You're right! Most people insert their own "fairness" into the gospel. "It's not fair so it must mean something else". Good point.

It’s frightening that so many Christians are so easily swayed to justification by the deeds to the law. Since they lack faith in Gods promises, they need something tangible and measurable as a substitute for faith. It’s like a spiritual measuring stick they use to exam themselves to prove the faith they seem to lack.

Spot on! Satin’s biggest lie: there is no God, no Satan, no evil, no sin, second biggest lie: you can do something meritorious to earn or deserve Salvation. It is by grace we are saved, NOT of works!

Correct, and all the while their "not another gospel" double cursed pronounced Galation doctrine, Brings Christ down to a liar, deceiver, fraud, not the Son of God, and failure! And they never even realize they are doing it.
Of course He is none of that, and He and only He saves.

The problem today is that some can not distinguish the difference between necessary works and meritorious works. They can't get through their heads that apparently the idea that a work can be necessary without being in any way meritorious and they won't accept that repentance is necessary and yet not in any way meritorious. You won't be saved without it, but alone, it will never save you. It's Christ alone who saves you, and the role of repentance is turning away from the world (sins) in which you trusted to Jesus whom you now trust as your Lord and Savior.
Repentance is the result of real faith.
This is why repentance always precedes Faith in scripture.

Hello my brother from Landmark baptist, its Barry. Have not spoken yo you for a while. Our Lord of peace give you peace in every way continually. Love always to you dear Tim If I remember your name?
Now, as to the scripture in James.
Lord Jesus compared the peoples belief, to the demons belief (and it is belief that God is one, and nothing about the gospel is mentioned) to enforce the point and show, that the impossibility of the people getting saved, is equal to the impossability (for salvation was, and never is available to angels) of angels getting saved, if they, "THE PEOPLE" DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE SON OF GOD, THE CHRIST, THAT HE IS ONE WITH THE FATHER, ie, the I Am.
Neither is James 2 speaking about JUSTIFICATION TO ETETNAL LIFE. BUT RATHER, IT IS JUSTIFICATION BEFORE FELLOW SINNERS.
AGAIN, ROMANS 5:1 IS JUSTIFICATION BEFORE GOD TO ETETNAL LIFE, by FAITH ONLY.
JAMES 2 IS PROOF THAT JUSTIFICATION TO ETERNAL LIFE HAD "ALREADY HAPPENED" BY SOMETHING ANOTHER SAVED SINNER SEES IN THE LIFE OF ONE THAT SAYS, "I HAVE FAITH."
THE KEY TO THIS PART OF THE EPISTlE IS "IF A MAN SAY."
THIS IS A CONVERSATION BETWEEN 2 PEOPLE AND 2 PEOPLE ONLY. IT IS NOT GOD HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH ONE WHO SAYS "I HAVE FAITH." GOD KNOWS IF HE SAVED THAT PERSON AND NEED NOT SEE ANYTHING. GOD IS NOT SAYING BACK TO THE 1ST PERSON, "SHOW ME YOUR FAITH WITHOUT WORKS, AND I BY MY WORKS WILL SHOW YOU MY FAITH." GOD NEEDS NOT SALVATION.
ONCE ONE UNDERSTANDS THAT THE KEY IS ( "IF A MAN SAY"), IS A CONVERSATION BETWEEN 2 SINNERS, THE DIFFULCULTY OF THE CONTEXT DISSAPEARS.

    Act 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
    Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
It starts with being saved. What comes after depends on the individual. On free will.

  • @yeshuaneitheristheresalvat8018
    @yeshuaneitheristheresalvat8018 6 месяцев назад +1

Quite simple. "He knows his time is short." Legion in the two men in the Gaderenes also knew it.
Of course they saw in the Old Testament, and New, souls being saved. So, of course they believe the good news of Yashua, but from the rich mans perspective only. They know its true, but "He does not take the angels by the hand..." and "those that left their first estate." No salvation for angels, those that kept theirs also.
So of course the only way they (Satan and his host) believe the gospel is in the intellectual knowing it. The same as the man who lifted up his eyes in torment now knows it.

