This was so fun and a great reminder that going to antique markets can be as much about learning as it is about buying. Have to say that giant wire alligator caught my attention at the beginning!😅 So many beautiful things❤
Wow, so many amazing things to see! Thank you for taking your time and showing us so many vendor tables. It’s so fun to live vicariously through y’all!! 😊
Thank you so much for this long video. I don’t get to travel at this point in my life so I truly enjoy doing so thru you. Have a great weekend. (Loved all the Bakelite!)
1. If i didn't have ADD before the video, i do now. 2. Im drooling over here and would definitely have an issue. 3. Do you set a limit on how much you are going to spend? 4 Does bakelite come in colors outside the amber/green/reds ? I've never seen blue or pastels.
3. It depends and 4. Bakelite comes in a range of colors, I have seen dark blue and root beer colors. Kate @followthatbugvintage has opened up a whole new world of how amazing bakelite is to me.
I don’t know Dagny, I think you really missed out not buying the mannequin butt…lol! That place was awesome…oh my gosh all the Bakelite! I would’ve been just like Kate…so anxious it would’ve been hard to decide what to buy and what to leave behind! Thanks for sharing! Aka~Blackcatthrifts 🧡🐈⬛🧡
You can rub it vigorously and smell it for a formaldehyde scent but I can't smell it. The easiest and sure thing for me is to use 409. You can also use Simichrome as well.
Dagny, I was so disappointed when I (FINALLY) was able to get down to Mt Dora, from Jacksonville on Saturday, only to find out from George that because all of you guys knew that it was supposed to rain all day, that you all decided not to brave the rain and shop in doors. It wasn't a total flop, though, as I was able to meet George. I was also able to find several things that I wanted. But, nonetheless, I really wanted to meet you, Jocelyn, Kate, and so many others. I guess that I probably should have made the decision to go either a day earlier or a day later. After slipping and sliding around on the wet grass, without my rollator because it lost a screw/bolt, I braved the weather and really didn't show anything other than my hard-headed determination and walked around for 4 hours, that I knew that I would be sore, and I knew that it would be worth everything in the world to me. Until I woke up on Sunday and my hip was dislocated. I broke it back in October, but I had no idea that this would happen. 😮 Maybe next year!
Hope all is well with you. I enjoyed the video, but I agree with one of your other followers. We no longer see a segment where you show us what you actually bought. We also are not seeing your cart to see what you are picking up as you thrift. Why the changes? Happy thrifting. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Did you get a gander at the price of the items today ? This was more antique/vintage mart prices. I wouldn't have bought many items either unless I found a grail item ( something I have been hunting forever for and don't care about prices)
Love this trip around the treasures 😊❤
WOW you ladies go to the greatest places what fun🎉
That acrylic art work with the bangles is very cool. You and Jenny should try making something, maybe a cool igloo with penguins!?
Great idea!!🐷

There were lots of beautiful things. It is difficult not to want to buy everything. 😄❣️
So true!
You must have visited on Friday as Saturday and Sunday were a wash with all of the rain. 😞
I have the glass penguin with the little ones inside. My daughters bought it for me years ago in San Francisco
Such cool things to see! Everything you panned over was wonderful to look at! Must of been a fun experience ❤
It was!
Great finds and items. Jenny was a trooper. My son would never last.
That lady vendor knew so much history on bakelite. Thanks for recording it.
You bet! 💚🐷

Dagney, I have been curious about your bakelite hack with 409. Do you know of any other thing that would work?
You can rub it vigorously and smell it for a formaldehyde scent but I can't smell it. The easiest and sure thing for me is to use 409. You can also use Simichrome as well.
@@FlyingPigThrifts , thanks so much, Dagney!!

I live 40 minute from the flea market
Hello from Mexico 👋
Did you go to Webster flea market
I don't think so 🐷
So the woman who doesn't like to touch toothbrush holders runs her fingers over what looks like real teeth! LOL. Dagny what were you thinking?!?

I agree.
I mostly do that at Goodwill's 🐷
Kate...I know your voice...arm...bracelets...vans... tatoos...wow reading this back I sound like a STALKER...lol
Legit Mary was probably 14 or 15 when she had Jesus.
I love watching shopping videos from several channels and the only thing that bothers me with yours is that you never seem to actually buy anything.
You mustn't watch the vidoes much because dagney buys lots
I agree with you.
Sometimes she just takes us along to see different things . Takes us to places we might not get to go to.
