The Mi Home App work fine. I use the Mi Home skill with Alexa and the Roborock skill too to turn on and charge my Roborock E4. The Roborock app doesn't work with the E models just the Mi Home app
Sometimes when I vacuume unusual areas like under a bed I've moved , I wish I had the E4 instead of s5 max. My s5 max thinks it's in a different room next to a no go zone. I had to delete a map, and make new map to get the areas under the furniture I've moved cleaned. Now I only store 3 maps in case I've got a spesial area that needs to be vacuumed.
App setup seems to require having it very close to the phone and router both, but it works fine anywhere in the house once set up. It definitely is a little too tall to get under the couches, but it navigates real well around the house. Yes, for those wondering, it does do the entire house. If the battery dies it will return to where it left off and finish, something you do not see in similarly priced units. It also runs a back and forth pattern instead of randomly bouncing around. I like how it slows down about a foot before hitting an object it detects. That being said, furniture with thin legs may get crashed into. Overall, I'm impressed with ours.
I will try getting vacuum/phone close to the router. I was also having issue connecting. I really want to like it but if the app doesn’t work then I might have to return it
I have one and it works great. I have not had any problems with the app. I had to connect to my internet and it works fine. I have a simple floor plan and it works out great for me for the price.

If this one has a 2KPa suction power and the regular upright vacuum ones have 24KPa suction power, aren't the regular ones just better at the job?

Hey does E4 work o. 5ghz wifi? Will it go into all rooms by itself? Like dark bathroom too?
Yes it does go into all rooms by itself. This robot says that it doesn’t work with the 5g. You have to choose the regular wifi without the 5g.
You also have to use the Mi Home app with the Roborock E4.
I’m curious, between this and the Eufy vac which do you prefer?
I prefer this over the Eufy. This has so many functions.

I just bought mine today and I’m returning it. I downloaded the app however it’s not connecting to my Wi-Fi. I have a fiber optic network.

Mine goes under the couch. I am trying to figure out how to work the remote control.
The remote on your app? You have to hold the controls down to get it to work. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. I hope this helped you. ❤️

@@boompowzap download mi app, make sure you are connected to a wifi, enable location and bluetooth. Tap on add new device and it will appear on the top
