comments
Yosuke: I've got so many ways to describe boobs
Yagami: dude, just call them fun bags and boom! More customers
Random thug: Please dont let me die!
Yagami: You cant die until you catch these hands!
New audio sounds great! Good job with the room acoustics, barely could tell it was the same room as the FE vids where it was way more noticeable. The SM7B is a great mic, perfect choice!
The cooking method in Japan is cooked in High Temp. In 5 min so thats why it has a browner outside and a raw feel inside most stakes like Kobe Beef plus most cooking in japan feel like Raw if you are western.
Yosuke: Greetings, sit. Would you care to see some TENDER CLEAVAGE?????
Ikinari Steak actually has two branches in Manhattan! Don't even need a passport!
CODE RED!!!
New Kingdom hearts 3 Re:Mind trailer coming in a week!!! Plus, Union Cross will be getting some BIG story updates soon!!!
So yeah. You probably should react to the new Union Cross cutscenes that will be coming out once you have the time. So either around the time Re:Mind drops or very soon.
Nico: Explaining great and wonderful news
Behind Yagami some random dude: Been having difficulty peeing lately. That's normal Right? Right?!
Yagami: *walks past giant traffic cone* "Why is it.... shaking?"
Ryan from underneath the cone: : "ˢʰᵃᵈᵒʷˢ"
NIN NIN
37:00
Nico: I'm gonna turn *you* upside doodly-
*Grubhub ad plays*
"I WANT IT ALL AND I WANT IT NOW"
26:20 Yagami kicked that guy in the shin so hard that he spun roughly more than 180 degrees as soon as he hit the ground.
Holy crap, I've been hearing so many people using the Shure SM7B that I could just tell that you were using it.
19:20 I imagined giant dangling eyeballs in the place of breasts and now I wanna bleach my eyes out
Yes Nico, Ikinari Steak is indeed a real chain of restaurants. They've got stores even in the USA, so you don't need to go to Japan!
In fact...
They're building one just outside your window right now!
I'm gonna be honest, I was really hoping that "Madoka-chan" would somehow be Majima
"Doya, Kiryu-chan?"
"What the fuck is a Kiryu?"
Tender cleavage, blouse biscuits...damn these KFC items are getting weirder and weirder.
Uhm, Nico you do remember Yagami clashing with Hamura last episode, right?
Therefore all his goons are hunting you down throughout the city.
Actually ever since Yagami's been sniffing around for the Mole, I feel like the fights with thugs have gradually increased as a result.
Someone has to say it since Yosuke didn't, but...
*TENDER CLEAVAGE!*
26:45 - "Do you love pancakes?"
Yo Nico i think your audio sounds smooth as butter, its good!
Another amazing episode! Keep up the good work Nico. The mic quality is very good, definitely worth it's money.
16:15 .....LMAO! That was awesome. XD
I’m glad you saw my comment about the Korean Barbecue place. I’m was a little worried you would remained confused about it
I highly recommend pausing at around 53:20 or so and using the period and comma, plenty of comedy gold with a poor man who fell a little too far.
You sound like a fighting game announcer
Say: LUKA!
Wow the audio upgrade sounds great! It felt like Nico was in the same room talking to me. Well worth the upgrade. :)
Ikinari Steak is like everywhere, Nico. I found two in Manhattan and it’s seriously delicious.
Woo, few more videos and Nico shall remember Guy Fawkes' Gundpowder Plot without a second delay :D
Yeah Nico you have like at least three different organizations waiting to kick your ass right now between that gang, the Matsugane family and random street thugs!
Wow, the President of Ikinari was able to drop some wisdom without moving his mouth
Whoa, AWESOME new mic! That is SO much better!
AWESOME! You are off to a good start with Yosuke and Madonkadonk... Now you won't see any progress on that front for AT LEAST 20 parts of the LP. You really hate to see it happen.
Yagami : i won't let you die
Also yagami : *let a man get dragged in a car and possibly killed in the middle of the forest*
Yes Nico, Ikinari Steak is a huge chain located in Japan and the USA.
Ikinari Steak is really real! Here's a quote from their website: "Ikinari Steak is a Japan-based steak restaurant group. First opened in Tokyo in December 2013, Ikinari Steak now has over 300 locations throughout Japan (as of August 2018). It is the most popular steak restaurant in Japan.
Ikinari Steak opened its first U.S. location in February 2017, and now has 9 locations throughout Manhattan."
Ahem as picky penguins we should tell nico to play Catherine full body when it's released
The steakhouse friendship makes me think about Nico leaving KFC holding a family-sized bucket of boneless wings and bumping into Colonel Sanders.
Midnight, truly a magnificent night time gift.
I must say, the new audio quality is really making you sound more expressive. It works well on you.
Imagine if KFC employees would say
"Hello, would you like to see some chicken breasts?"
Yosuke (not Persona 4): This girl has MASSIVE BADONKDONKS!!
Yagami: Okay....I'll take your word for it.
*sees madoka*
Yagami: Can I get a refund?
Yosuke: You just gotta think of as many slang terms for breasts as possible! This burly Yakuza looking guy suggested "Tender Cleavage", but I think that was a bit too forward.
"Are you my client?"
"Yes, you may call me...Overhaul!"
Ikinari Steak is a real place.
The entire sidecase is an advertisement. Like that pizza one.
Well Yosuke is 17 3/4 based on the timeline.
