What if a person cares about salah, but just finds it incredibly hard to perform it? How can they deal with that? They find that their environment (family) is passive towards salah, and they cannot step out to be in the masjid. What are some ways to perform salah when people around you arent motivators?

Focus on habit building and self awareness towards spirituality and finding the connection with the Almighty than looking for external motivation. External motivation lasts for a short while. If your heart and soul isn't motivated internally it will be difficult for you to follow the path to religion.

alex smith It's not how hard the act is; it is more regarding the internal feeling towards the action; if internally you come to prayer lazy and you cannot wait for it to end that indicates your eemaan is not very high; and vice versa.
KnowIng solution is you if we found these attributes in our self we must repent to Allah from all sins and make a lot good deeds specially last third of the night and ask Allah to wipe our sins and grand us tawfeeq to do good deeds and the last third of the night is the best time to do istigfaar.

The best deeds are those you force your self to do , so how is it that if you find it easy your good and if you find it hard you are sick , I’m lost
