Nice. I pulled mine just by moving the front diff and carrier bearing. Trickiest part for me was setting the timing correctly on the shifter. Once I got a proper manual it was fairly easy.
I just put it back in a few minutes ago getting that timing wasn't too bad. Driveshaft was the trickiest part barely enough room with the winch bracket
Amazing how much damage one tiny little vent line being frayed thru can cause...sorry for your loss
Love all your videos keep up the good work bro love when you pull things apart and show how to fix them
Thank you for this video! The stud removal is key. I had it out in less than 2 hours using a hoist.
great video, very informative. Honda replaced my subtrans at 49 miles under warranty. Low never worked.
Nice, those talons are a great SxS if you take car of them, as of most SxSs
Nice Kubota, I’ve got a MX5000 with front end loader. They are great tractors
Were you able to put it back together I could use some help. I can't figure out how to set the shift gear. Or where can I buy a hole sub trans
The back small shaft behind the sub trans how did you remove it ? I’m now having to remove mine to save cost.
Why would you not drain it before hand? Correctly.
I think I figured out what happen to the Sub transmission breather line it rest up against the radiator hose I think that possibly burnt it up I can’t upload a picture but I just caught mine in time and that’s where it’s rubbing on an can see where it’s starting to melt
If your coolant is hot enough to melt plastic you have a bigger problem... Water boils at 212
@@MudPuppyOffroad gotcha I thought that could of been the issue
Might be a crazy ? But can the vent line handle the heat from the radiator hose just curious
Yes
How do you get the front driveshaft unhooked from the sub-transmission I cannot figure out that snap ring
Yeah it's a pain in the butt it's easier to undo those three 10 mm bolts and leave the back half of the differential in the bike
How you get the drive shaft off of the sub transmission from the rear diff
I remove the rear diff on this one and then popped it off with a pry bar very easily. I don't do that anymore though I generally leave the rear drive shaft in place
If it's stuck on there just use a hammer and chiseled and knock it backwards there's no locking feature or anything
The guy who built your portal brackets, does he sell them regularly or did you just have them made? Work at a dealership and have a few customers asking. Thanks
He makes big batches
Thank you! Does he have a website or phone number?

Hey man is it normal for a brand new Honda talon 1000r to have noise from sun trans when it switches gears in at mode like a clunk sound it’s brand new took on first test run and sound has me concerned
By brand new, what year do you mean? Also, this is a very noisy transmission. Most people here the clutch and the gears swap but that's not in the subtransmission
Sorry had sub trans oil on my mind earlier it’s a brand new 23 1000r 2 seater I bought from Honda dealer this past Saturday was a left over model
building a 350d foreman, 14 in lift an 16 inch stretch. Would you recommend a %76 GR or %115 for 37s-40s?
115
