I like the new light ring, softer light with less glare, looks good. That's a pretty piece of wood, really like the blacks myself.

I agree, I think it looks better polished and not messed with. You did a great job on the polish. Would you put a straight edge across the surface to see if it us completely flat or had a slight depression in the middle. If not then some materials just polish better than others. Again a special, beautiful, well polished piece. Love the vibrant lap. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

It's completely flat. The center just doesn't take as good a polish. It's pretty uniform. Looks better in person.

@@RockhoundingLife just a slightly different deposition of silica in the center. It looks great though.

Wow, I never knew we had a petrified forest in Canada!! This was really fascinating to learn and even more amazing to see a beautiful specimen receive theove and care it deserves! I really like the contrast between the the black outer rim and the lighter black in the center. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of Canadian history with us!

Love the polish job, really cool piece of petrified wood, cool dark color to it. Thanks for explaining the pattern, and how it might have grown next to another tree, makes sense. Great video!

That's a mighty fine piece of PW. The fact it has Cdn. origins makes it even more special. I had no idea about that BC history.

I definitely like it better black than that funky gray artificial color. Fantastic job polishing it. I like how you showed us where you were displaying it proudly with all the others. Kamloops sounds like a neat place. Thanks for sharing the awesome video! Rock on 😁🤘

Jason, the end product is a pretty nice piece for your display pieces. I prefer the natural colour of the stone. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin

Kamloops is such a beautiful area 5 hours to my north, our petrified wood looks pretty similar, lots of iron and carbon. I'm going to have to try bleaching a piece as an experiment! Awesome polish job, looks great!

Turned out being a beautiful polish job. Might it be a type of black maple? Years ago I bought a piece of cylinder shape polished black maple (without the bark) and it looks very similar.
