I respectfully disagree with everything you said. Christopher Hart is a cartoonist by trade so naturally his cartooning books are cartoons. The idea is to be able to get to a finished drawing quickly, and successfully and take the skill set that he has broken down simply and apply to your own creation. The human forms books are the streamlined version that you will be able to accomplish and where you go after that with your own creations is wide open because you now have the foundation. Walk before you run mindset? I am 66, female and have made art and sold art for a long time. My sons are working artists. There is great value for any age person not just teens in Chris Hart books and I encourage everyone to follow him on RUclips and challenge your skill set. He puts something up every Monday and his catalog is incredible. I am challenging myself this week to get the basics of drawing hands and within five minutes I am finding success. Art is supposed to be fun and fulfilling and early success means you will desire to keep learning😉

His best book "Basic Drawing" these books are for everyone! Regardless of age you have to learn to draw the same way. Practical experience is what beginners are looking for.
