How to Create an Clickable Interactive Presentation using Hyperlinks in Canva

- Are you a teacher, parent, or a trainer at your company that need a fun and engage your students, children or trainees? In this Canva tutorial we will create an interactive presentation to create interactive lessons that you can gamify by using hyperlinks. And the plus side is... the recipients dont need a Canva account to use this training presentation and can complete play for free online with a click of a link that you provide.

This is an amazing idea! I think I'm going to give this a try. I've been trying to think of how to create interactive lessons/games and I haven't figured out how to do it without them needing a Canva, Google Slides, or PowerPoint account. Thank you so much for this video! 😊
I thought it would be a cool idea to do to make a game for kids with colors and ABCs... I might try to make a game doing this at some point
@@digitalartwithcanva at 13:38, you mention you can send a link out to anybody. I, for the life of me, cannot remember how to do that. I'm sure I've sent links out before, but not without it being a Canva template. Will you please tell/show me how to do this without the other person needing Canva?
@@achristabynon I used a public view link... I tested it out on a non canva linked account to see if it would be clickable if someone didnt have an account
@@digitalartwithcanva thank you so much! I was thinking about using the public view link, but I wasn't sure if that'd give just anyone access to anything that I have on Canva. I'm probably just tired and overthinking it!

you could do a fun way to figure out what kind of book someone might like... like you have 2 books and the questions will lead you to 1 title or the other...maybe?
@@digitalartwithcanva I was thinking along similar lines. Like a clickable menu or something.
@@jeevanicharika yes!!!... you could have 3 books and the can click on a book and it take them to a preview page or something along those lines

Tip: if you double-click the shape, you will see a flashing text cursor to type the text right inside it. Eliminating an extra step. Try it.

One other question, is using a link the only way to share this? I had hoped it would be an MP4 so I could share the MP4 on social. Thanks again for all your help!
@@scrolltrellis5510 a mp4 is just a video of a presentation and would not be interactive in which there is an option on present to present and record

Thankyou for this! It's very helpful for my EmTech class- but I have a question: how to make sure that when you click a nonHyperlinked element in the game it doesnt just take you to the next slide- im having problems on how to find the solution...
I think that is just the nature of the presentation to click and advance... if you notice if you have a presentation with no hyperlinks that it is click to advance and I dont see any settings to change it
after exploring your issue.. I might have found a work around for you to try... so you know we used a whole square element to make the whole page click... you can do the same to keep the page from advancing... example... say you use a photo for you background... hyperlink that photo to the same page it is on... so if they hit the page by accident vs what you intended... it just stays on that page (if that makes sense)

dont download... share as a public view link (they dont need Canva to play
@@digitalartwithcanva ok thank you. But it looks like a Canva account is needed to access the presentation as I'm being asked to log in to proceed when i click the link.

it wont click if you do... they have to be sent to a canva link to play (public view link)

you dont have to... it just gives more clickable area if you dont have specific target to click... or you could just make a button for them to click
@@digitalartwithcanva ohhh...r u trying to say....that more clickable area means that the word will not get selected often???
@@subhodip3064 put it this way.... if you think that the user will click somewhere on the page verses the word... you will need to make the clickable space bigger... so when they tap or click it will go to the next page... if you just have a word and they dont tap on that then it will not move forward due to that area is not clickable
