These vehicles the late 1950’s dodge line ( including the custom royal) featured push button drive, with an amazing transmission to back it up, the front suspension ( which gave excellent ride, and road handling) was torsion bar suspension. The back features leaf springs, which supplied excellent low vibration driveline stability and ride. Not only was this car fast, it’s stability was a cut above the high centred unstable SUV’s of today!
I LOVE the styling of the 1959 Dodge and the 1956 Lincoln Premier. The gold Premier that was first featured in this video was definitely not stock, however they did give it Thunderbird-like tail lights, which were stunning. And I agree with the other commentators; I don't want to hear an AI-generated narration. Would rather hear a human.
Not one word about other rarities: '53 Corvette Nomad wagon, only 6 were made. 48 tucker, 58 were made... 63 Avanti, 4600 made... I could go on!! says a retired Master Goodwrench
AI makes too many mistakes and is too repetitive. Ripping off car show footage from the internet by people that know little about what they produce is just an insult to those owners. Hopefully someday RUclips can at least label these fake channels for what they are.
The really sad part is the stupid AI doesn't even realize it is showing images of highly modified cars that don't look anything like the cars they are describing.
Yes, there are such errors like the supposed quad headlights of the 1956 Lincoln Premier when there are clearly only two headlights. Gees, how many times does it have to say the make and model of each car? Good grief, it's like it's padding for length. Also, it would be nice if the AI would sync up with what's being shown by the camera at the time.
The Skyliner (#1) retractable roof occasionally became misaligned. A auto electronics instructor told the class if one of these comes into your shop for an adjustment, charge them three times your normal rate and you may break even. ;-) I always wondered about, how much room there really is in the Skyliner 's trunk (beyond the box)?
Talking about the Skylark while showing a Roadmaster, and calling the Skylark a Roadmaster is daft. The Skylark was built on the smaller Special body, The 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 ISN'T a Fairlane 500..It's a Canadian-build Rideau.
I'm starting to really dislike this AI TTS voice program. 1953 Studebaker Starliner isn't "insanely rare". It's quite popular among collectors and racers.
Yes, but the AI narrator's speech about the Lincolns were generally true (1956's didn't get the quad headlights yet). Lincolns were always ahead of other divisions of Ford with their styling. The exception of course being 1960.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸. To all hobbyists do what I do these AI videos take us all back to a time we took time too part in how our nation took pride in what how we looked & drove ! Guys the one good thing is we get to see them ☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸
Really strange showing customized cars and junkyard cars when this is supposed to showcase how elegant the stock cars were. Also the narration contains a lot of meaningless repetitive blather. If this is the best AI can do i say let’s go back to human beings.
"Dodge equipped the Custom Royale with POWERFUL DRUM Brakes that offered effective STOPPING POWER. An important SAFETY FEATURE, given the cars performance capabilities. The car also offered A ROBUST STEERING SYSTEM THAT PROVIDED PRECICE HANDLING, MAKING IT EASY TO MANEUVER CONSIDERING ITS GARGANTUAN SIZE. Who writes this stuff? 😁🤣 Safety features, like brakes that stop the car and steering that made it turn, sin spite of being larger than many millennials. apartments. This is world class stuff!
1959 Dodge Custom Royal: beautiful, powerful, well-engineered, absolute space-age panache, horrible build quality, rusted on the showroom floor. Incidentally the grille was not "flanked by quad headlights - that would be either side. It was topped by quad headlights - above the grille.
Coherence makes for better visuals. Talking about the rounded fenders and sweep spear sides while showing the engine, check. Talking about the interior and dash while showing the rounded fenders and sweep spear, check. Talking about the top grain leather and arty dash while focusing on the wire wheels, check. Talking about the interior while walking around the car, check. Don't like, check.
The wife & I were in our teens back in the 1950's. We all were aware of these & other concept cars being that such vehicles were a particular draw for the numerous auto shows of the day. Characterizing these cars as some kind of secret project that was kept away from the public is unneeded & unnecessary oversell & hype that takes away the effectiveness of your presentation. These cars were NOT secret. In fact, the very reverse is the prime reason for their original existence. 😊
The first car that you were talking about the video is out of sync with the dialogue you're talking about the dashboard while showing the tail lights and when you start talking about the rear end you're showing the engine compartment. Need a little quality editing don't you think ?
I would think it would be pretty easy to coordinate what is being said with what is being shown. Talk about the tail lights while showing the interior, then talk about the interior while showing the grille. Very lame. Also, a '57 Ford does not have dual headlights. Again, lame. AI narration really sucks. Can't talk for yourself, or what???
This podcast is a VERY disappointing entry into the "History of American Automobiles". Here's why. The mechanical sounding A.I. narration is both irritating & pathetic! PLEASE do better in the future. Moreover, you MUST synch the narration to the imagery. I DO NOT want to hear an assessment of the instrument panel while being shown the intricacy of the wheel's design. The cognitive dissonance is too much. 💙
Don't think I will subscribe, you couldn't even have a human narrate this video, instead relying on a bot with an annoying voice. Also, these cars aren't rare
A phony intro photo on the youtube page, add to that the 57 Ford must have some real problems, the roof was never shown with the roof set down attached to the windshield and seated in place with the trunk closed. Hmmm... som-ting is wrong. Fake advertising, I will fortunately not subscribe.
All I can say about all those cars,, Beautiful... Beautiful
The Lincoln in the scrap yard was a beauty ready for the road
A neighbor of ours had one in black! A gorgeous car!!