The thief on the cross is a great example of one who believes and has no opportunity to do anything further than that. Jesus said he would be with Him that day in paradise. Luke 23:42”And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. 43 And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, today you shall be with me in Paradise”

    • @2Chronicles714_

The thief on the cross admitted he was guilty of his sins., he changed his mind, (repented)
      Of his sinfulled life
      He said:
      Luke 23:41-43
We are punished justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
      [Thats Repentance]
42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
HE FEARED GOD. Anyone who refuses to acknowledge and change their mind (repent) about their sinfulled life will not be forgiven, just as the thief if he wouldn't have admitted his sins, he would not have believed or been forgiven. If he would've only said Remember me he would not have been saved.
The other thief didn't admit he deserved to die he insulted Jesus, HE DID NOT FEAR GOD, he didn't admit his sins he said: If he is who he claims he is let him save himself and us.
The thief repented which is the consequence of faith and is with Jesus in paradise.

Correction. Never in any lexicon or the Lord's definition, does repent ever mean change your mind about sinning, as if doing so makes us a coworker in our salvation. For the lost, the Spirit brings conviction of sin, righteousness, and judgement, then the good news. It means "a changing of the flags." A 180 degree from every way you though you could get forgiveness of sins and life eternal, (and being declared righteous) FROM YOUR WAY TO GODS! DEAR SIR, I have noticed that you quote scriptures, but then BRING IN YOUR OWN THOUGHTS AS TO WHAT YOU FEEL IT MEANS. WE COMPARE SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE "IN CONTEXT", NEVER OUR OWN THOUGHTS. TO THE PHARISEESS HE SAID, "YOU SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES, FOR IN THEM YOU THINK YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND IT IS THEY THAT BEAR WITNESS OF ME."
YOU CANNOT BRING FORTH 1 DEFINITION OF THE ONE YOU ARE PURPORTING, EITHER IN CONTEXT, GRAMMER, OR WHAT THE THIEF, OR MY LORD JESUS EVER SAID. PLEASE GIVE US SCRIPTURE IN CONTEXT OF YOUR SUPPOSITION for the word repent in an unregenerate. Not a saint, but an unregenerate.
REPENT NEVER, WE REPEAT NEVER IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE MEANS 2CHRONICLES714 WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IN THE LOST SOUL. AND ALL YOU AND ANYONE ELSE NEED DO IS LOOK IT UP, AND LOOK WHAT LORD JESUS SAYS ABOUT IT.
BECAUSE OF MY SAVIOUR AND MASTER LOVE, SIR.

@@2Chronicles714_Again, it never in any case EVER MEANS "CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT YOUR SINFUL LIFE FOR THE UNREGENERATE." THIS IS A NULL AND VOID, AND FALSE DEFINITION FOR THE CONTEXTS CONCERNING THE UNREGENERATE. PLEASE LOOK IT UP IN THE GREEK, HEBREW, OR ARAMAIC SIR. FOR THE LOST IT WOULD BE FRONT LOADING CHRISTS GOSPEL. DISTINCTLY RINGS GALATION.

    • @yeshuaneitheristheresalvat8018
      @yeshuaneitheristheresalvat8018 6 месяцев назад +1

