Stefan’s choice in this episode is so controversial but I still maintain that he made the right call even if Elena hadn’t survived the crash. Elena was depressed due to survivor’s guilt after her parents’s crash, she spent most of s2 borderline suicidal because of everyone putting their lives on the line to save her. She would’ve been devastated if Matt died to save her and never would’ve survived it. Stefan saving Matt is probably the most selfless thing he’s ever done for her.
Klaus Tyler said "leave or I'll make you leave" which is why he started transforming intentionally. He needed to "die" alone in order to sell the ruse so he basically threatened to kill her. The turning wasn't part of the "death."
The season 3 finale is one of the most iconic finales. The fact that damon and elena met first breaks my heart. I also can’t believe Stefan let Elena die, Damon would never omg. It was also so shocking that Elena is a vampire now.
I STRONGLY disagree. I'm sure if it was up to him he would've saved her but Stefan loves and respects Elena enough to follow her wishes and save her friend because he knows how much her friends and family mean to her. Damon could never.

Ive been waiting for this episode to get your reactions a side from episode 10 and episode 19. Season 3 was definitely a ride probally my favorie season. Ric was a great character and his death was heartbreaking. Damon and Elena meeting first was a nice revelation in the finale when it aired. It was torture waiting for Season 4 when this was originality airing waiting through the summer to get new episodes.
Yes. This season has some of my favorite moments of the season. But I can’t wait till 6 when they meet the most attractive person to grace this series … Kaiiiiii 😍. Season 6 has some of my other favorite moments in the series because of him. Every time he was on screen was gold similar to most of the originals on tvd. This is why season 3 & 6 are my personal faves
Elena really lost her life after bleeding through the brain because of Klaus pushing her head first on the steps after he just bled her dry & them gets killed by his sister Rebehka. Elena just can’t catch a break smh 🤦♂️. All because she got involved with vampires that wouldn’t leave her alone. You can’t help but feel for her, because she didn’t deserve any of this

Anna said that she couldn’t believe that Elena looked like Elena despite being in mystic falls for quite some time in hidden until she could go with her plan to reunite with Pearl. Elijah who’s been scouring the earth with Klaus & Rebehka running from Mikael said to Rose & Trevor that it was impossible that there was a new doppelgänger from the petrova gang cause they thought that it had ended with Katherine when she became a vampire. So the world is a big place & add that no one was even looking for something they didn’t know existed. Elena would’ve been fine & unnoticed if not for the Salvatore brothers bringing her into this life. The fact that she was almost all of her life being unnoticed as a Katherine look a like until she got involved with the Salvatores proves that.
@@packedentertainment2866what?? did you really watch the show?? bonnie’s mom told that klaus’s dad showed in mystic falls years ago looking for elena and was her that put the spell on him and obviously katherine knew that there was another doppelgänger cause she dad a daughter before plus elena and stefan are both doppelgängers and there is a magic spell from the travelers that keeps putting them on each other’s path so it would happen anyway, it’s not because she meet the salvatores 🙄

Yeah, I would’ve preferred Matt. It was obvious that he tried but couldn’t do Klaus’ accent at the end of the episode which is fine because not everyone can do different accents other than their own

