Great Video. Thank you for uploading. Gerald McNeil and Eric Metcalf are two of my all time favorites. I remember being a kid in the 80’s, at Municipal Stadium, and all of the guys around me shouting “Cube!”! as #89 would wait for the ball to fall into his hands.
Josh Cribbs vs Steelers was the best I've ever seen. He literally was trapped in the corner with about 3 square feet to maneuver and stay in bounds. Houdini.
Yes there where a lot more punt and kick off returns over the yrs. Starting with Leroy Kelly in 65. Then Dino HALL in the 70s .Ice cube inthe 80s . 90s Metcalf . I was at that game there was 2 that game punt and kick off return. Cleveland always had great return men.
They were both punt returns, the first one was a Browns record 91 yards and the second went for 75 yards and clinched the victory over Pittsburgh 28-23
Love the 1986 Ice Cube McNeil 80 yarder in the Dawg Pound against the Lions! I remember Doug Deiken on the radio call saying “T W A”, meaning taking it coast to coast on Trans World Airlines. After he scored and turned towards the Browns sideline special teams assistant coach Bill Cowher was the first one to slap him five!
@@josephhecht6331 maybe not quite as good but solid and dependable my favorite brown of all time is Jerry Sherk , who was a great interior lineman for his time...had 12 sacks one year which not many d-tackles achieved . Vastly underrated and forgotten these days..injuries hit and like many was never the same...anyways..I wish you well
@@ric2097 Thank you, I always love talking about old Browns because there haven't been many to talk about in the last 20+ years. Sherk was indeed a force on the defensive line. There is a video on RUclips of Sherk and Brian Sipe touring Cleveland Stadium one last time before the Browns left... very neat to hear them reminisce about the good ol' days. Best regards to you as well

Yeah! Glad you like it… long live the Cube and Metcalf! Two of the smallest physically, but not in terms of talent

We will get our championship real soon
We need to find another one that can take it coast to coast like these guys did.
Thom Brennaman on the call for Josh Cribbs
A little more enthusiastic than his home run call for Nick Castellanos in Kansas City.

Gotta add Donovan Peoples Jones 12/4/22 vs Houston

Cowher first to congratulate the Ice Cube.
Sure was. Wish he had stayed coaching for the Browns all those years
What ??...no Dino Hall ??
Oh man, there's a name! Dino was the original little guy before the Ice Cube
