A brief history of a newly-formed wolf pack in Northern Minnesota

- Studying the newly-formed Paradise Pack (named after John Prine's wonderful song) from the day it formed has been a fascinating and satisfying experience for us, largely because intensively studying new packs in densely forested ecosystems, such as the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem, is tough and often impossible. Luckily, with remote video cameras and GPS-collars that take locations every 20 minutes, we have learned a lot about this pack in a short time. We will share more updates about the pack when we get them.
One thing we did not include in this video is the fact that we visit everywhere V077 and V085 spend more than 20 minutes in the same general area. We do this to find where they are making kills and understand their predation behavior. We have been doing this since April and will continue this until the end of October!

Wow the new wolfquest game looks incredible
Lol it does
IKR?? It's so realistic, almost like it's real! 😂😂
Lol this ain’t WolfQuest
@@docterbirb Of course it is. It has exactly 4 pups and includes biting a bear butt.
@@justanmexicanappletun7371 Um, these are real life wolves that are being tracked by the Voyager Researchers. This is not WolfQuest. However, WolfQuest 3 is looking amazing.
I could watch a whole series of these puppers ❤️
I love how downright _fat_ the pups were then, so well fed and cared for! I hope they all made it through their first winter, but everybody knows that Nature can be very unforgiving. Thanks for the video!
Those pups are very quiet!
Awesome story! hope they all make it.
Hoping for a much better mortality rate for the pups you are following this year. Keep up the great videos!
How awesome! Love watching this channel. That bear better run , lol 😂
Fascinating! It's so nice to see this footage, it feels like I'm there, haha.
Also, mainly beaver-eating wolves? How interesting! I wonder how long can they last on beavers before they'll have to find another food source.
pretty sure wolves love beaver tho
I love how there's no dislikes
this comment didn't age well
Thanks miss or mam or mrs
@@davidjohnston7156 got it right the first time!

Fantastic video. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!!
I love this channel
Can you do zoology on wolves and other wild dog species?
Because I thought of doing zoology on wolves and other wild dog species especially the ones who are endangered.
Yep, you can do zoology on any animal!
Loved seeing the parents chase off a bear...❤❤
Aww those pups are so chunky and healthy. Will grow like weeds.
Go get em wolfy!!! Go get the big bad bear!

Packs of wild wolves
When you say that you "know some if not all of these pups are still active" do you mean alive?
Il en manque trois 😢
Viva i lupi sempre
I love wolves but I also love beavers so I'm torn
They stand 4 feet high long legs
We have wolves in Denmark now - although our nature is very poor. But some evil people kill them. I hope they will multiply and one day Ill see one 😀
same for germany! since we have a lot of sheep in our area, the wolves have been killing a lot, it´s like food served on a platter for them. many farmers are angry and / or desperate. the wolves here are proteted by law. i hope we come up with a solution, soon.
@@catsara9114 perhaps you could start making industrial products, instead of hearding sheep! And you could start digitalizing Germany, now that Merkel is gone! It is about time you modernise - your salaries are 1/2 of ours in Denmark!

Why use sound effects? It detracts from an otherwise excellent video and panders to the _______.
Panders to the...??? The what? Why is there just a blank?
They didn't use sound effects, what? You don't find audio of a wolf squeaking that often. That squeak is what they use to tell their pups they have food.
