    Sir, i have installed security onion on vmware and using metasploitable and kali linux for testing. I'm trying DoS attack with hping3 and it got no alerts on Security Onion. Is something that i forgot to do ? Thank u sir

      Hi Rivola might you need to do some NIC settings in VM

      @@shehzadarshad2000 I'm using NAT dan Bridged for Security Onion on Network Adapters settings.. Kali Linux is NAT dan Metasploitable NAT too.. What kind of NIC settings that should i use sir ? I'm using the network adapter that used on Official Security Onion Documentation

    sir I am installing security onion by attaching private network adapter which do no have internet access, will it work as I am not getting any alerts on the security onion dashboard
    Please help me

      @@chetansinghal7971 Chetan did u follow all the steps make sure the admin nic and traffic should be different nic and physical nic coming from the switch span port should be configured on the switch as well

    hello sir thanks for this video. I successfully installed security onion on my virtual box but i can't seem to access the web interface. Please can you tell me what can be wrong. I have tried like 5 times. I still don't understand how to configure the NICs and will I access the through my normal computer or a virtual computer?.

      @@starboygadtuso9530 I had the same issue. I just rebooted the VMWare again and I could access it. I hope this help you.
