Thank you, really useful video. I used to do all my own car maintenance and repairs but have had company cars for years and had lost the confidence to do my own work. My Peugeot 206 1.1 showed the engine check light and ran really badly so there was obviously something wrong. I bought a £20 standalone code reader and it had P0204, indicating Injector 4 faulty. DId a little bit of reading, watched a few videos (this one was definitely the most useful) and decided to have a go myself, stripped it down and tested the injectors one at a time, 4 was open circuit. Bought a new one from a motor factor for £17, fitted it and put it all back together. This video really helped and especially showing how the fuel rail connector sits. I wasn't sure if it was fully seated when I reassembled it all, it took a lot more force to get it to click back over the barb than I expected. Cleared the codes, started it up, watched carefully for leaks (tip, coloured paper towel is *really* useful for showing up leaks, it changes colour when it gets fuel, water, oil etc. on it) and now my old banger car is running as well as it ever did.

Left it overnight and the next morning the light went out and car drove perfectly. Still going to strip out the injectors to double check them as the exhaust does smell a bit rich and fuel economy has dropped from 47mpg to 41 mpg on a run.
Hello. I have a peugeot like yours and mine is idling rough when the engine is warm. Could the injectors be the problem? It goes from 500-600 to 1200 and then back down to 600RPM when idling but after some time it stabilises. Thanks.
My 307sw 2,0 starts misfiring when it reaches operating temperature 90 degress works perfectly when it's cool, think there is a fault with some fuel injector will short circuit when it gets hot...
I’ve erased my codes four times in the last two weeks, just to see if it was a typical fault with the ecu throwing up codes when cold. It said that different injectors were faulty - do you think this could have been caused by injector fault or something more?

Hi, I think it is ok ,the coil resistance could be a bit different depending on temperature. More important all injector coils should be similar. Depends what problem you have check spark plugs, swap ignition coil, check injector block after dirty fuel, check engine compression, check injector power and grounds. Check fuel filter....
hi master...thank you for this video...i need your help: i have a pegueot 206 sw 2004...i suffered for a long time with this car...the car shuts off while driving... I changed the spark plugs... they are new... the coil is new... the belt buzzer box no longer has acoustics... the anti-theft even though it is turned on, the locking pins do not go down ...don't know what to do with? My citroen c3 1.4i started to work like that peugeot on your clip and computer showed that injector 4 is not working properly. I put cleaning additive for injectors in my tank and drove for few days but it was just getting worse and worse. Today i arranged ultrasound cleaning of injectors for tomorrow but today when gas tank with additive was gone i filled it with new petrol without additive and car just started working normal and for more than 100 km that i passed tonight it was working perfect. Do you think that additive could be a trigger for increased symptoms of clogged injector or it was just coincidence and i should do that ultrasound cleaning anyways. Hi :) sometimes additives can cause more problems, they like to mix with dirt in tank making things worst... anyway its a good idea to check injectors coils, and You can check coil pack coz sometimes can mess with injectors. Anyway If money is not an issue sure You can clean injectors and if after You will have prolems its worth to check rest of the things I was talking about :) And first cylinder is from the gearbox in Your car. Thank you very much. I think it could be additive because when i had to go over that speed bumpers it would always clog again, just like it picks some dirt from bottom of the tank. I will try driving it in city conditions now and see if it will clog again and then go to check coil that you suggested, Thank you again for your time and advice. Cheers!
Ok i'm about to attempt this job, but i am confused as the diagnostics said it was the 2nd injector but when testing with the multi meter it appeared to be injector 1 which was faulty? i haven't got a multimeter but the diagnostics said it was the 4th injector. any help clearing this up would be awesome.
Scott Hinchliffe very often Ignition coil interferes with the work of the injectors and she generates an error injector switch it with another car, next, do not trust 100% diagnostics, check who injector has a different Resistance and replaced it.
Madfox, im getting a permanent misfire error on cylinder 1 from Lexia diagnostics (diagbox) changed coilpack and plugs still the same. Im getting Ohm reading of around 13 on all of the injectors. Any ideas? cheers.

Tony Kolesides Hi, according to PSA groups in this engine for electronics components 1th cylinder is from gearbox side , be ready to exchange more than one injector, coz the resistance varies under the influence of temperature.
Thank you for your quick reply! Yes I realized that when they all returned 12.6 ohms, though at first the scan tool showed #1 to be the culprit. After I cleaned them and put them back in random order I erased the code and when for a test ride, when the car warmed up the CEL came back but this time the scan tool showed #3.. I'll replace that one first and will see if I got the right one!
Hi after replacement I've got this code (P0440 powertrain evaporative emission control system) now I check all the cables I disconnected and fule and air all reseated but unable to clear this code thx

Galaxy 61 yep looks good, be careful you will work with gasoline, any leak can cause a fire . To measure the resistance of injectors you do not have to pull them out of the car. Remove the ignition coil, unplug the electrical connector from the injectors & take measurements ;)

Andy OG hi 2.2 it is high, but do you have any engine errors or misfires ? If not recommend check idle stepper motor .
I didnt put it on tester but no check engine light. The car is ok now after injector no 4 replaced

Yes, you're on good way, problem was in coil injectors.
Do you think it's possible to measure the resistance without taking them out? Disconnecting only the plugs?

@@rinhardkaraj9412 its the throttle body sensors, you have behind it two sensors, replace then for oem ones. I had this problem as well.

hi, the problem is in the injector coil not in its dirt, measure the resistance of the injector coil, there you will find the answer I hope :)