Your incorrect definition of repentance is putting a condition on Lord Jesus' salvation, which neither you, nor the thief, nor anyone else could keep while in an unregenerate state, and "already condemned" John 3:18.
No one dead in their TRESPASSESS and sins has any power to "CLEAN THEIR LIFE UP FIRST" so Christ will accept them. That is just the point, you are not part Saviour, and the only part you have in Christs salvation is your sins against Him, AND THAT IS ALL. This is a "not another gospel" double cursed pronounced Galation doctrine you are advancing, and anyone who's mind is habitually in scripture knows this!
The thief knew he was "dead in his TRESPASSESS and sins" lost, condemned already, and "received" Lord Yeshua. "As many as received Him, to them He gives the right to become the sons of God. Who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh "I'm gonna clean up my life, "repent"), nor of someone's else's will, But of God."
Show us anywhere where Christ's definition matches yours THAT PERTAINS TO THE UNREGENERATE.
Please, 2Chronicles714, before your espouse something, make sure your definitions pertaining to the lost are Christ's. For anyone who studies the language, and CONTEXTS, AND CHRISTS EXACT WORDS KNOWS THERE IS A 180 DEGREE DIFFERENCE IN WHAT HE SAYS FROM WHAT YOU ARE SAYING when you apply your definition of repent to the "LOST."
      HAS LORD YESHUA SAVED YOU?
"JESUS SAID, "REPENT, AND BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS." PLEASE SEE WHAT THAT WORD MEANS ACCORDING TO LORD JESUS IN THAT CONTEXT AND EVERY OTHER, AND HE WILL SET YOU STRAIGHT. PLEASE. Salvation is of the Lord only, and not anyone 'CHANGING THEIR LIFE OF SINNING. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE ANYWAY!
THE ONLY THING THAT EVER SAVED ANYONE, FROM THE TUNICS OF SKIN" (ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH WHAT FATHER, LORD JESUS, AND THE SPIRIT DID FOR ADAM AND EVE) THAT GOD MADE FOR ADAM AND EVE, UNTIL THE CONSUMMATION OF ALL THINGS IS-------THE INFINITE PUNISHMENT FOR THE PENALTY OF SINS (YOURS TOO) ON A MORAL SINLESS VICTIM, AND A LOST, DEAD, "CONDEMNED ALREADY" SINNER BELIEVING ON THAT SINLESS VICTIM, YASHUA HA'MASHIACH, AS THEIR SAVIOUR!
WHAT DOES THE BRAZEN ALTER MEAN, THE BLOOD ON THE MERCY SEAT, THE LOT FOR JEHOVAH, THE AZEZAL, AND THE ONLY WAY INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES BEHIND THE VEIL (ONLY CHRIST CAN ETERNALLY SECURE YOU AND BRING YOU THERE) THROUGH THE VEIL, THAT IS THROUGH HIS FLESH, AND NOT YOUR ("IMPOSSIBILITY")STOPPING YOUR SINNING, OR CHANGING YOUR SINFUL LIFE! WHERE DOES LORD JESUS TEACH US THAT IN ANY OF ALL THIS? YOU ARE MAKING YOURSELF BY THE INCORRECT DEFINITION OF REPENTANCE, PART SAVIOUR. CHRIST WILL ONE DAY SAY "DEPART FROM ME, I NEVER KNEW YOU" TO MOST PEOPLE, BECAUSE THEY WERE DEPENDING ON THEIR FAILING "STOP A LIFE OF SIN, CHANGING THEIR SINFUL LIFE (ALL IMPOSSIBLE IN AN UNCONVERTED STATE) AND DEPENDING ON THEIR FILTHY CEREMONIAL (definition correct of this old testament expression, look it up) DEAD EGG, unable to produce life MENSTRUAL RAG UNRIGHTEOUS WORKS, OF WHICH THE SELF DECEPTIVE IMPOSSIBLE CHANGING THEIR LIFE OF SIN (INCORRECT DEFINITION OF REPENTANCE) IS THE GREATEST DECEPTION OF ALL. ALL THE SACRIFICES SHOW EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE.
Have you ever seen yourself as God says you are? "...condemned already (like the thief realized), and then accepted Christ? For when one does, He saves, and makes a New creation, eternally secure in, by, and through Him only, because He is the only eternally secure one, and makes the one He saved KNOW IT? After watching these clips, I must repeat. James 2 is glaringly not about Justification to eternal life. And there is not one hint in the context of it being so.
