I wasn’t old enough to have a MySpace in the mid-late 2000’s but I vividly remember “Core” music becoming really popular at the time, idk how I recall that lmao but I do. I wish I could have been born a little earlier so I could’ve experienced this era.
Same here man, I'm 23 and core era music is quickly becoming my favorite genre. I have fleeting memories of my older relatives playing heavy stuff and myspace; genre is completely dead now and It just seems that all the best music came from late 2000s /early 2010s.
Saw them love at knitting factory here in NYC back in like 2007. Great times. Going to shows was part of my upbringing, it was a second home for me and my friends. A group of kids from the Bronx escaping their own troubles to have a good time along with others to enjoy these hands pour their gets out live. I'll forever carry those memories.
Dirt Fest. Birch Run, MI, 2007.. I walked in the gates after an hour and a half of waiting in line (sleep deprived like a mf cuz i was so excited) and as I'm getting cleared inside the gates I suddenly saw and heard these motherfuckers going NUTS right at the first stage by the gates & parking lot. I ran right up and starting moshing like I had a minute left to live. Fight almost broke out between me and 4 other dudes, and I almost got kicked out right after finally getting in, but everyone broke it up. and then Chad said a speech afterwards: "hey listen up, cut the fighting bullshit. Yo I don't give a fuck if you are straightedge, or if you got a beer in your hand, and i dont give a fuck if you got a weed plant on your shirt.. if you're really about this shit.. LOOK ALIVE MOTHER FUCKERS!" Right then, all the beef was squashed while we went fucking crazy. I will never forget this day 🖤🔥💪🏼
Got to party with these guys back in 2011. It was Dylan’s birthday but he’d just had surgery, and now that I look back, I feel bad he got drug out to party after the show that night. 🤣