Y’all thought season 1’s finale was insane (way more than season 2 imo) & then this happened. Season 3’s finale is easily one of my favorite episodes of TVD along with the last 2 episodes of season 6
YES!!! This marks a pivotal point in the series. From now on everything changes! This finale shook me to my core when I first watched it. I always knew Elena would become a vampire at some point but wasn't expecting it at that time or in that way. The car scene is weirdly very emotional and ridiculous at the same time. Elena is there fighting with Stefan and telling him to save Matt while she's literally drowning and wasting precious time. Also, why didn't Stefan help her unbuckle her seatbelt? And doesn't he have super speed? But Nina's acting along with the Sigur Rós song (which as an Icelander I was freaking out about!) made me cry so much 😭 And I'm sure if it was up to him he would've saved her but I LOVE that Stefan loves and respects Elena enough to follow her wishes and save her friend because he knows how much her friends and family mean to her. I also love this quote: "That's what love should be. You should love the person that makes you glad to be alive". I will ALWAYS be a Stelena shipper ❤ Damon: "You want a love that consumes you. You want passion and adventure, and even a little danger... I want you to get everything you're looking for". Elena: "When I'm with him, it just consumes me" As you know, I'm not a Delena shipper but the paralells are insane. Btw, I know it's been a long time since you've seen this Rob but how could you forget Elena dying and turning? I really thought you accidentally spoiled it! Fun facts: The plot to turn Elena into a vampire had been in the works since the series began. Initially, it was to be used by the end of the 2nd season. Elena dies exactly the same way she did in the books but it was Katherine who caused her death, not Rebekah. The ending scene when Elena is in the hospital's morgue and wakes up in transition is very similar to the scene where Bella wakes up as a vampire at the end of Breaking Dawn Part 1. This is the highest rated episode out of all 8 seasons. The initial airing attracted 2.53 million viewers. Goofs: Stefan and Matt state that Damon is a 100 miles out of town and cannot get back within 1 hour. However, as shown multiple times throughout the series, Damon is capable of running so fast that he would have been able to return to Mystic Falls well within 1 hour. Also, Alaric is called Elena's guardian but she has already turned 18.

Watching this finale live was INSANE! I was 16 and let me just tell you, it shook me to my core. Crying and everything 😂 waiting 5 months for the S4 premiere was horrible
"If only you and I had met first !! Elena probably only said that to Damon to soften the blow of her rejection. But her words, and the recollection of their first meeting , is what gives Damon the will to fight back against Ric, when he had almost given up in despair. So he then he starts fighting again with renewed vigour and determination. So, Elena, unknowingly, saves his life from the brink of death. And Damon's blood in her system, is what saves her from death when she drowns. A 100 miles apart from each other, and they end up saving each other's lives ,without their own knowledge. Wow !! And that's Damon and Elena for you. And to those people who are looking for symbolism, because this show is all about symbolism and subtexts and layers...this has been commented on a lot. Elena symbolically dies ,cradled in Damon's arms.( because Alaric's life is tied to Elena's ,and he dies cradled thus. Also ,when Stefan goes back to the car after taking Matt to safety, Elena is already dead) And Elena is reborn with Damon's blood in her. Added to all this, is Bonnie's premonition when she touched Elena, all the way back in the Pilot episode. When she touched Stefan, she saw Death. And when she touched Elena ,she saw fog and a crow (referring to Damon as we learn ), and Bonnie says,whatever she saw or thought she saw, it was only the beginning. lnteresting. Now, all things are pointing to a true beginning of Damon and Elena. Wow again.
Yup, cause it's Klaus who's constantly tells Caroline how strong she is and always talks about her future. He's the only one whos ever seen her for who she is as a person and as a vamp.

But then he went on to immediately starting tormenting her and her friends. Episode 1 is the crow and the fog. IMO the Damon and Elena meeting first was retcon, because it actually doesn’t even make sense.
@@KS1211-gd3vl it’s not a retcon, just because you don’t like it. They met first and that’s a fact. And secondly, damon has changed from what he was in season 1. And even in season 1, you can tell that damon cared strongly for Elena. Even when he was the “villian” at the beginning.