Nothing could be possibly clearer, ie, IT IS THE "PROOF" THAT JUSTIFICATION TO ETERNAL LIFE ALREADY HAPPENED! THAT IS WHY THE SPIRIT BRINGS US BACK TO ABRAHAM ANDPROVES HE WAS JUSTIFIED BY SAYING "AND THE SCRIPTURE WAS FULFILLED (NOT MADE TRUE, PLEASE GRASP THIS) WHICH SAID, ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO him FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS."
DID THE LORD SAY TO ABRAHAM IN GENESIS, EVEN THOUGH YOU BELIEVED ME, BELIEVED MY PROMISE TO YOU BY FAITH, I CANNOT YET SAVE YOU, NOR IMPUTE TO YOU RIGHTEOUSNESS, UNTIL YOU HAVE A "FAITH THAT WORKS," (WHICH IS "NOT ANOTHER GOSPEL" DOUBLE CURSED PRONOUNCED GALATION DOCTRINE.) YOU ARE ALMOST THERE, BUT I AM WAITING ON YOU TO BE PART SAVIOUR IN MY SALVATION BY YOUR WORKS?
ABRAHAMS FAITH WAS MADE PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT, BUT NOT, WE REPEAT BUT NOT BEFORE GOD! IT WAS NEVER MADE PERFECT BEFORE GOD, AND THE WHOLE CONTEXT OF JAMES 2 SHOUTS THIS OUT TO US. NOT BEFORE GOD! GOD KNEW HE ALREADY SAVED ABRAHAM BY FAITH ALONE. HE HAD JUSTIFICATION TO ETERNAL LIFE. "GOD PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO ABRAHAM."
THE PROOF THAT GOD ALREADY SAVED ABRAHAM BY FAITH ONLY WAS THAT SOME WILL PRODUCE 100, SOME 60, AND SOME 30. AND THIS IS WHAT THE SAVED SINNER IS LOOKING FOR IN ONE THAT SAYS "I HAVE FAITH." JAMES 2 IS PROOF THAT JUSTIFICATION TO ETERNAL LIFE ALREADY HAPPENED IN THE HISTORY OF ABRAHAM. AND EVERYBODY THEN AND NOW THAT LOOKS AT ABRAHAM KNOWS THAT THE LORD JUSTIFIED HIM TO ETERNAL LIFE BEFORE ISSAC. SO FOR OTHER SAVED SINNERS THAT LOOK AT HIM AS WE DO EACH OTHER, THE LORD ALLOWS US TO SEE THE PROOF THAT HE SAVED ABRAHAM SO WE KNOW WE CAN HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH THE ONE WHO PROFESSES, OR TO PRAY FOR THEIR SALVATION.
JAMES 2 IS PRACTICAL PROOF OF AN ALREADY JUSTIFICATION, BEFORE THOSE THAT SAY "SHOW ME." PROOF OF ETERNAL LIFE THAT ALREADY HAPPENED.
***THIS IS OF MONUMENT, SO PLEASE DO NOT MISS IT***
"THE FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY NEVER, NEVER, AND WE REPEAT NEVER MAKES THE PROPHECY TRUE!" IT NEVER DID, IT DOESN'T, AND NEVER WILL MAKE PROPHECY TRUE.
    ***IT FULFILLS IT.***
IT IS TRUE BECAUSE GOD SAID IT!
IT IS A TRUTH OR SOME SYSTEM SKETCHED OUT BY THE LORD, AND IS FUFILLED IN HIS TIMING. EITHER SOONER OR LATER. THE FORMULA IS ALWAYS, "SO THAT IT WAS FULFILLED, OR, AND IT WAS FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY THE PROPHET", OR "AND IT WAS FULFILLED, BUT NEVER, "SO THAT IT WAS "MADE" TRUE."
"ABSOULUTELY, ABRAHAMS FAITH WAS MADE PERFECT BY WORKS." HIS PROFESSION OF FAITH ("I HAVE FAITH") WAS MADE PERFECT "NOT BEFORE GOD" FOR GOD ALREADY SAVED HIM LONG BEFORE OFFERING UP ISSAC, ALREADY IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS.
BUT MADE PERFECT TO FELLOW SAVED SINNERS WHO SAY ("SHOW ME".)
HOW MUCH MORE CONTEXTUALLY CAN BE BROUGHT, BUT WE PRAY SUFFICIENT IS THIS VERY SHORT SYNOPSIS, TO COMFORT THOSE SAINTS THAT CHRIST HAD SAVED, BUT HAVE NOT HAD THE SPIRIT REVEAL TO THEM YET, THEIR ETERNAL SECURITY IN, BY, AND THROUGH LIRD JESUS ONLY, FOR HE IS THE ONLY ONE IN WHOM IT IS FOUND, BECAUSE HE IS THE ONLY SECURE ONE!
AND FIR THE STILL UNSAVED, THAT THEY MIGHT SEE FIRGIVENESS OF SINS AND SALVATION, LIFE ETERNAL IS BY FAITH AND FAITH ONLY IN A LITERAL PERSON, THAT BEING ONLY LORD JESUS FOR YOU!

