      @@michaeldonlan5343Amos got into constant arguments with Lear and the writers over the show's direction. It was supposed to be about serious topics handled with comedy, much like All in the Family. Instead, it turned into The JJ Show, focusing on his antics, which irritated both John Amos and Esther Rolled, though Rolle was less confrontational about it. Eventually, the arguments got to be too much, and Amos's contract was dropped before the fourth season. His character was written out through an off-screen death to make sure he wouldn't come back. Rolle would leave on her own terms after season 4.
      To their credit, the show's rating collapsed after Amos's firing and especially after Rolle left. Even though Rolle eventually returned, they could never capture the early season magic, and the show wrapped after the sixth season.

      Henry was recycled as his fathers name. In my head cannon I assumed he was Henry James Evans. The entire family history of living in Tuckahoe was erased for Good Times as well.

    Maude,the beginning of the end when it comes to the nuclear family. Our youth and society were much better off when the mom stayed home. Women went out to work and paid a daycare to raise the children

    • @lacecocoa6272
      @lacecocoa6272 2 года назад

      Not true I'm. I think the 90s really ruin the whole nuclear family. Rap culture became very popular it should have been something that was nice or Urban Music but it should have never become what it has become. People literally follow it. I feel like every moment can be hijacked and I definitely feel like the feminist movement the black movement has all been hijacked even the lgbtq movement. I believe people take stuff and if so many people get involved so many people get to push their agendas and pushing multiple agendas at the same time never ends well. I don't think this show was about ruining the nuclear family I think it was just about talking about women's rights.