If he truly wanted all those wonderful things for elena, he wouldn’t have terrorized her, her friends, and her family, IMO. The scene didn’t make sense to me personally. And of course Damon cares strongly for elena now. I’m simply saying that the “meeting first” just feels contrived to me.
@@KS1211-gd3vl you can tell that Damon’s humanity was slowly coming back with his moments with Elena in season 1. He cared about elena even back then so their first meeting makes the most sense to me. He even mentioned Elena being a dead ringer for Katherine the pilot when he talked to Stefan. It implies that he knew her from back then.
I love how they didn’t believe for a moment that Elena was actually written off because how could they write off THE main character of the series? Right? 👀
Now it's really about to heat up. I love the whole series but from this point on is so much better. Season 4&5 are the best ones imo and Elena is so much cooler as a vamp.
Funny , in an episode where Elena' "chooses" Stefan....the focus is all on Damon. Yeah...she was driving back to Stefan and would be with him soon. Still ,when the person you love has only got an hour to live, your first instinct is to call him, ask him to hold on, assure him that you would be with him soon. But no....she calls Damon. Is worried about him. Asks him how he feels, if he has any symptoms. Tells him he's going to be ok....that she would see him soon. And her heart is breaking all this while. She's devastated. She refuses to believe that he will be gone, that she would not see him again. Everything she should be saying to Stefan, the man she loves. I mean, what if she didnt make it back in time to him.?That was a real possibility too. But , no. It was all Damon. And you know what else ? She calls Damon ... to say that she loves... Stefan .Calls Damon to say she "chooses" Stefan !!!!!! And then..she dies . Without even talking to the love of her life !! Her epic love !!!!!! And while she drowns, though Stefan is at the scene of action...the focus is on Damon's face, his reaction, his realization of her death, his devastation at that realization. And the final reveal that she has vampire blood in her ???? We are shown Meredith telling Damon this. And we register Damon's utter shock and disbelief at this. Nothing on Stefan's reaction. We only get a shot of Stefan sitting in silent grief at the mortuary,waiting for Elena to wake up. Its obvious that he already knows. The writers didnt think his reactions and feelings were important enough to be shown on screen ?? Wow !! If I were a Stelena fan ?? I dont know that I would be really happy at the end.
Because she may have chosen to return home but it was not only for Stefan - she expected to see him and Caroline and Tyler and the others. She knew Damon would perhaps die alone. She called to talk to him and to reassure him that things would be okay. Her 'maybe if we'd met first' comment - he knew they had and still didn't tell her. He respected her choice and didn't try to influence it. Stefan tried to influence her by kissing her like that before he left - he was more devious at that point than Damon. My thought is this. If you love someone and you meet another and you are torn between the two, then you go with the second one - because if you were that much in love with the first one you wouldn't have kind of fallen for the other.

Agreed, this is one of my favorite episodes but also the season 1 finale & the ghost episode where Anna reunites with Pearl, Anna’s death & her reunion with Pearl always makes me tear up when watching this series. Also every episode involving Kai later on … which speaking of … no spoilers but I found it funny that they didn’t believe for a second that Elena was dead-dead & was written off the show because there’s no way they’d write her off since she’s the main character 👀. I can’t wait for them to get to the later seasons. 4 has Nina Dobrev’s best performance in one episode in particular after a certain thing happens in an episode about grief where funnily not much happens in the episode but it’s an extremely powerful episode, I can’t wait for them to see that episode cause I feel like it’s gonna break them like it broke me.
Yeah. I personally would not be friends with him anymore if my own trusted friend decided to drug me without my permission. Ironically this is a repeat of when she asked for Jeremy to be compelled to leave town & not think of coming back & when she asked for him to forget about Vicki taking his choice away, Jeremy got payback by doing the exact same thing with Matt by making this plan to take her choice away & remove her from the town as well. Full circle even though… it’s quite messed up.
the fact that stefan and damon represent such different ways of loving here with the drowning situation. i love damon as a character but i've always had a soft spot for stefan because of the decisions he makes. no matter how much i loved elena I'm the type of person that would respect her wishes even if that means i'd have to let her go.
Frfr. It’s like Klaus & Elijah. Stefan will always be the noble hero type. While Damon will always be the impulsive anti hero that acts before he thinks like Klaus.
Im sorry this is off topic but it kinda annoys me that elena chose to sacrifice herself for matt because i get it losing one of her friends would hurt but no one knew atp that she had vampire blood so if meredith hadn’t given it to her then she would have died leaving Jeremy completely and utterly alone at 16. 🥲 like ik it was a lose lose situation but it sucks that she would have been ok with leaving her brother with no family

Its very controversial but I always had a different perspective of why Stefan keeps letting Elena do her own thing when it comes to decisions even when it comes to life and death. So I think Stefan lets it happen bc he didn't respect damon's choice of not wanting to become a vampire anymore and just die as a human being, so that backfired as you know and damon wanted to make stefans life hell and hated him for it, so Stefan obviously always felt guilty for taking damon's choice away, and he probably thinks that if I don't respect my girlfriends choice like how I did my brother he would feel that same type of guilt and would think he was being selfish yet again to another person he loves. But my problem is Stefan is strong enough to pull both out if we are thinking logically, but anyway I've always see people having double standards on if it had been damon and he just saves Elena no questions ask but not respecting her choice to die for someone she loves when Stefan did the exact same thing to damon's choice to die but saved him anyway.