Jesus paid for all fleshy sin not the sin of demons . People are getting mixed up with the flesh and the spirit. The wages sin pays is death and James is talking about the flesh that sins not the spirit.
James :2:4 What doth it profit, my brethren,(flesh) though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?(flesh)15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,(flesh)16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; not withstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;(flesh) what doth it profit?(flesh)17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 26 For as the body (flesh) without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead(to the flesh) also
1 John 3: 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
How are we born again ? 1 John 5:1,5 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
If you don’t believe on the finished work of Christ because you add works then you are not born again 1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Galatians 3:21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Should we sin Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. The wages sin pays is death even the apostles died. Our spirit will receive new sinless bodies . Repentance of sin isn’t biblical!

This is an easy one and I want everyone to know this. The reason why God said for us to believe in his son. It’s because his son is perfect and when we trust the son, we get a free gift. It’s real easy. Look at the people going to hell look at all the people that demand a better lifestyle to be saved, but that has nothing to do with it because it is only the faith of Christ that saves us, we get what is called imputed righteousness why can’t people understand simplicity because they don’t believe

  • @paulgross3067
    @paulgross3067 5 месяцев назад

OK, this is an easy one. I’m gonna let everyone understand this a spirit or a devil the same thing and unclean spirit is those fallen angels who have lost out on their first estate, which is heaven so these unclean spirits are simply waiting for just like in the book of Mark, they’re waiting for their judgment. They have been sentence to help fire, that’s it guys. It doesn’t matter nothing else matters. It’s like saying you died without believing in Christ you’re guilty. God and your sins were not washed away because it doesn’t count because you didn’t believe it. OK now we understand what James is talking about and we understand simplicity, Jesus did not come to the Earthto die for unclean spirits thank you. Be blessed all of you.

I know saved through Grace alone through faith alone and salvation produces something good works people who are saved truly have assurance we'll keep searching seeking overcoming sin but we are not sinless and Paul says it's like a boxing match like a race so he's doing something how do you know if you're saved if you're not living for Christ it is hard and thinking a lot am I saved just got keep going back to Grace and has you grow you get comfortable in your assurance Christ's finished work on the cross. We are saved by faith.
As James explains a dead faith is a useless meaningless Faith.
    As James clearly explains
A faith that is alive will be evident. James 2
18 Show me your faith without your works or evidence and I will show you my
faith with my works/ evidence. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Abraham could have said I have faith alone I won't do any works.
He would have disobeyed God by refusing to to the work that God wanted him to do.
He proved his faith was alive not just talk.
21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Noah could have said I have faith alone. I won't do works so I'm good with God.
Of course, if Noah wouldn't have done his works his faith was not only dead but he and his family would have died in the flood, ending mankind.
Paul echos what James says in
    Acts 26:20
First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.
Show evidence of your repentance which is the consequence of faith by your works/conduct/lifestyle.
If your faith is dead how can you claim to be saved by faith alone?

You see my friend there is a difference between works of the law and works of love the law cannot save but when we love Jesus we walk in the spirit and and we do deeds of love this love can't save you either think four yourself if one claim he is a believer and he see his brother suffer and he ignore him how can the love of god be in such a man you cannot say you believe if you don't have works of love impossible

Well intentioned this guy is not well intentioned he’s completely deceiving himself. The words are right there in the Bible on clean spirits. You can be unclean and believe because you’ve seen it. You’ve seen it, but as far as unclean spirits, not human beings but spirits, they already been judged they’re just waiting for that judgment.

