Got really shocked when heard from the mimbar during jumuaah asking to follow ash'ari maturia and another masjid asking to follow ash'ria sufi frm the mimbar in Perak..didnt know that Malaysian following those.....الله المستعان..
Yup, these sufis unfortunately has usurped the higher ranked officers in the religious department of almost every states, some even into the royal family. Only Perlis is very clear on these matter. But if you ask the layman Muslims in Malaysia they don't really understand what the ashaaris creed really are about. We've only be fed on 'Allah is everywhere' or 'Allah doesn't related to a place' kinds of teachings all these years that when a salafi speaker said something different to local customs, he will be branded with the big W names.