She took my breath away !! She's a dead ringer for Katherine !! ".. There was something in the way he said it.....I remember thinking...ooohh !! What if he had already met Elena before ? Wouldnt it be cool ?? I remember how excitedly we all discussed that delicious possibility So it was such a pleasant surprise to us all when this flashback appeared. And we were thrilled to bits. Also , Damon's reaction when he tried to compel Elena in Friday Night Bites ,all the way back in S1, E3. His attempt to compel her fails. She slaps him. And he is shocked and surprised. Because his compulsion had worked 4 months ago. Why wasnt it working here ? And then ofc he sees the vervain necklace. But, yeah..Damon meeting Elena first was a wonderful revelation. And more importantly, the placement was exactly right . And the instant connection that she felt with Damon. That spark. Here she was , opening up about her personal feelings to a total stranger !! You can see it in her face Haha....no wonder ,Elena always used the word "consumed" whenever she talked of Damon. The memories of her meeting Damon had been compelled away ,but they did have an impact on her , and were stored away in her subconscious mind. Loved , loved that he had met her first.
That's not how compulsion works if the vampire is strong and on human blood like Damon is. "Consumed" is something that probably stayed with her because Damon told her that's what she wanted and then compelled her to get everything she's looking for.
Glad that Bryce got to see Aunt Jenna one (final?) time I can't believe that Matt drugged Elena lol "Maybe if you and I had met first..." just for him to have met her first. Oooh, that hit so hard. This finale was crazy. I don't blame Stefan for respecting Elena's choice of saving Matt, because he has always supported her decisions, even if it was something he didn't want. Elena is a really selfless character who just puts her family and friends first.

And he instictively feels it....thats why the quick turn around ,and a farewell kiss... "Just in case there is no later". But this is Stefan ,so Im sure there was a little bit of manipulating going on. He was surely hoping the kiss and his words would influence her in his favour. And they do. She's conflicted. Again.
paul who plays stefan actually called the writers and was like um??? i could easily grab them both. they told him it was a sybmol of elena becoming her own women and make her own choices.
WOO HOO SEASON 3 FINALE! This was a great episode! -“Have I told you lately how much I appreciate you not being the dumbest brother alive?” LMAO. -I love that Elena said that Damon consumes her. And that he was the problem between her and Stefan. I think that says a WHOLE lot. The DE scene was horribly sad too! NOOOO ELENA. IMO Elena definitely made the easy decision in choosing Stefan because they were already together and she knew he was a good guy etc. He was the safe option. With Damon, that was more of a risk. And I really believe that all the matt/elena past stuff is EXACTLY how she's feeling about Stefan NOW. She met Stefan, which made her realize she was stringing along Matt, her puppy love. And now, she's stringing along Stefan, her first love. To me, it felt like she was trying to make the “right” decision. (BTW THE FLASHBACK D/E SCENE WAS SO GOOD TOO!) The car accident scene was so horrible and so sad, and the flashback crash scene was sad too! Seeing Elena say goodbye to her dad! Aww. :( I’m sorry but Stefan saving Matt over Elena was the DUMBEST thing ever. I don't care what she was saying to him, that’s just stupid. THAT ENDING... DUN DUN DUN.
Part of me always thought that after Rose said she’s rooting for Damon and Elena, I think something shifted in Jeremy. I think he trusts Damon more than Stefan, even though Damon killed him that one time, because he knows that Elena has feelings for both, but he’s got eyes. He can see the flirting and whatnot between Damon and Elena, not to mention, if I’m not mistaken Elena is technically single currently. And he knows that Damon will always keep Elena safe no matter what.

