Thanks for having me! It was a joy.
Thanks for the great sit down Nick!
Nick can you review the zt 0308?
Just wish nick would actually use his knives instead of just using them to open envelopes hahahha
Nick “if I can’t carry it it’s just rusting metal “Shabazz class that mate
Great to see you on another channel Nick love your reviews & breakdowns!
'If I can't carry it, it's just rusting metal!'
Don't stop at stickers! Put that on a shirt!
And an Exxon Shabazz coffee mug in annodized gold.
Freakin absolutely!
@@macgyverbryan1377 That would be a thing. 100%
Less than a week ago a friend gifted me his very first knife, a Boy Scout multibladed knife made in the 50’s. I started carrying and using it the very first day, and I’m blown away by how much I’ve already come to depend on the various tools it has. Covered head to toe in a light layer of rust, but it’s trucking just fine!
“I’m social distancing so I’m not fully kitted out” translation : “I’m not wearing pants.... but here’s another knife sitting nearby so I don’t have to admit it!”
Mike Julien 😂😆 Gotta be true! 👌🏾
Facts
The best thing about "sheltering in place" no need for pants.
You too? Lets meet up.
Two of my favorite RUclips personalities! Definitely happy to see this happen. Thanks guys!
Huge fan of this video, that one was a lot of fun. Bladehq and Nick Shabazz, the two channels almost entirely responsible for getting me into this wonderful hobby.
Also, thanks a lot Nick, you finally pushed me over the edge to pick up a Cold Steel AD15.
Same
I've been into knive longer than most y'all probably been alive, and I'm only 40..
Buying knives is hardly a hobby lmao
@@woahitstheillusion9749 it's far more than just buying knives or even collecting them. Buying, selling, trading, interacting with the community and its people. Knives have different blade shapes, different steels, different handle materials, different locks, different sizes, and different purposes overall. There's so much to learn about them, whether it be the world of production knives, or custom knives, or maybe even art knives.
It's a hobby no different than cars, guns, watches, etc. There is simply a lot more nuance to the hobby that one might think at first glance.
Some of the best friends I've made are people in the knife hobby.
"I'm out in Vegas with my freaking wife"- Nick Shabazz
That first knife looks like a really expensive harmonica.
By Jove, you're right!
A fancy damasteel harmonica.
@@macgyverbryan1377 i need one
Wait till he brings out the aborted dolphin knife he likes. Ggggrismoooo
I wouldn’t wrap your lips around it if I were you
Love the "If I can't carry it, it's just rusting metal" quote. I have over 50 blades and my day to day favorite is the ZT 0450. A Nick Shabazz GEM.
My favorite two knife reviewers on earth! Thanks so much for this collaboration, I really enjoyed it.
i would buy a "if i cant carry it, its just rusted metal" sticker. lol
*Rusting
Jamie's editing is hilarious
As usual. He really has a good understanding of memes and editing
Yeah his grasp in pop culture is bar none
This was such an incredible video. Two of my favorite knife people. Zac and Nick.
Thank you for this. 🤙🤙
Blade HQ and Nick Shabazz !! Thanks for the video guys !!
To Nick , I got pick pocketed for a brand new $400 camera out of my front hoodie pocket in Vegas . I feel your pain !! That Pena front flipper trapper is one of my grails that I need to get my hand on !!
It’s nice for you guys to be able to put these videos out during quarantine time. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see Nick on this show, it’s funny I just watched his review on the bench made bugout mini
You guys rock! Very cool video- thank you for getting together!
If I had to drop down to one knife it would be rough but I have a Bob Dozier 4" drop point fixed blade with a crossdraw kydex sheath. I bought it from a great guy I met at a gun show who had kind of taken me under his wing as far as knife education. He has since passed but that knife will always hold a special place in my heart & collection.
Thanks again guys!😀👍
Just want to say thanks to you guys for making the effort to make these videos during these difficult times.
Great video...Thank you for your great work. It's one of the few things that keeps me amused while being confined in the house
Awesome to see Nick on bladehq. He had some amazing stuff for sure
As soon as he said "hard to get" I knew a Holt knife would be up first. Lol that funny bastard knows how to flex.
some really interesting ones I haven't seen before. Thanks for sharing the collection!
This is a great video. Just ordered the Civivi Fracture like 5 mins ago from BladeHQ. Have a feeling going to love having it for my EDC. Now subbed to your channel. Great reviews
Stickers and moral patch please 😁
"If I can't carry it, it's just rusting metal"
Thank you so much Nick and Zach for amazingly special video!!! Love it!!! Please keep doing more knife vids together! And Yes, I’ll proudly say that TRM Atom is My #1 Knife followed by Spyderco Para3 and PM2!!! ✌🏻😀🙌🏻💯💎
Cool to see two of the coolest knife guys on the video! Well, hear both of them anyway.
