- Potential Changes to UK Immigration Rules: Salary Thresholds and Considerations
In the coming week, the UK government is expected to reveal plans that may affect foreign workers wanting to come to the UK.
Currently, those with skills outside the shortage occupations list need a salary of at least £26,200 to work in the UK on a sponsorship work visa, which is less than the average wage of £33,000.

The salary threshold during Theresa May and David Cameron's administration was about 32,000 to 35,000 GBP. Then Boris Johnson came in and introduced newer visa routes, brought back the PSW visa helped with Brexit and then reduced the salary threshold for skilled workers visas to 20,000 GBP i even saw some as low as 18,000 GBP. It appears they're going back to the status quo

Suella Braverman increased it to £28,000., the truth is that a majority of the British people would like immigration to stop. We are overpopulated and don't have enough homes or infrastructure to cope with the 100M that already live in the UK. I think there will have to be deportations too. For instance, 82% of women that gave birth in 2022 in Brent were to foreign nationals. British people don't live there anymore, our country has been invaded. More migrants have arrived in the last 20 years than arrived in previous 2,000 years. South Africa is also planning to come out of the UN conventions on immigration to restrict migration.
I really hope the new labour governement that's destined to come in by the next general election reverses a lot of these restrictions the conservative government put in place
Don't think so, otherwise there will be riots due to the amount of British people that demand that immigration comes down. The British people have to be the priority.
