Hey , is this ATS friendly format ?
@@JeremysTutorialsI have made many resumes and all of them gets rejected , connections on LinkedIn are suggesting that my skill set is up to the mark but my format is not supporting ATS and hence it’s not reaching out human HR to actually scan it. I have made several resumes , I do not know which one to go with?
@@JeremysTutorials You talk super fast and I didnt catch what font you chose Can you let me know please ?....This is he best tutorial ever Thank you so much

Seriously thank you so much. It has been such a struggle finding a simple and straightforward template like this online, it just doesn't exist!!! This just saved me so much stress and headache after searching for weeks. Big Kudos to you my friend!

For those wondering, in Microsoft word (or most text processors) to get add a vertical line to separate information, hold "Shift + \".
yep! you can also just copy this |
Thank you. I've only recently left school and doing all of this has been so confusing. I'm always unsure if I can trust what a website is telling me, or if they're just trying to get me to buy their templates. This means so much, and is such an easy tutorial that anyone would be able to follow. Thank you for doing this good in the world!

Thanks, whatever I've been doing hasn't been working. Been in a year long slump after some medical problems ending my last job. Hopefully this can help improve my prospects.

Use the app on your phone too. Use the plus icon to separate tabes. Copy it and delete to remove cell lines. It's possible if you don't have a laptop. Little tricky but still possible to moc up the same. Good luck people
Thank you 🙏 helped me clean up my resume. Was told recently my resume had too much space 😅
Glad it helped!
You just saved my life! THANK YOU
youre welcome!
It was a wonderful video and I indeed created a resume using your help. Thanks a lot for that.
Also, it would be really helpful if you could teach us steps to make the existing template (which you thought us in this video) get more attractive or creative.
sounds good for an upcoming video idea
Man your typing speed is damn good! If possible can you make a video on how to increase your typing speed.
haha sure one day I will 😁🫡
Just used this. Thanks for sharing all the google docs tips!
youre welcome!
Very helpful man thankyou!!, I wish I found this video earlier
Glad it helped!
Just what I was looking for. Thanks man.
youre welcome!
I love it. You just forgot the space inbetween Leadership & Involvements though.
i see, thanks for mentioning!
@JeremysTutorials I've been at only 1 job/company for 7 years. Ive moved up the ladder within those years as well. From cashier, to team trainer, to manager. If I'm tailoring my resume to the job position I want, how do I go about this? Do I break down each role and the dates. For example, "trainer May 2017-Dec 2019, Manager May 2020- July 2023", then put in bullet points what Ive done in each role at this company but tailored/relevant to the new job role Im going after?? Or do I put in bullet points my accomplishments relevant to the new role, but only under "manager"? Thank you for this helpful video.
i personally would tailor it to the position im applying for by putting all the other titles like cashier, trainer, manager to show progression and loyalty but that's just me
@@JeremysTutorials thank you for replying. For clarity, when putting all the other positions on my resume, do I list things I've done in those positions that are relevant to the new job role/position I want?
@@CareBear1394 yes that's a good idea
Thanks for this vedio, near and clean
Thank you!
ur so awesome!! thank u so much for this simple and easy tutorial!!
youre so welcome :) thanks for your kind words
Thanks! This was helpful ! If you're making a resume for someone can they go in change and update if needed without messing up the format ?
yeah they should be able to 👍
This is just what I needed. Thanks a lot for making it easy to write a resume.i have been putting it away for almost a year now 😬 only to find out it’s easy to make.thank you again🎉
yep, i was stalling on making my resume too until i found this strategy haha :) best of luck to you
Thank you
fire video deserves millions of views
thanks!
Extremely beneficial!! Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you. Lifesaver.
youre welcome 😁
Thank you, this video was exactly what I needed to take my old style multi page resume to a single page. Question, how would you suggest approaching it if you have had multiple positions (promotions) at the same place of employment?
you can make an indented list within the same place of employment to section out your different titles and roles
Really useful information and Nice presentation....
thanks! :)
In the future,if you’re going to make videos like this don’t make the assumption that everyone knows how to do every step. It’s very frustrating when trying to follow along.
i see where youre coming from, but i tried making myself very clear and time efficient. will take your comment into consideration :)
You’re honestly kind of an R-tard, he literally showed every single thing that he did, if you’re referring to where he even went in the first place, it’s literally Google, and he went to Google docs, you can literally look everything up and what to find it💁🏻♂️
@@JeremysTutorialsI also see where you are coming from
@@SHAKTI2.O thanks for understanding both sides :)
If you slow it down so you can follow his steps it helps a lot.
really valuable video, how you insert vertical line between words like after address, then after email, then after phone number like that "!"
you have this in your keyboard/symbols page " | ", you can feel free to copy paste that
Thank you
This was an extremely good video, right tab stop (WHO KNEW??)
thanks man! i know right, i didn't know that feature existed for the longest time as well
