DAG is used to provide high availability to Mailbox Databases, Exchange email users are not interrupted in case anyone server fails out.
There are different ways to configure dag, this Dag tutorial video explains you a simple example for creating dag in exchange server.
Minimum of two mailbox server is required to create a dag.
First, we have created a file witness server, which was dc in our case and can be any pc in a network joined with the domain.
Disabled the computer account after giving the full permission to our exchange server EX01 and exchange trusted subsystem.
Also added an administrator to exchange trusted subsystem.
From exchange management console we created Database Availability Group and added our both exchange server EX01 and EX02 to dag membership.
Finally, we added out mailbox databases in a dag.
I assure you, after watching this video completely, you will be able to create dag for your exchange server 2016.

Exchange 2016 has all the roles in mailbox server, so no need to deploy other roles saperately, except edge server.

I am getting below error while adding the servers in DAG(first server got added, error while adding the second one). FYI- first server and second server in different subnet.
A server-side database availability group administrative operation failed. Error The operation failed. CreateCluster errors may result from incorrectly configured static addresses. Error: Windows Failover Clustering timed out while trying to validate server 'XYZ'. If this is in a disjoint DNS namespace, the DNS suffixes for all servers in the database availability group must be present on every server
Need urgent help.

Earlier i was having one exchange server EXCH01, then later we added one more Exchange server EXCH02 and Created DAG, and we forget to activate the server license and its expired, after it gets expired our emails are not going from EXCH02 and staying in queue, later we activated the exchange server license and still Emails are not going,
Please give me solution what to do

Hi, if you forget to activate your exchange server license, it does not affect mail flow. Unless its the host server(the server hosting exchange). The problem to your mail flow is another cause, the queue should be telling you the reason or windows event logs, application logs. The impact of not activating exchange server license is the limit of databases you are allowed to mount. without license, the max number of dbs is 5, after activation, you can mount more than 5 dbs.