John the Baptist who paved the way for Jesus preached to repent of your sins and prove your repentance by your works.
Repentance is the consequence of faith.
    Luke 3:7-8
John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
[A real faith will result in producing fruit.]
    Jesus said in Matthew 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
    [Don't hide your faith].
    Jesus also said
    John 15:5-6
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me [staying in your faith] and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
[True faith will necessarily produce much fruit/evidence]
Paul says to do the same as John the Baptist and Jesus repent of your sinfulled life and show evidence of your repentance by your deeds or conduct.
    Acts 26:18-20
To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
19“So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. 20First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.
A live faith will be evident by your fruit
James 2 says faith without works or evidence is dead.
You can't be saved by Faith alone if you have a dead Faith.

      2 Chronicles 714-
      1. Repentence is not specifically turning from sins. It refers to a change of mind. You can change your mind about sin, but you can also repent having a hamburger for lunch, or repent from listening to Ray Comfort to Ralph Arnold. How can God repent (as he does regarding the Israelites and Nineveh) if it is only refers to turning from sin? Does God sin?
      2. A real faith produces "fruit?" Ok. What is "real" fruit? By who's standard? Yours? Paul Washer's? The Bible's? If it is the latter, then I'm sorry, you're not saved then, you have no real fruit by your own measure, your faith is dead or never existed. After all, a good tree only produces good fruit, a bad tree bad fruit. Do you sin? (Yes, nod your head.) Then if it means what you say it does, you have all bad fruit. You need absolute perfection. You aren't elect, ut oh.
Perhaps, just maybe you're wrong (and so is every single Calvinist) about what Jesus said concerning fruit. Hint, context is important.
      3. Yes, you got one right. We should let our light of faith shine. No argument there. We need to be more demonstrative of our faith.
      4. You add the "true" faith part, reading in your doctrine. Who defines what "truth" faith is? You're not qualified, you can't read hearts and minds. Scripture doesn't say anything about someone's salvation there. Who was Jesus speaking to in the vine discourse in John? Saved disciples or false converts? Go back and read the part before it again. Are you suggesting the future Apostles could've lost their salvation if they didn't work hard enough? Maybe abiding doesn't exactly quite mean what you think it does.
      5. Now you're completely Calvinizing misreading scripture. (Which is basically is the same thing.) Jesus said repent and believe the Gospel. As in rethink trying to earn saving faith by your fruits.
      6. Again by your standard, your faith is also dead. You have no works. Any works that aren't perfect demonstrations of God's level of righteousness fail to meet standard, they don't count at all towards proving to yourself you're saved. You have demon faith! Who was James' letter really addressed to, Christians or false converts? Could it be in context James meant justifying/demonstrating your faith to men and not God?
Praying you may you one day get off the navel gazing hamster wheel of assurance checks! Many of us have been there too.

So when Jesus said Repent over and over again was He saying to change your mind about a hamburger?
What would Jesus want you to change your mind about?
The only thing that will keep you eternally separated from God.
      Sin all sin.

I promise you “repent of your sins” never came out of John’s mouth. Idk what Bible you’re reading. That phrase actually comes from the Book of Mormon. It is quite literally a deceptive way of saying “follow the law”.

      You're verifiably a Church of Christ Cult member , aren't you ?
You have 3 NECESSARY conditions for earning entrance into His Kingdom.
      1. "Faith" in stuff about Jesus .
      2. A lifetime of repentance (turning from all sins till death) .
      3. Water Baptism .
...None of which have the slightest shred of evidence in the Bible .
Only childlike faith in Him FOR endless eternal life regenerates .

I promise you repent of sin did come out of John's mouth.
      John 3:19-21,36
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
      Not enough ?
Revelation 9:20-21 (John the Apostle speaking) And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Is John not saying to repent of sin?
