  • Iran became Republic during the Islamic revolution that saw millions leave homes.
We present here the survey conducted by The Group for Analyzing and Measuring Attitudes in Iran (GAMAAN) from Netherlands (2022), and TMC survey conducted among Iranian Diaspora in 2023.

👑The Monarchist Channel is exploring the history of monarchies as well as status of monarchism in the World today.
This is a pan-monarchist channel, which means it does not focus on one country or one royal family or one monarchial tradition alone but on the world-wide monarchist cause.
On this channel we will refrain from taking sides in major dynastic disputes, because the hope is to unite monarchists rather than divide them. In France, for example, the monarchist cause has long been bitterly divided between the supporters of the “Legitimists”, “Orleanists” and “Bonapartists”. We don't do that here.
I also invite non-monarchists for a healthy and open-minded debate.
Enjoy the channel and I look forward to speaking to you in the comment section!

The biggest problem is that US officials do not support the monarchy at all. They have tolerated it when monarchies are allies to them, but US political ideology in general is strictly against monarchism. Because of this, Afghanistan, despite having the best political chance of becoming a monarchy after the fall of the Taliban, was pushed into republican nonsense with zero effect, and this was a nice example of how US politics is done. And it's the same with Iran, if the US was interested, it would have pushed for this alternative long ago with its enormous influence in the media and money

I think Reza Pahlavi (the current one) is a really interesting and impressive leader of the opposition to the regime and his consistent push and commitment for a democratic and secular iran is quite commendable.

some pro-monarchy slogans between revolutionaries of Iran: A kingless country is a stateless country (Mamlekat ke shah nadare hesab ketab ham nadare), eternal shah (Javid shah), who is the leader of the public? is Shah Reza Pahlavi (Rahbare Jomle kie? shah Reza Pahlavie), king king eternal king Iran means Emperor (Shah shah Javid shah Iran yani Shahanshah). god bless you Reza shah (this one is the founder of Pahlavi because in Persian blessing usually use for the dead)

Iranian monarchy would have to be constitutional, effectively constituting a monarchical republic. The People must be inviolably enfranchised as co-sovereign with the Shah. Residents would enact Constitutionally-limited legislation in the majles of each block, street, township, county and province and rotate as the magistrate and the first and second submagistrates of each, representing the immediate constituent majles in the next higher one.

I do believe that a secular, democratic parliamentary constitutional monarchy, similar to the ones in Scandinavia, Britain and the BeNeLux, is the best path forward for Iran.
Combine the rich history of Iran's past embodied in the monarchy, with the will of the iranian people and rights and freedoms embodied in democratic parliamentary constitutionalism.

I did go to Iranian schools you cannot believe almost every kid is called the name Pahlavi crown prince (there are other crown princes like Arsalan Mirza Qajar and Azarmidokht Sassanid too) in fact an important thing is to know that most Republicans did born in 1950 to 1970s that is why almost every revolutionary and fighter is monarchist young like Majid Reza Rahnavard and Nika Shahkarami which both executed.

I think the survey doesn’t really cover the true feelings of Iranian people especially now in 2024, in rural areas Pahlavi has become very popular and with social media monarchism has become absolutely huge within young people, in Iran it’s the young people today leading the monarchist cause I think out of every system it’s the monarchist who have the safest chance of taking root, Javid Shah! ❤👑

It probably is hard for people to answer these polls in totalitarian regimes. True.
Which might be the reason for very high “unsure” responses (22%).
Not to mention being conducted without any campaign for monarchy, while there is active anti monarchy rhetoric

thank you for your video but this survey is wrong, if you go to Iran every where except some provinces like Baluchistan you would see monarchy support I remember when Gaman did it's work people were furious and all said leftists and westerners are mis-representing Iran again. there are other surveys too and they show just inside the country the number for monarchy is 72 to 80%.

Do not restore the monarchy! We should restore Iran to the Mosaddegh era, when Iran was actually a democracy. Would you like to know why that failed and the Ayatollahs took power? Because the US and the Shah killed Iranian democracy in 1953! And let the Iranian people decide for themselves who will govern them.