One knife would probably have to be the Giant Mouse Ace Biblio.
Thanks for keeping up on making content for us to enjoy. Got myself a BladeHQ Vox Dapper Ti today. Small flex lol
Nick has such great videos. His reviews are great and he's pretty darn funny too.
I caught your Rick Roll on the Holt Bladeworks...
You guys really need to get Advanced Knife Bro on, would be epic.
Dropkick Engage YES!!!!
I have quite a few but most lately carry a benchmade contego m4 steel. I roofed my garage a few weeks ago and used it to cut shingles. It was very tough, sharp, and able to handle the task!
If I had to pick, my late 1950s/early 1960s Boy Scout Camp Knife Imperial version. Just damn useful for many tasks and can't beat the history and look. If I had a GEC camp knife, I might consider that as my one knife. Love Nick's take on knives and life. A true gift to the community.
"how much do i owe you because im not giving this back." he said the same thing to his future father in law
I loved the video. Very enjoyable to watch. Might have to get one of those Chaparrals.
Great vid! You guys should do this more often.
I too would probably go with the slysz bowie. I’m getting a hollow grind on my paysan from razor edge. That may just be my perfect knife when it’s done 👊
God I’ve missed this, I’ve been in Army basic training for 3 months and I just got my phone back here at AIT. Gotta catch up on videos
Man your lucky the Army must've changed shit alot cause in '97-98 when I did BCT and AIT we weren't allowed any of that shit until the week before graduation. Our Drill sargent was an ex Navy Seal...Cool dude but was the hardest on us out of the entire company.
I’ve got the Rat 1 in D2 and it is an absolute beast. I beat on that thing day in and day out and it just continues to impress me with its value and performance.
Awesome video!! Who doesn't like good hand manipulation now n then??! Great having Nick on too! Make him a regular feature!! You guys are good together!
Thank God... I have had massive BHQ withdrawal... and now your back with Shabazz....and Zach my favorite of course ❤
Great video! Currently it's a time between the BM 940 or the 20CV Bareknuckle.
Love my Protech TR5 & my CR small Inkosi with insingo blade. Carry both as edc!
How does Nick make a candid conversation feel like he pre-recorded the while video and sent it to Blade HQ 😂
I only have two knifes as of now. But my everyday carry that I can’t seem to put up is a Kershaw RJ Martin Tactical.
Got a kizer intrepid on the sale 2 days ago. It’s my first kizer and I’m super excited
Love how firing the Protech literally clips the audio, haha. Can't wait to get a sprint...Will you guys ever have the black/grey jazz scales again?!
My one knife is the Victorinox Fieldmaster. Been carrying the same one for the last 13 years
Great video my two favorites. Thanks GUYS .
I own a 60 knife collection.
My favorite EDC is farum forge GENT .IT'S EDC Perfection. Kerry
Zac, thank you sir for working so hard to keep me sane 🙏🏻 please stay safe out there
Just ordered a new quartermaster, can’t wait for it to show up!
That's really cool that your fans got together and bought you that Chris Reeves Nmandi. That carbon fiber is sweeeeet!!!!
My EDC rotation: I went a little overboard and bought a lightly used Slysz Bowie for $425, but I’ve been carrying it since I bought it last week and I picked up some brass standoffs off eBay. 2nd place is the Smock in 20cv with white micarta scales, 3rd is the forest green PM2 in cts204p.
I did the same thing and don't regret it. I love Spyderco knives and having a Bowie is the top onlf that game. People say don't pay secondary prices but I would rather have the Bowie at $450 than a ton of other knives that are priced that much.
formationIT Exactly, it’s worth what someone is willing to pay. I’ve bought and sold sebenzas many times, just not the knife for me... but the Slysz Bowie is a great fit for me so to me it was worth the price of admission.
The Dragonfly 2 is actually my primary EDC. No matter what I’m carrying, that’s my main go-to knife. Despite being small, it breezes through 99% of all typical cutting tasks.
I have a TKJ dlc cruwear shaman and an m4 shaman with rcbw skinny scales and the cruwear is definitely the beater. And it takes it and sharpens right back up no problem. It has become my favorite knife of all time: perfect blade shape, size, ergos, pocketability, lock... what more could you want.
Dude blade hq and nick together is like a dream
I have many favorites in my collection and if I were to keep one the selection could change from day to day, but right now it would be the Spyderco Native 5 lightweight.
