@@Messup7654 it’s not OP. Every time a big change comes ppl scream OP like you are and it never ends up being OP. In the case you don’t get headshot, Doc is going to have to be in range of the downed teammate, take his dart gun out (leaving him vulnerable), and be able to see his downed teammate to heal him. He only has 3 darts, so healing a teammate that’s only taken a small bit of damage is going to be a game time decision. Thunderbird will still probably get picked more often because of unlimited heals, C4, and 3 speed.
If you have rook armor and you go down because of bullets you'll do an animation of pulling out some bullets instead of the chest bumps.

@@CoconutBrah what makes someone go down and not just killed? I always kill them which is kinda annoying because sometimes I like to taunt downed enemies.
These changes are so good and make alot of sense. Defenders have been getting pounded recently with reworks and nerfs that took away alot of defensive utility (like shields, scopes and more) so seeing Rook and Doc get some love feels nice. You still give up alot when running one of them so the tradeoff is also really cool.
dude I've started to hate defending ever since they added the thing where you can change the attacker while in prep phase

@@yungbosa Problem with that is your utility would disappear whether you placed it or not. And this would lead to people not setting up site or just not moving during the prep phase. I do think they should implement it but maybe it should be like a more exclusive version of the sixth pick phase.

Like we've seen in the past, changes that seem huge at first end up not changing the meta all that much. I predict this will also be the case here.
I won't say this will change the meta either...but definitely improves doc and rook pick rate

absolutely not, rook pickrate skyrocketed, they also added the extended barrel to his mp5, wich made the weapon even better with the 2X, he is a spawnpeak monster now

With Doc he
1. Needs to be alive
2. Needs to be within sightlines of the wounded teammates
3. Need to aim the stim
4. Stim takes time to pull out and put away, leaving you vulnerable
When you consider all this, the buff to differentiate itself from Thunderbird makes a lot of sense as none of these weaknesses apply to her at the cost of a worse heal. W change

Honestly its a fair buff for doc consider this, you have thunderbird who can constantly regenerate heals where doc is limited. it makes sense for doc to do a full heal considering he only has 3 stims.

165 hp mfs when me and my friend absolutely shred them with a pump action
165 hp mf when they see a breach charge next to them
165hp is such a non issue, a 3 speed running will dodge at least 100hp worth of bullets, your basically using multiple resources to match a 3 speed in one area

I just got back into siege recently and I really enjoy playing doc and rook because they're simple and can add value to a team with minimal effort. Now with the buffs, they're actually viable
To put it in perspective, being an attacker just got 99% harder

Bringing Rook and Doc back into play, I like it. These new updates for them will actually make sense, right now Doc is the only one that is still decent enough to use for revives and heals but Rook doesn't really have much potential currently.

The chest pounding animation is only if they get downed by something that isn’t bullets. If they get shot and go down there is a second animation where they pull bullets off of their armor and get up.

I never used rook before the update because nobody was using him. Used him after the buff and became my main instantly
Note: if you get shot to be DBNO, you won't pound your chest but will throw bullets out of your chest
Thats a good change for doc. I've always felt he got overshadowed by thunderbird
I preferred the other revive animation where he flicked bullets out of the armour but this one makes more sense if you’re downed by anything like fall damage
rook armor has 2 animations, the chest pounding one that plays if you got downed by explosives, fall damage or other kinds of damage like lasers and such, and another one picking and throwing some bullets if you got downed by getting shot
Rainbow Six has come a long way since I have played it. The loadouts seem to change every now and then, functional reworks and graphical redesigns of HUD's. I must say that R6 is one of the most strongly updated multiplayer games.
Finally. The real Operation Health.
The chest pumping animation is only if you get downed by anything that isn't bullets.

Rook revive animation depends on how he was downed, if it was explosion or fall dmg he will hit himself twice in chest, but when its a gun he will throw two bullets out of his armor.

rooks armour reacts differently depending on what DMG downs you. if it's explosives or fall DMG he will hit his chest and get up but if shot he will pull the bullets out iirc
It would make doc broke if they all didn’t get dunked on within the first couple of seconds trying to spawn peak.
I stopped playing R6S in 2019, just wasn’t liking how competitive Ubi was trying to make it. Good to see it’s still going, and good to see my first main Room is finally getting a buff to his armor again.
My and my bestfriend have this thing in 2v2's we run the "brothers" we call them the bruddas. We are on a streak of like 45-7. This is gonna make us never lose when this update releases
Instead of ALL OF THIS, they could have given him a 2.0x or even an acog
If your shot and you start to revive you pull the bullets out… if you take any other damage (falling, explosion, etc.) you pound your chest… both revives are the exact same length!

We "might" be getting some of these, they also tested reinforced roof hatches once but that never happened
I'm pretty sure normally you'll pull bullets out ur vest since u won't normally go down to fall damage.
Well I already play Doc casually (especially with the shotgun), so this will be very fun.

@@Gluragedon he means like getting good with his gun and playing a health role where u can either get agro or play an anchor for the team and help heal them up or roam with a teammate to keep them up and help take out anyone u come across for sure. I’ve started trying to play doc, and tbh I’m gold and my aim is pretty shit recently and idk why so I’ve kinda moved to anchoring more so doc has been kinda good but his stims still suck as of now, that’s why I prefer thunderbird🤷🏼♂️he can be kinda versatile

nice! i once saw these changes some time ago..i only heard about the rook revive and i find its well balanced, as you could have a friend refrag will the ennemy approaches while you tap your armor and you can even release the trigger so you can legit be harambe or king kong

Honestly... this is good very good cause doc was made obsolete after Thunderbird but now there's a reason to have a good doc instead of just any Thunderbird and rook armor instead of giving you a little extra health which is usually useless will now have a chance to actually save the game and it's been balanced with a loud audio queue and fairly slow revive

Rook armor is the perfect buff. Not too broken or weak
