can't understand why this would be a controversy, its totally in character

I'm glad the show didn't compromise. It grabbed you and rubbed your face in this full on saga of a narcissist rising to power. Everyone is expendable.

@@George-zj9rr agreed the show was perfect! In a world where we make Sony Spider-Man villains anti-heroes… it’s night that The Penguin made sure to remind us he is 100% a villain

I thought the ending was a great way to show Penguins emotional vulnerability.
Villain or not, he is human and he loved the kid dearly.
Therefore he knew he couldn't leave himself exposed to such a vulnerability for his enemies to target...he killed him because he loved him.

@@JohnThompsonJT I could see that as well, Oz was such a Complex character and I do think he did care about Vic, but ultimately Vic would hold him back from where he wants to be and he wasn’t gonna be able to keep around around, too much emotional attachment. I agree 💯

Loved the series and loved the ending. I also think that if his mom wasn’t in a vegetative state, he likely would have felt that he needed to kill her too. If I remember correctly there is a point in the show where she says she doesn’t want to live like that. I expected her death by his hands, but in a sense because it’s against her wishes, him keeping her alive is in a way even more villainous.

@@keithgrant6448 oh wow, yeah I remember her saying that! And yeah there’s definitely something more dark and twisted keeping her alive in that situation especially with the fall out they had, when Sofia had them both tied up and his Mom revealed she always knew what he did to his Brothers!
      Such a crazy show!

I called Vics death from episode 2

@@SuperMoshady yeah I mean at that time I could see it being more probable but the bond along the way makes you think otherwise, but ultimately I saw it coming when they started talking on that bench

@farfromblake i called the bond as well tho! I knew thats how it was going to turn out because it would be such a twist, and I never forgot that Oz is a murderer

I just didn't like Victor didn't fight back even a bit. Didn't seem to fit the arc he went through in the show
