Almost every song has a line or phrase that hints at a religious or spiritual background. They sound like they took bluegrass, slowed it down, mixed up the music and fleshed out these awesome sou ds. They are MUSIC to my ears. They are so precise and deliberate with the instrumentation. Vocals, and lyrics. They once had some fans complain because their music sounded too polished, not as grungy as their early days. I love their stuff. I saw a country crossroads video of them performing with Randy Travis .......blew me away. Hard to describe how well Randys voice mixes with theirs.
