I was thinking the same thing about trail cams as I was watching. There's so much wildlife activity that we never get a chance to see, but at least we have a small sampling with the cams.
This footage reminds me of our house cat. She had many features similar to this Lynx. She lived 22 years. She was a wonderful pet. We never had a single problem with her. We miss her very much.
Too many wolf packs have destroyed the deer herd. I don’t know if one fawn survived this summer in my immediate area. Haven’t seen one Doe, with her fawns. Only heard the screaming, and having to see piles of wolf excrement in the roads around the lake, full of deer fur and bone chips. 😭The deer, and other animals should be on an endangered list, not the thousands of wolves.
@@cosmicfaiIure You don’t live in Minnesota with THOUSANDS of wolves exterminating the woods, farm stock, and Peoples Pets. The Senator of Wyoming in a conference call with our Congressional Rep and we; his constituents stated there are 35O wolves for Wyoming Utah, and I think it was Montana. She stated, Whoever decided Minnesota needed thousands of wolves? You can come here where I live and pitch a tent this winter. Come join the packs of wolves that are running rampant. I have seen one fawn with a doe, this fall. The rest were piles of sht,fur and bone chips from Spring, on. There is no such word as deers in plural. It’s still deer.
@@ivangranger8494 There are about 3,000 wolves in Minnesota, and there are about a million deer. There are also about half a million hunting licenses issued. The chances that a deer is killed by a wolf is quite small compared to the chance one was killed by a human hunter. Google is your friend.
This is one gorgeous cat! I didn't realize they looked quite so similar and had the short tails like our bobcats here in NJ. I knew that a bobcat was a species of Lynx, without the ear tufts, but I just read that they are about the same size, and the bobcat can actually grow larger than the Canadian Lynx. We see one fairly often on our trail cams (it's a woodsy area) that we think is about 35 pounds. He likes to use a fallen log to cross the stream in the back and actually got chased away by some raccoons a few years ago...
@@jtidema Bobcats vary a lot in size by climate. In the southern part of their range they tend to be lighter and lanky in build and stockier and heavier as the range goes north. While there's a little overlap in range in parts of southern Canada, lynxes do so much better with deep snow they pretty much take over the range in those areas. Lynxes have huge feet that act like snowshoes, and they can tolerate the climate up through the thin forest near the tundra. Bobcats are usually found only in the southernmost parts of Canada
Oh, how beautiful! I'm in awe... this creature is so well designed. No wonder people love cats. Dogs are lovely too in their way, but they can never come close to this grace. This kind of lynx is even more beautiful than our swedish ones.
No body! Maybe a spirit, like a forest spirit that's cool and chill and imbues the creatures with magical essence to bolster their relationship with nature
Camouflage and a thick fur coat built for hunting and weather. Big feet for moving over snow. But some how life still finds a way to add a bit of style with the black tips and fancy mane. So cool.
Lynx are special creatures in my view. I am disappointed in Marty from that Alaska Tv Show where he was a fly in trapper and he was so excited when his traps got a Lynx. Not for food but for the pelt. Disgusting.
Looks like it’ll tear your scalp off with one swipe. At the same time, those paws when it walks 😂. It’s like someone should be singing “doot doot doooo.”
Wow. That is one impressive and intimidating putty cat. I live in Minnesota, and this is one great reason to be very careful when wandering in the forest. Thank you for sharing this. I really enjoyed it.
They do not attack people unless they are cornered or you come between the mother and her kittens. They are not cougars you know. Much smaller/lighter and a grown-up person can fend them off without being killed. I live in Sweden where there are plenty of Lynx and you should be so lucky if you ever saw one in the wild. They shun people although they can live quite close by but you will not see or hear them. I have never felt threatened by them when wandering in the forests. Bears, on the other hand, can be dangerous to encounter.
They're really not dangerous because they avoid us, they know better. In the part of Switzerland where I live, the population is reportedly healthy and steadily growing because of the plentiful fox population they prey on and despite spending a lot of time in the woods, I've never seen one, I might have heard them muttering in the brush like this one in the video at the beginning, though. 😅 They see us, but they can stay hidden with ease. But I know people who were lucky enough to cross path with them and they say its a beautiful moment because they do look like some mythical creature. 😊
@mariah8007. I am well aware that they avoid humans and I did not confuse them with another species of big cat. I wouldn’t want to encounter one in the wild because if I did, then that would mean that I have encroached on their territory. Here in America they are running out of habitat. Thank you for sharing your experience in Sweden. Your country is beautiful. I was fortunate enough to visit your country when I lived in Darmstadt, Germany many years ago. 💗
Beautiful! May this gorgeous creature live a long, healthy life.
What wonderful amazing critters ♥️
My thoughts exactly!
Its health and success will depend 100% on there being an abundance of good food sources.

It is majestic, unfortunately it also looks superimposed or AI. How does the lynx not leave any tracks or paw prints? 😎
Absolutely stunning footage and thank you for not adding any music, just allowing the peaceful sounds of nature.
ABSOLUTELY AGREE 100% LOVE JUST THE LYNX & SOUNDS OF NATURE! GLAD IT WASN'T RUINED BY MUSIC TOO! 😁😍😇
I love how they are built like a jacked up race car, with the back legs longer than the front. Built for speed!
It's for jumping.
The reason race cars have larger back tires is for grip, not speed.

Trail cams are a wonderful invention. I once lived in an area with lynx for 5 years and never saw anything but tracks.
Every time I put up trail cams only naked girls appear on film. What a waste of time
With trail cams it’s only a matter of time before we see Bigfoot