@@JeremysTutorials any tips on how to make sure ATS picks up the date on the right? Used on workable today and it couldn’t pull the top experience date but it did all the others?
@@simonknight2973 not exactly sure. Some ATS screeners work differently than others. I've had some that were able to pick up the ones on the right
Thank you so much for your tutorial. It really helped me.
you're welcome, really glad it did
Why Isn't my right tab stop working? Ive been trying to correct everything and it's driving me crazy.
did you add right tab stop and hit Tab?
@@JeremysTutorials I apologize, I forgot to press tab 🥲👍 Thank you!
@@marisolmadrigal377 happens to me all the time! you're welcome 😊
Ok. I'm ngl but I'm a student and i needed a resume to apply for internships. I used the same template but adjusted a few points here and there. And previously when I used to apply for internships, the response rate was negligible. I consider myself lucky if I got a response but after using this format i could say the response rate is easily 30%.
Glad it was helpful!
That was a BIG help! Thank you!
You're welcome! glad it helped you :)
You won a new sub for this video! Thanks!
youre welcome i appreciate it 👌🫡
Very helpful and informative video!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video man...really appreciate it...one question- to you and to your viewers- how about having page set up margin to 0.25? but this will make CV page Awkwards, then,,,then may be to have font Arial 9 - to have more content for one page CV, any other font suggestion in word which size 9 may look easy to read/> ? how about Trebuchet MS
yeah sounds like good suggestions to me
Loved it, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
In a traditional resume some resume may include the companies number, address, and your manager should that still be included in todays resumes?
Thank you Sir, very helpful, I just changed my template 9 hrs ago. Just wondering, there's no profile picture? 😅🙂
there isn't for this format, but you're more than welcome to add one for your own!
Jeremy Woo with another great tutorial.
thanks 😁
CPP alumni. Nice! Good video 👍
lets go broncos!
i needed this video so bad!!
THANKSS
im glad i can help you out!
How are you doing that separating line between like your phone number and location?
use this | its on the keyboard 😁
first time writing a full on resume like this, should I mention my age somewhere within the resume and if so where should it be positioned. video was very helpful btw 🙏
i personally wouldnt put my age, age doesnt matter as much as experience 👍
This was awesome! 🎉
thanks! :D
Very helpful. Thank you.
appreciate it!
Thank you for this bro. I've been needing a proper resume format besides the templates they give out on Microsoft Word.
I didn't go to CPP but I've been there many times. Let's go Broncos.
haha for sure man anytime 👌
Thanks a lot, that was tremendously beneficial for me.
you're welcome
I’m a fast speaker as well, but during tutorials & teaching others something u should be mindful & slow down on your speaking just in case some people have a hard time keeping up because I often catch people doing the same thing with me so I have to slow down on my speech as well 😅😂
noted! appreciate it haha. i naturally talk fast as well but I will try to slow down a bit for upcoming videos!
Thanks from the community !!
appreciate u and my community 👍
This video is slap for all those shit youtube channels who go with AI resume/ cv creation and fool peoples. Best tutorial so far and i am 200% sure that this will consider by ATS as well. Thanks mate for your efforts
thanks! appreciate you :)
Do you have a video about one fresh out of high school?
i think i do somewhere in there haha
How did you add those small vertical lines at the start? The ones that space out your location, number etc?
It's on your keyboard! | you can copy paste that :)
Hello, would you recommend completely removing the education part if you don't take a design related course?
yeah, but i mean education like a degree is prty important too even if its not as related to the career
This dude is everywhere in this video.
thanks for your feedback, will keep in mind!
Thanks man. really cool
No problem!
This is amazing but can you help me out and tell me what exactly should i put in leadership & involvements
any of your leadership experiences. this could mean being a chair position or board position of a club/organization at work; or it can just be you being a mentor. involvements can mean clubs and organizations that you join!
Im following the exact steps yet my spacing looks very different. Please show all the settings you are using.
should be showing everything... which spacing are you talking about?
Can one make a two page resume ? I am going to be working on one for the first time and if need be does two pages get looked down upon?
Epic vid btw
hey thanks for your feedback! i think there's nothing wrong with a two page resume but many recruiters prefer a short and to the point resume. if you can try to list out your major highlights in one page, i think thatll be cleaner and more efficient for the recruiters (especially since some only do a quick skim)
how do make the pipe symbol on mac?
what pipe symbol? This one? |
Thank you for this professional resume template. Do you know how I can do the right tab stop on iPhone in the google documents app?
i have no clue how to do it on the mobile version, sorry :(
Thanks a ton Jeremy!
hey man youre welcome 👍
Should I still add my past work experience which is not really related to the job I'm applying for?
if thats the only work experience you have id say do it. otherwise use another work experience thats more relevant and expand on that
I heard one column resume templates are the best, but what if your contents are longer and it jumps to the next page? Is that ok
i would recommend keeping your resume to one single page