Great chemistry guys! Was a joy
Hey I am new to the knife world but just want a nice hard abuse knife I can’t decide between the para 3 and the Manix (I plan on customizing) what should I pick?
Love this collaboration!
Great vid. As per your only one knife, it would be the Buck 110 that my grandfather bought for me in 83 when I was born and forgot to give it to me lol. After his death a few years ago I received it as part of his collection. It's never been carried as I have other 110's that I currently carry and a Buck Crosslock I carried through highschool, college, and up till about 3 years ago.
Great show. Nick rocks. Blade HQ keeps leading the way as well. Shake off the rust and carry on...
My one knife.. My Leatherman Wave +. Speaking strictly knives, my Protech Godfather with custom finished wood scales (I supply Mitchell Golds furniture finish room work, the boss did it)
I love that you had Nick on! Always been one of my favourite RUclipsrs. Always supported him on Patreon. I got a reward of a Kershaw Dividend!
💪💪💪
So you got a dividend of a kershaw.
Thanks for the kind words :D
@@NickShabazz no worries, Nick. Have a good one
The spyderco shamen in wood is beautiful!
One knife to keep from my current collection: GiantMouse GMF-1
Nick is the best. I love all of his knife reviews!
My one would be my Rick Hinderer Eklipse 3.0! Just a fantastic all round knife, love it.
My one knife would be the Gerber strongarm
This is what I have been waiting for
I got the Para 3 Lightweight a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't left my pocket. I own and love a normal Para 3 with custom micarta scales and somehow I love the Para 3 Lightweight more. That was unexpected. Ended up buying the Chaparral FRN today for that reason. And I love my little Dragonfly. It stays in my coin pocked all the time.
Blaze on man, gotta enjoy the quarantine somehow!
I’m carrying the Rex-45 Shaman with wood scales todayNice choice on Shaman being in the top ten for Nick. It’s definitely in my top ten.
Nice job on the Rick Roll! Wasn't expecting that. 🤣
My para 2 it’s an awesome knife it’s amazing steel S30v I love it the most
Nice to see Nick's knives on another channel!
Great vid guys! Keep it up
My one knife would be my Benchmade Griptillian. I think it is one of, if not the best all-around folders, for the money. At home in the office or the field, it can handle anything, and looks going doing it!
Great collection video 👍
the 1 knife out of my collection: hogue mf-01, nice small, good construction and materials, and one handed opening and closing , i can just swing it shut once it was broken in....
Love the editing Jamie!!!
Reminds me of the Bon Appetite channel's editing. Pure gold.
Not me on this one. -Jamie
@@BladeHQ Just watch out for some misspelled words. :)
You've had Talon Sei, Taylor from Best Damn EDC and Nick Shabazz as guests....still waiting on Cutlerylover lol.
Love collection videos and different knives. I don't care much for all production 200 and under knife videos. It's nice to have a mix of production but also nice to have a mix of lesser known makers like TRM or the Holts
You honestly really Rick Rolled us with the link to the spectre )):
Tie between the Benchmade folding Adamas and Spyderco Yojimbo 2
The Spyderco with wooden scales is a classic! Definitely.
My 2 favorite knife channels!
I cant speak for everyone but I would watch a Zac and Kirk top 10 knives @bladehq
Benchmade Grip - tough and fits well in my hand!
Hougue/ Doug Ritter knife is miles better than the Griptilian and only few bucks more. They fixed the flaws Benchmade has yet too. The Able locks even better than the Axis.
Delica , dragonfly , chaparral , rat 2 , ladybug , bk 16 !!
Thanks for the link to the Spectre!
Nick is a, if not the goat of all things edc… unlike everyone else in the industry he actually keeps in mind what is actually practical to real life
I trust Nick Shabazz period. Every knife he has given a positive review of that I have bought, he was 100% correct. We may have different taste in knife size but Nick knows his stuff. I'd love to shake his floating hand!
When is Blade HQ going to do an exclusive on the Spyderco slysz Bowie?
Awesome outro Jamie! Have a great walk!
Luckily I don’t have to have just one knife. But out of what I own, I guess I’d have to choose the Manix 2.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to sharpen a knife with no flats on a lansky sharpener? Thanks
That holt is like a Rorschach test. Nick saw Batman in the blade pattern I saw a octopus. Absolutely amazing knife
If i had to choose one knife out of my collection it would be my Zero Tolerance 0562. Love that knife .
Zack looks like he smoked a blunt before this :D
I’ve been searching for a Holt Specter! They are unobtainium!!
Hahahahah you guys got me good on the Holt spectre link....... ok you got me 3 times lol ima click it a 4th time to make sure though.
