Bloodborne, but using a Gun in place of a Melee Weapon

- How to beat bloodborne if you can only have guns equipped in your weapon slots. Instead of using a melee weapon paired with a gun, we're leaving out that right handed melee weapon. Meaning damage can only come from gunshots, flamesprayer/rosmarinus or non-weapon related damage like from molotovs, poison knives and visceral attacks.

I only fought against Amilia with the flamesprayer with an Arcane build. I stunlocked her for the whole fight by breaking her limbs. Just focus on the limbs like you would do it with a melee weapon. I did it with an early arcane build.

25:25 It's kind of scary how realistic this battle became.
1. Real human would 99% use flamethrower against big ass demon wolf (also known as Vicar Amelia).
2. For a beast this size the damage dealt seems realistic (or at least more realistic than doing absurd damage with saw and none with gun).
3. The time it takes to kill her feels acurate considering fur that can protect her and her size. I don't think she even realized she was dead near end (at the end of the fight she was probably well cooked).
4. Her screams make sense now. She suffers from being burnt but still fights on animal instinct.
5. Even the way she falls down as she dies seems acurate. When in high temperature at some point the body just gives up.

Also this might be helpful: after iosefka gets replace, the impostor rewards you with insight and other useful rare stuff every time you send someone over to clinic. You could've taken great advantage of that
In contrast, having Adella go to the church for her blood means you can blood bullet an regen the health for free, and send Arianna to the fake for the pretty princess shoes
Tried that one playthrough, insight is already plentiful unless you’re using it on blood chunks/rocks and by that point you want less insight, not more, and blue elixirs aren’t really worth it outside the Research Hall. You can get some pellets out of it by sending the beggar but if you want those send him to the chapel instead. There’s also some low tier runes from the celestial emissaries in there but by that point you definitely have better
FYI, you can get a +9 weapon before Shadows if you grab all the available chunks up to that point (including DLC).
Possible yes, but that's quite a hassle as you need to get the chunks from both the DLC, including the cave with the Gatling hunter and BSB, and from the nightmare frontier. So it's possible but not advisable.
Fun fact, there is a chalice glyph with a reverse false depth that has some of the easiest bosses that have a very high chance of dropping chunks so it's super easy to farm after BSB, and since you can get twin shards from hyporean gaol after amelia, you can get a +9 wep after amelia xD tho it makes the game stupid easy (bej77ini is the mentioned glyph)

The mgs music is actually a bit of a returning theme that goes all the way back to my very first walkthrough on the channel. Its appropriate whenever some sneaking needs to be done :)

Obviously. If the hitbox is small enough that you can get through it within the timeframe of your active I-frames, in principle any attack can be dodged through.

Very entertaining and funny thanks :) I've done a similar playthrough but also went into the FRC Isz chalice to get the +31% bloodtinge gem. Gun only is surprisingly powerful and fun once you've levelled up a bit.
One tip I heard for a gun only run is to arrive at the hunters dream with 0 qs bullets. When you grab a gun you get 10. Then you grab the pile of 10 near the beginning and you'll have 20. If you grab the pile of 10 at the beginning then the gun you grab in the hunters dream will not give you any for free.

This was a really fun video, tbh, and I'm surprised how low attention you've got (RUclips algorithm sucks, apparently, cause I've been a Bloodborne fan for quite some time and RUclips never decided it'd be a good idea to recommend your channel). Many of the starts you mentioned here will actually work fantastically even in a casual normal playthrough, which is why the video is so fantastic.

Just a note, Kos does his lightning attack if you get close to his mother and you can actually avoid it just fine while on the island if you run to the boss door. It doesn’t reach there. I do have my own fight against him uploaded and you can see I never get hit by it there 👍

Something i noticed recently about the Evelyn: it's a flintlock with no flint in the hammer and shouldn't be able to fire. Also the hammer is down and the pan is open at all times. Struck me as weird considering how FromSoft usually is about minute details
Also, you can tell that it's specifically a bespoke left handed gun, as the hammer is on the left side from the shooter's perspective. The repeating pistol also has its wheel on the left side, marking it as a lefty gun as well, and I haven't checked the other guns in the game but i suspect they're the same for the ones with sidelock actions. Thought that was neat since it shows that hunters have been doing the off hand gun thing for a long time, as the Evelyn is noted to be a pretty old gun by the time the player finds it. That's the level of worldbuilding detail i love to see from FromSoft
Now if only someone could tell me wtf is up with the piercing rifle. I always thought it had some kind of big rocket spear or something sticking out of it like an RPG, but that's actually some kind of flanges or lugs on the barrel (you can see the muzzle at the end, the "point" of the "rocket"), and I can't figure out what they're supposed to be for. Or how the hell the thing even works, as it has no apparent trigger or action
gonna go out on a limb and say fromsoft are pretty horrific with their weapon details lol, if you need any proof of that then the estoc is a sword with no edge that literally cannot cut whereas almost all rapiers could cut, but in dark souls the estoc is the only thrusting sword with cutting attacks. but i'll defend them here coz it's pretty clear these guns don't work 'normally', i mean you don't even reload it at any point it's just a magic blasting stick, and you can replenish your ammo infinitely by stabbing yourself
Tried this one out and it was really fun. I did make one tweak that unbalanced things a good bit. I kept my health at the starting level combined with a right hand weapon with regen gems. I only ever attacked with the gun, though. Basically infinite bullets, but I always get one-shotted. Still rather nice, only needed a proper melee weapon for the deepest chalices.
Edit: Maria was still the hardest for me, but his strategy worked best for the first phase. Once she gets the blood out, parries aren't viable but raw damage works wonders.

Gascoine and Cleric beast are pretty well thought out first bosses. Big stompy thing with the stagger/damaged limb mechanic. Gascoigne for learning the mechanics and timing windows for parrying. Both set a decent expectation for the general flow of combat to follow.

Absolutely solid... I must suck at bloodborne now. Attempted this run today, I can't beat bloodstarved beast. Everytime I run out of antidote I restart because the poison dmg is insane. I'll be back tomorrow... Start over.... This time bloodstarved beast is mine.

Yo bro with bsb make sure you upload save file before the boss fight in case you die and run out of bullet, vials and blood cocktails try to go for pairies even tho it sounds like a joke I know it. Then 3d phase start using your cock tails and blast away. I did it a few days ago and put some content on my youtube you can watch it if you like

Gun as primary weapon really shines when you don’t limit yourself to only that but also embrace using a melee weapon as supplementary damage and for attacks of opportunity. Or even just have a tricked threaded cane out to significantly increase visceral damage.
You do know about Madman's Knowledge, right? There's one up the long ladder near the entry way to the pig. In the middle of the crows. Madman's Knowledge, then back to the Hunter's Dream.

I have very little experience with pvp. I'd think that if you mainly use a gun against another player, you would get chances to do visceral attacks. So I'd say level up skill and have clawmark runes equiped. And of course vitality wouldn't hurt.

while i was doing this, i always just stocked up on blood vials, since with blood bullets you get 5 per vial. that's a hundred bullets for you to use, which leaves plenty to spare as long as you don't mess up too often.