But it also served to let Jeremy see those feelings by having him walk in on Elena kissing Damon passionately....and through Rose's exposition, understand, that Damon , bad boy or not ,could in fact, also be the best thing for her.

He gave him a choice when Anna died as to whether he wanted to forget. The compelling him to go to Denver was to perhaps save his life and get him out of harm's way. Damon also gave him hell for how he was treating Elena and Jeremy I guess must realise that Damon cares for her.
i think it would’ve made a lot more sense if jeremy was in the car / the one driving. elena really couldn’t have lived if jeremy died. her last family member. it being matt kinda makes it feel like huh???
I don’t think the “if only we met first” is literal. I mean, Damon and Elena met first but he still went on to terrorise her and her loved ones for a couple months. I think it just means if Damon had been the one there for her when she needed someone the way Stefan was after her parents died.
Exactly, and a lot dismissed that fact because he "was nice and sweet to her when they first met." If he really loved and cared for her, he wouldn't have been harming her friends after the fact he stated that. Now, granted, he does start to change, but after a lot has transpired between them. But throw it in there that he was nice before they met when in the beginning of the show he was a really bad person and that was about 3/4 months back from the 1st episode. I think this was forced to make it seem that Damon had met her first, but that's my opinion. After rewatching a couple of times, I did get used to Delena. But I feel they could have done it a different way

Despite what’s said or whatever choice is made it was Damon that got the goodbye. Her last act as a human before dying was to call and say goodbye to Damon!

Personally I’ve always hated the “he met her first” storyline they added in there, it just felt so forced to me. And writing in the “you want a love that consumes you” line too.. like there was no need to rewrite history just to make the other ship look better. Cheap shot imo.
Um … but that’s how lore works. They weren’t rewriting history. They were adding lore that fits perfectly in the story, similar to how Once Upon A Time would add lore & flashbacks to scenes that happened a while ago & works/fits perfectly on the timeline without causing plot holes.

What made me mad about the last episode was that how was they strong enough to hold klaus down when they are only 100 and something and klaus is 1000 years old and 100 times faster and stronger but klaus himself couldn't stop ric?? even when damon and stefan fought tic he won easy but somehow they strong enough to hold down an hybrid🤔
Tyler met up with Bonnie earlier and was in on the plan to put Klaus in his body. He was pretending to feel like he was dying when he asked Caroline if she felt anything. Tyler then started to turn into a wolf because he told Caroline he didn't want her to see him die (AKA so people will think Klaus died) hence the "either you leave or I'll make you leave.
The reason they believe he died is because he was playing as if he was feeling the effects of dying due to klaus being gone and because klaus was in his body didnt want her to know "klaus" was still alive and he couldnt actually die so he began forcing himself to turn to force her to leave his side pretending he did not want her to see him die. So he was just trying to get her out of there.

Klaus Tyler said "leave or I'll make you leave" which is why he started transforming intentionally. He needed to "die" alone in order to sell the ruse so he basically threatened to kill her. The turning wasn't part of the "death."

The season 3 finale is one of the most iconic finales. The fact that damon and elena met first breaks my heart. I also can’t believe Stefan let Elena die, Damon would never omg. It was also so shocking that Elena is a vampire now.

Ive been waiting for this episode to get your reactions a side from episode 10 and episode 19. Season 3 was definitely a ride probally my favorie season. Ric was a great character and his death was heartbreaking. Damon and Elena meeting first was a nice revelation in the finale when it aired. It was torture waiting for Season 4 when this was originality airing waiting through the summer to get new episodes.

Elena really lost her life after bleeding through the brain because of Klaus pushing her head first on the steps after he just bled her dry & them gets killed by his sister Rebehka. Elena just can’t catch a break smh 🤦♂️. All because she got involved with vampires that wouldn’t leave her alone. You can’t help but feel for her, because she didn’t deserve any of this

Elijah who’s been scouring the earth with Klaus & Rebehka running from Mikael said to Rose & Trevor that it was impossible that there was a new doppelgänger from the petrova gang cause they thought that it had ended with Katherine when she became a vampire. So the world is a big place & add that no one was even looking for something they didn’t know existed. Elena would’ve been fine & unnoticed if not for the Salvatore brothers bringing her into this life. The fact that she was almost all of her life being unnoticed as a Katherine look a like until she got involved with the Salvatores proves that.

