    Thank you showing Filipino tradition to the world. I came to America in the late 80’s, got a descent job and became a citizen but my mind and heart both remain a Filipino. I’m retired now after 3 decades of hard work and my 3 children are all grown up, done from college and having all good jobs. Hopefully Godwilling I and my wife will be moving back to our beloved Philippines for good! God bless you Brian. Just subscribed.

      From a local, Thanks a whole lot. We are friendly, easy to please, always loud and laughs at little something, laid back, all the result of not having much of everything as opposed to many people from the west and from a few Asians. We respect foreigners. If you don't mind me sharing what I personally think is important for every foreigner to know about us though I can see that you're a smart young traveller and one that is adventurous. We are at the bottom of the least visited in Southeast Asia. But we are coming along and thus, Filipino youtube followers are that excited to welcome foreigners like you. At times we may act our share of unlikeable characters that foreigners think is a part of our culture and thus painted us all in one color by those who doesn't travel with open mind that foreign countries are Foreign and should be expected to be entirely different from where the foreigner is from. We have seen channels that have described the Philippines and many other impoverished countries as places not worth visiting simply because of what a foreigner have seen, or "by chance" or one's own experience. Honest and fair account or description of anything normally is kinder and appreciated. People probably will learn from it too. It is human to take offense when suggestions of inferiority and implying another culture is better and the other is unacceptable. These have been covered or talked about not only for the Filipinos. People's rebuttals are then described as defensiveness or denial of the truth which is true at least to many but not all Filipinos because defensive commenters on RUclips are only tiny part of a country. Generally, foreign visitors and vloggers are kind and we feel that about you. Above all, most of us will always be kind and helpful to our foreign visitors in the best way we can. We hope you enjoy your stay.

    Thank you 🙏, Brian! Many foreigners are Filipino Citizens already. It's their choice to become a Filipino Citizen. Yeah! It's true, the cost of living is very affordable here, with friendly, cheerful, hospitable, very accommodating & God-fearing people. Education is very important in our Country wherein every President elected, he/she always emphasize & supports Education which contributes most not only to the society, to every Filipino family but our Philippine Country itself, it's our Worldwide pride that Philippines is being admired by our English pronunciation & accent in Western Countries, Asian & around the World 🌎🌍. That's why many Filipinos who are educated are now American Citizens too, Emigrants, working abroad to earn more income for their Filipino families. They sacrifice specially their homesickness, hardship, tears, loneliness & longing for their Filipino families & our Motherland. More to talk & very interesting about Filipinos & Philippine Culture, Customs & Traditions & it's on your experience, search, learning & explore your journey here in the Philippines that proves. Everyone is Welcome here & God bless 🙏😇♥️! :-)

    Some cons for the Philippines could be lack of infrastructure or the prevalence of poverty and killer traffic. HOWEVER, the government knows this. And it's now doing whatever it can to improve on this: more highways and bridges are being constructed, the renovation/rehabilitation of the current international airport in Manila (Ninoy Aquino International Airport), as well as the building of a completely new one, of an aerotropolis (New Manila International Airport), is being produced, and the first Metro Manila Subway is now in the works. And a third telco company's presence has sped up the speed of internet in this Southeast Asian nation. The population growth rate is also slowing down as more couples are more focused on quality for the family, and not quantity.

    • @pingyu5141
      @pingyu5141 8 месяцев назад

      Blame it to the Aquinos and the Dilawans. They didn't want the Philippines to move forward into prosperity, to justify their claim that Marcos Sr. stole from the coffers of the country which dragged us into impoverishment! However they had overdone it, and for three decades kept on harping the same blame over and over again.. while not really lifting a finger to improve the Filipinos lives! And finally the populace has wakened up, and voted for MARCOS JR. with an overwhelming majority win for the presidency. Now we could expect a brighter future, and for the Philippines to rise up to claim once again the title of being the 'Rising Tiger of Asia'.. like during his father Marcos Sr. era!

    The only country in the world left where divorce is illegal. In the Philippines when some things happens to you,they're ready to help you. Filipino people are helpful,approachable people. Example of that was we helped countries in war like South Korea, gave shelter to Jews during the time of Hitler in Germany, gave asylum to Russians, Vietnamese,etc.

      Divorce is illegal in the Philippines and yet there are so many instances of men cheating on their wives. Is the wife just expected to tolerate their husband’s unfaithfulness for the sake of a united and happy appearance in front of family and friends? On this premise, divorce is frowned upon but abuse ie. emotional/ physical/ mental / financial is acceptable?
      Family means everything to me but I wouldn’t hesitate to leave and divorce an unfaithful husband. No woman deserves to be treated with disrespect and neglect by the man who promised to love and cherish her. Also, studies have shown that an unhealthy and unhappy marriage can adversely affect the children’s mental, and emotional well-being since children are very perceptive.

    Dear Brian - I would give you A+ for your narrative about the Philippines and other countries. If you're Canadian, you should meet another Canadian person who loves the Philippines and actually just became a Filipino citizen late last year. Kyle is well loved by Filipinos. His RUclips is called Becoming Filipino and his name is Kyle Jennermann
    aka Kulas. We wish you all the best.