I love the road master skylark .Classy ride
Parallel parking the Custom Royal could not have been easy

Rust and politicians the main enemy of cars.
Not one word about other rarities: '53 Corvette Nomad wagon, only 6 were made. 48 tucker, 58 were made... 63 Avanti, 4600 made... I could go on!! says a retired Master Goodwrench
As a young boy in South Africa, I saw several of these cars in SA. So much so for 'hiding' them😮
The '59 Dodge "Costume Royal" was a Beautiful Machine.

elon edited another piece of crap
He sounds like a used car salesman.

@@rayfrazier5137The cars look nice, but the AI is incredibly sloppy.

The 50s Buick Woodie was another beauty
could you imagine yesterday design and today's tech

1953 Studebaker Starliner isn't "insanely rare". It's quite popular among collectors and racers.
The starliner was pillarless, the pillared coupe was a Starlite
Car enthusiasts agree, 4 out of 5 of those cars were beautiful! 😅
The 59 Dodge Royal Custom reminds me of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile, which I saw driving around in LA during the Fifties.
The red Buick was a roadmaster, not a Skylark
It's orange not red
The last car is a 57 Meteor Rideau 500 not a Fairlane 500 but does show a Fairlane 500 later.
I love all of them❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏
Too bad the Lincoln is a custom car, definitely not stock

Describing the interior while showing the front bumper & grille. Get some continuity.
Be good to see their dashes a bit more
That yellowish/god Lincoln is NOT a stock car. It has been REWORKED!! I do like the taillights though.
The '53 Studebaker Commander is my "bucket list" car.
1953 SKYLARK was NOT a Roadmaster. ALL WERE CONVERTIBLEs.
Really strange showing customized cars and junkyard cars when this is supposed to showcase how elegant the stock cars were. Also the narration contains a lot of meaningless repetitive blather. If this is the best AI can do i say let’s go back to human beings.
I wonder if this is an AI voice reading a script written by clueless, lazy people.
I gave up before the halfway mark because of the hopeless lack of sync between narration and visuals. A dog's breakfast!
The first cars tail end ; that isnt a trunk its an apartment! LoL
"DUAL HEADLAMPS???" Please show us the OTHER PAIR!!! Maybe on the next year's model, 1958!
This is another AI channel bombarding RUclips.
My dad considered an'59 Dodge, so disappointed when he didn't.

Give me a cherry 2-door 57 Chevy. I'll take it from there.
I would like to knew where the car manufacturers draw their inspiration from today
Where is the car in the thumbnail?
the '57 Skyliner is actually a CANADIAN RIDEAU, NOT a Fairlane 500
The Meteor looks better 🇨🇦

The yellow Lincoln Premeire shown was NOT the production model and quad headlights did not exist in 1956.
'56 Lincoln Premiere did not have quad headlights.
It sounds like 5 times the same narration with only the name of the car and a few words changed, and the AI voice
Sorry, this ruins the video for me.

Buick Dynaslush transmission, also in some 53 Cadillacs after Turbo Hyramatic transmission factory burned down.
Start off in L then shift to D
AI generated clickbait, don't bother

mistakes!
The editing of this video sucks but the cars are worth a look. Just turn the sound off for non-confusing enjoyment.
Never heard of? Nice visuals but kill the cheep-o A I script.
👍🙂 It's cool but it looks really pissed-off!!
These AI texts suck. Bla bla bla all the way.
Until 1972 HORSEPOWER was GROSS, not net.
AI sucks.
😅tired of AI narration. So many errors
This is one of the worst videos I’ve ever seen ! When it talks about the Interior you see the Grill ! Etc.
AI drivel.
So much wrong info
This guy knows nothing about cars.
Horrible photos / video.

I would subscribe, but you AI's pronunciation is unbearable, and the information on the vehicles is either wildly inaccurate, or extremely vague
AI is such a waste.
Being a boy of the 50's, the '59 Dodge was ugly, then and now.