YES!!! This marks a pivotal point in the series. From now on everything changes! This finale shook me to my core when I first watched it. I always knew Elena would become a vampire at some point but wasn't expecting it at that time or in that way. The car scene is weirdly very emotional and ridiculous at the same time. Elena is there fighting with Stefan and telling him to save Matt while she's literally drowning and wasting precious time. Also, why didn't Stefan help her unbuckle her seatbelt? And doesn't he have super speed? But Nina's acting along with the Sigur Rós song (which as an Icelander I was freaking out about!) made me cry so much 😭 And I'm sure if it was up to him he would've saved her but I LOVE that Stefan loves and respects Elena enough to follow her wishes and save her friend because he knows how much her friends and family mean to her.
I also love this quote: "That's what love should be. You should love the person that makes you glad to be alive". I will ALWAYS be a Stelena shipper ❤

The plot to turn Elena into a vampire had been in the works since the series began. Initially, it was to be used by the end of the 2nd season.

Elena probably only said that to Damon to soften the blow of her rejection.
But her words, and the recollection of their first meeting , is what gives Damon the will to fight back against Ric, when he had almost given up in despair. So he then he starts fighting again with renewed vigour and determination.
So, Elena, unknowingly, saves his life from the brink of death.
And Damon's blood in her system, is what saves her from death when she drowns.
A 100 miles apart from each other, and they end up saving each other's lives ,without their own knowledge.
Wow !! And that's Damon and Elena for you.
And to those people who are looking for symbolism, because this show is all about symbolism and subtexts and layers...this has been commented on a lot.
Elena symbolically dies ,cradled in Damon's arms.( because Alaric's life is tied to Elena's ,and he dies cradled thus. Also ,when Stefan goes back to the car after taking Matt to safety, Elena is already dead)
And Elena is reborn with Damon's blood in her.
Added to all this, is Bonnie's premonition when she touched Elena, all the way back in the Pilot episode.

And her heart is breaking all this while. She's devastated. She refuses to believe that he will be gone, that she would not see him again.
Everything she should be saying to Stefan, the man she loves. I mean, what if she didnt make it back in time to him.?That was a real possibility too.

We are shown Meredith telling Damon this. And we register Damon's utter shock and disbelief at this.
Nothing on Stefan's reaction. We only get a shot of Stefan sitting in silent grief at the mortuary,waiting for Elena to wake up.

Because she may have chosen to return home but it was not only for Stefan - she expected to see him and Caroline and Tyler and the others. She knew Damon would perhaps die alone. She called to talk to him and to reassure him that things would be okay. Her 'maybe if we'd met first' comment - he knew they had and still didn't tell her. He respected her choice and didn't try to influence it. Stefan tried to influence her by kissing her like that before he left - he was more devious at that point than Damon. My thought is this. If you love someone and you meet another and you are torn between the two, then you go with the second one - because if you were that much in love with the first one you wouldn't have kind of fallen for the other.

Agreed, this is one of my favorite episodes but also the season 1 finale & the ghost episode where Anna reunites with Pearl, Anna’s death & her reunion with Pearl always makes me tear up when watching this series. Also every episode involving Kai later on … which speaking of … no spoilers but I found it funny that they didn’t believe for a second that Elena was dead-dead & was written off the show because there’s no way they’d write her off since she’s the main character 👀. I can’t wait for them to get to the later seasons. 4 has Nina Dobrev’s best performance in one episode in particular after a certain thing happens in an episode about grief where funnily not much happens in the episode but it’s an extremely powerful episode, I can’t wait for them to see that episode cause I feel like it’s gonna break them like it broke me.

