The skin will normally start to flake and peel after a few days and will usually fully heal within 7 days. While sunburn is often short-lived and mild, it's important to try to avoid it, because it can increase your chances of developing serious health problems, such as skin cancer, in later life so be careful pot some sun screen on it and be safe
I had one horrible sunburn on my upper chest when I was around 15. It peeled in sheets and was very painful. The skin has been extremely sensitive over the past 24 years and I've developed a lot of strange moles and freckles. No sign of skin cancer, but it's only a matter of time in Arizona.
This happened to me when I was 12. I was in such a great pain that I couldn't lie down and sleep. I was sleeping sitting on the couch. There were huge painful blisters everywhere on my body. Luckily I didn't get any scars or pigmentation from it. I think this is because I was young. I don't believe my skin would still be healthy after that kind of damage nowadays.

Hello, I got a giant sunburn on my back yesterday and it’s starting to peel. I don’t want to peel it off myself. I have a question. When it falls off, does it hurt?
I don't think it should hurt if it falls off, since the dead skin was already detached from the skin, so technically you shouldn't feel anything. Take this with a grain of salt though, because I'm not an expert.

I don’t want to peel at all because I’m afraid of it. I’ve been trying to put aloe or like some Vaseline face lotion but it’s so hard because like whenever I clean my face so I’m in in the shower it always peels off. Is there a better way to make it heal?

Antifungal shampoos like Nizarol or Selsun Blue can work, and there’s prescribed soaps/lotions as well if that’s accessible to you. Hope this helps.
Yep in 8th grade i got severey bad sun burn in my 40s and have freakels because of it
Unfortunately, there are those of us who, no matter how frequently we apply and no matter how high the SPF, we still burn.
I had a second degree sunburn and when my shoulders peeled, they were covered in freckles. They kinda cool tho
I don’t want to peel at all because I’m afraid of it. I’ve been trying to put aloe or like some Vaseline face lotion but it’s so hard because like whenever I clean my face so I’m in in the shower it always peels off. Is there a better way to make it heal?
Sounds crazy but I tried it and it worked. I took a hot hot shower right after and I swear it made it better
I used the WHOLE BOTTLE OF SUN SCREEN BOTH UVA+UVB AND 50 SPF 😃
