Galaxy Note 20: Forgot Password? Let's Factory Reset (Hard Reset Bypass Password)

- If you forgot your password (PIN, Swipe, etc) on Samsung Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra and you cannot preform a factory reset cause you need to first turn off your phone but it ask for a password that you forgot or doesn't work then watch this video very closely on how to bypass this password to turn off your phone. Remember with a factory reset you will lose all personal data so hopefully you already backed up. Hope this helps.

Do you lose text messages also? I need them as evidence and it's my google/google1 account hacked I pay for and can't stop them which carried over to 3 phones as I use androids as my computer. Samsung note 20 google pixel 4 and Samsung a70. I'm not tech savvy and changing passwords on every acct multiple times isn't stopping them. Paid norton 360 still shows my phones hacked as my accounts. Calls not always coming in data being stolen, over 400gb.

It didn't work and I'm stuck in select boot mode... recovery mode]... fastboot mode]... normal boot]... when I select recovery mode nothing happens then I tried to power off the phone it wouldn't power off it's stuck in select boot mode any suggestions please help

@@lastofmykind8 the last option for me is to bring the device to a Samsung Service Center. They were able to bypass the lock code.

We were able to do it at the second try, but still haven’t figured how my wife’s password was changed she said her note 20 ultra had like a network update and the phone restarted and she tried to put her password because it asked for it and her password was not her password anymore!!!!! Wthhhh so we had to factory reset it and she lost everything but thank you so much because that’s better than buying a new phone!!!
How to bypass the pin or Google account
Is there anyway of doing this without reseting the entire phone since I need the files on my phone and i wasn’t able to back up my phone also remote recovery one isn’t turned on.

Thank you!, It did take several tries, but mainly because my phone was cracked and I could not access the lower half of the screen. After almost breaking my index finger pressing, this morning it finally worked now I can send back the damaged phone. Again thank you, I was beginning to think you had no idea what you were doing but alas you totally did!!!!!

I know this comment is from two years ago but are you saying after you did a factory reset it was still asking for your swipe code instead of letting you log in with your Gmail???
@aquaflux_ Mines doing the same exact thing. Got locked out of the email when a former friend thought it would be funny to change the password then promptly got himself arrested. No clue what the password is so I'm kinda fucked lmao
Havent owned an android phone since the note 2...first week with the 20 ultra and i lock my self out of it. Luckily i didnt have anything on it yet so this came in extremely helpful...specially after I spent 3 hours trying different methods.
When I do this the phone just reboots, it doesn't give me options :'

Worked for me just when USB cable was attached, othervise no way. It was connected to laptop USB port, no need for charger
Nice! I got it on my second try, the first time I had only pressed the power up button instead of holding it there until I got the Samsung screen. The phone is back too its original setting so this definitely worked. Very thankful for people like you that post informational videos about everyday issues. It's nice to know I can look up how to rebuild an engine, with the right tools and common sense I'd probably be able to do it lol.

I did this too. I did not reset the password but the update ucked it up, I have to erase the phone then sign in the samsung account or google account. the phone let me in and change the password. I trade the phone in for the new phone. it got lost all the picture any way.
What if I was able to reset it but afterwards when I started the whole set up process it says “please draw code phone was attempted to reset” something like that

God, I was pulling my hair out. After the recent updates, in order to boot into recovery mode, you need to connect your phone to the laptop, using Type-C cable and then just repeat steps shown in the video. You should be able to use any Type-C device, but when I tried to use the bundled Type-C earphones I was not able to. So, for the best results connect the smartphone to the computer (or maybe even try connect to another smartphone using Type-C cable) and follow the instructions.
This was extremely helpful, thank you so much, it didn’t work without connecting the cable to my computer.
Thank god for this comment. I was pulling my hair out trying to do as the video described, yet my Note 10+ refuses to boot up to the factory reset page! Tried it a few times, just didn't work! Only finally worked after I connected my phone to the laptop and did all the steps in the video all over again.

This is a nightmare for me so far. For some reason my phone is in flight mode.. Not sure if that has any impact on this process. I've followed your instructions to a T, but the phone simply restarts. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. After restarting and the logo appearing I release both buttons.. but instead of all that Android stuff coming up, the "SAMSUNG" word logo comes up and then simply restarts the phone. I'm using a swipe passcode that I can't remember if that makes any difference. Any thoughts?
I had the same Problem, also in flight mode and no passwords known. You have to connect the phone with usb-c to a PC and then it will work for sure. The connection to the PC lets the phone shutdown whiteout entering any code, so the hard reset process will not be interrupted. good luck

@@jimmyagi6980 I had the same issue tried resetting and the phone just kept on restarting. Connected my phone to my laptop with a USB cable did the first part volume down and power and the phone turned off. Then I let go off all buttons and phone was off. Then did the hard reset and phone is reset. Thanks so much for this!!!! You made my day!!