Its very controversial but I always had a different perspective of why Stefan keeps letting Elena do her own thing when it comes to decisions even when it comes to life and death. So I think Stefan lets it happen bc he didn't respect damon's choice of not wanting to become a vampire anymore and just die as a human being, so that backfired as you know and damon wanted to make stefans life hell and hated him for it, so Stefan obviously always felt guilty for taking damon's choice away, and he probably thinks that if I don't respect my girlfriends choice like how I did my brother he would feel that same type of guilt and would think he was being selfish yet again to another person he loves. But my problem is Stefan is strong enough to pull both out if we are thinking logically, but anyway I've always see people having double standards on if it had been damon and he just saves Elena no questions ask but not respecting her choice to die for someone she loves when Stefan did the exact same thing to damon's choice to die but saved him anyway.

Because his compulsion had worked 4 months ago. Why wasnt it working here ? And then ofc he sees the vervain necklace.
But, yeah..Damon meeting Elena first was a wonderful revelation.
And more importantly, the placement was exactly right .
And the instant connection that she felt with Damon. That spark.

And I really believe that all the matt/elena past stuff is EXACTLY how she's feeling about Stefan NOW. She met Stefan, which made her realize she was stringing along Matt, her puppy love. And now, she's stringing along Stefan, her first love. To me, it felt like she was trying to make the “right” decision. (BTW THE FLASHBACK D/E SCENE WAS SO GOOD TOO!)

Part of me always thought that after Rose said she’s rooting for Damon and Elena, I think something shifted in Jeremy. I think he trusts Damon more than Stefan, even though Damon killed him that one time, because he knows that Elena has feelings for both, but he’s got eyes. He can see the flirting and whatnot between Damon and Elena, not to mention, if I’m not mistaken Elena is technically single currently.
And he knows that Damon will always keep Elena safe no matter what.

He gave him a choice when Anna died as to whether he wanted to forget. The compelling him to go to Denver was to perhaps save his life and get him out of harm's way. Damon also gave him hell for how he was treating Elena and Jeremy I guess must realise that Damon cares for her.

I don’t think the “if only we met first” is literal. I mean, Damon and Elena met first but he still went on to terrorise her and her loved ones for a couple months. I think it just means if Damon had been the one there for her when she needed someone the way Stefan was after her parents died.

Exactly, and a lot dismissed that fact because he "was nice and sweet to her when they first met." If he really loved and cared for her, he wouldn't have been harming her friends after the fact he stated that. Now, granted, he does start to change, but after a lot has transpired between them. But throw it in there that he was nice before they met when in the beginning of the show he was a really bad person and that was about 3/4 months back from the 1st episode. I think this was forced to make it seem that Damon had met her first, but that's my opinion. After rewatching a couple of times, I did get used to Delena. But I feel they could have done it a different way

Despite what’s said or whatever choice is made it was Damon that got the goodbye. Her last act as a human before dying was to call and say goodbye to Damon!

Personally I’ve always hated the “he met her first” storyline they added in there, it just felt so forced to me. And writing in the “you want a love that consumes you” line too.. like there was no need to rewrite history just to make the other ship look better. Cheap shot imo.
Um … but that’s how lore works. They weren’t rewriting history. They were adding lore that fits perfectly in the story, similar to how Once Upon A Time would add lore & flashbacks to scenes that happened a while ago & works/fits perfectly on the timeline without causing plot holes.
wdym... that scene is a very important one, it was not unnecessary and very important for the storyline in the future... just because you dont like it doesn't mean it was not important though... also, shows qualities of Damon's character that I find very nice to know and notice

What made me mad about the last episode was that how was they strong enough to hold klaus down when they are only 100 and something and klaus is 1000 years old and 100 times faster and stronger but klaus himself couldn't stop ric?? even when damon and stefan fought tic he won easy but somehow they strong enough to hold down an hybrid🤔
Tyler met up with Bonnie earlier and was in on the plan to put Klaus in his body. He was pretending to feel like he was dying when he asked Caroline if she felt anything. Tyler then started to turn into a wolf because he told Caroline he didn't want her to see him die (AKA so people will think Klaus died) hence the "either you leave or I'll make you leave.
The reason they believe he died is because he was playing as if he was feeling the effects of dying due to klaus being gone and because klaus was in his body didnt want her to know "klaus" was still alive and he couldnt actually die so he began forcing himself to turn to force her to leave his side pretending he did not want her to see him die. So he was just trying to get her out of there.
